Rise of Fascism in the United States [SPLIT]

Just a reminder on Bluesky....

"There is an entire chapter in Project 2025 about removing married women’s right to vote. It explains that the “head of household,” aka the husband, should vote for the entire family. There was another chapter about removing the right to vote from unmarried women, as well as taking away their right to contraceptives. The SAVE Act is just the start when it comes to removing a women’s right to vote and prevent pregnancy."

Well Nana's going to shit her pants when she goes to sign up for SS on Xitter. Or turn into a NAZI fuck.

I suppose Musk and the DOGEbros. already have her info.

Four Democrats voted in favor of the SAVE Act:

Jared Golden, Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, Henry Cuellar, and Ed Case.

Perez defended her vote...in part by saying that she doesn't think it can pass the Senate.

Cuellar was indicted on charges of bribery, unlawful foreign influence, and money laundering, allegedly accepting nearly $600,000 in bribes from foreign entities in exchange for political favors.
His trial has faced multiple delays, with the latest date set for September 2025. So we can be pretty sure his vote was bought.

The other two are the typical stoney faced white guys who likely don't believe women should vote.

It will require 7 Dems to join the GQP in the Senate to pass.

Without their votes to support the bill, it would have still passed 216 to 212 if they had voted with the Dems.

This is why right wing Xians are increasing loated and feared. Always the victims.

Always weilding a cudgel to make everyone do what they want.

And now propped up by a snitch campaign.

The Trump administration has ordered State Department employees to report on any instances of coworkers displaying “anti-Christian bias” as part of its effort to implement a sweeping new executive order on supporting employees of Christian faith working in the federal government....

...The cable was sent out to embassies around the world under Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s name. The instructions also were released in a department-wide notice....

...The cable encourages State Department employees to report on one another through a tip form that can be anonymous. “Reports should be as detailed as possible, including names, dates, locations (e.g. post or domestic office where the incident occurred,” the cable reads.

So if you tell a co-worker or employee that their negative opinion on LGBTQ rights, or abortion or whatever is not appropriate in the workplace...expect that one of them is likely going to send an anonymous note.

Almost like it was planned that way, eh?

A thoughtful response to the christofascist almost Soviet or NAZI style campaign to get people to snitch on one another.

20 questions for Rubio.

The question also remains...will their be a reporting mechanism for muslims? Remember after 911 when muslim people were literally being attacked for their faith?

This caught my eye this morning...it isn't about FEMA aid as much as it is about the courts telling the White House that the president cannot be selective about releasing aid.

In Trump's fantasy world, he will personally decide who merits or doesn't merit FEMA aid, although the real prupose is to demolish FEMA entirely and funnel the funds into Eric Prince's concentration camps and tax cuts for people like Eric Prince.

Another question is whether TrumpCo. will keep launching a flood of appeals and suits in order to push many of these issues up to SC?

But:

The die is cast....and the Roberts court gave Trump the power to do it.

The Supreme Court didn't rubber-stamp him; they can't do anything to remove him. The people who are guilty of not stopping him are in the House.

I am talking about how Roberts basically handed Trump imperial powers some months ago when they ruled on immunity.

But you are right.

Congress is as guilty as Trump for what happened with El Salvador by not making any attempt to restrain his over-reach.

This should in and of itself be grounds for impeachment, but Congress knows they wouldn't impeach and if they did, they still won't convict, because Trump is the useful tool of the oligarchs who own them all.

Trump with his ‘what can I do about it’ is ignoring the Court and if they are paying attention they need to hold him to the due process aspect of their decision. If the administration again snatches someone off the street and deports them I expect the court to make a stink. They may not be able to stop him but it’s their job not to make it easy for them.

It’s unlikely that if the court discovered its spine congress would follow but it would turn the pressure up and that and a bright spotlight will make Trump retreat…….he’s not a brave man.

Trump with his ‘what can I do about it’ ...
Pause for a moment and think about this: the big tough man in the White House, the guy who brags about being the master "deal-maker" is saying that he can take over Canada and Greenland. But he can't get the dictator of a small country with 6 million people to let the most powerful country in the world to have one man that was sent there in error.

El Salvador, the country that the US is somehow paying to incarcerate people, is able to tell the President of United States, "No"?

If this is true, Trump is a powerless pussy.

An overview of why nothing will be done by the courts to enforce the order by the Supreme Court. This time or any time.

This is how a fascist state operates.

Trump is not powerless.

The White House made it nakedly clear in the smirking press conference that it had outsmarted the Supreme Court by allowing Bukele to claim that he could not ship a terrorist back into the US.

Not only was there no overture made by TrumpCo. to say they would be discussing the matter further with Bukele, Trump told him to build 5 more to hold people kidnapped and shipped out of the US.

This was Trump making it clear that El Salvador is a dependency and Bukele his Satrap.

The Trump Administration is getting on the bad side of Federal judges because they're doing the same thing Rudy did in 2020- saying one thing in press interviews and saying something else in court. The DOJ attorney representing the government was removed last week because he told the truth in court (better to keep your law license than worry about a miserable job at the DOJ).

Pam Bondi is on Fox several times a week with her orange-stained nose making excuses for flouting the law. Last I checked, she has an bar card, too.

I suspect this is not only a "catch me if you can" game that the Trump Administration thinks is clever. Stephen Miller is the source of all of this and he's the one that the Democrats need to be going after.

If this guy gets back to the US, we're going to discover that there's no evidence for the DOJ's accusations against him. Next, he and his family will be showing up on news shows talking about the conditions in the El Salvadoran concentration camps. It's a PR nightmare that Bondi and Noem want to avoid.

WASHINGTON — A federal judge said in an order Wednesday that he has found probable cause to hold the Trump administration in criminal contempt over the deportation flights that it sent to El Salvador.

Yeah, but who's going to arrests?

^ Exactly.

Until the Courts order Bondi to be arrested...or someone else near the top of the food chain, Trump is going to flout the law until he finally seizes complete power and destroys the law.

To be honest, I think that the El Salvador thing...on top of the RRRzzzia love thing has hit Canadians even harder than the tariffs thing or the endless nonsense about the 51st state thing.

Because it signifies a real pivot away from democratic ideals built on human rights.

Canada know can see a real possibility where, if invaded by the US, concentration camps and deportations are not only a possibility but a 100% reality.
