Rock star! Supernova

First, I want to thank everyone for keeping this thread alive and for posting! It's been a good season, even if the so-called rumours about Supernova wanting Lukas before the show even began.

We've seen some great new acts. I'll look forward to seeing more from Ryan, Storm, Toby, and Dilana for sure, and I'll peak in and see if Magni and Zayra are doing anything interesting.

Now, as for the finale .... yup, it sucked big time. I had discounted the earlier posted rumour about Lukas being pre-selected, but alas it seems it was true.

I was excited that Ryan was the fan favorite for his original song and got to come back and play his song. he deserved to win the car; his original was the best.

Dilana was the best part of the whole TV show. I'm sure that this show will jumpstart her career in a bigger way than touring with Supernova - or whatever they call themselves.

The fact that they can't use the name "Supernova" is SO funny! They totally lost out on any publicity from this show.

I think Dilana can be the next superstar, and I think Ryan can have a successful career as well. And I think Toby has the potential to do well.

But, clearly I am not going to care a bit about following this band. Lukas is a good singer but I just don't like him. His original was awful.

Last year, I actively followed INXS after they picked JD Fortune. But I couldn't care less about this new group.

I wonder if the controversy about Lukas being pre-selected before the show will pop up in the media. (posted earlier in this thread, in case you missed it.)

And I wonder what group will be featured next year.

For me, this season has been more about finding some really great new talent to watch for, rather than picking a lead singer for a group.

I purposely didn't read the spoiler post (#100) just because I knew if Pukas was the winner it would totally ruin the remainder of the season for me. So I just went back and read it...seems pretty obvious that their was a reliable leak...despite Dave Navarro's denials. At the time that article came out there were still 5 rockers...so either a 1 in 5 chance guess of being right or a leak...hmmm...I think leak. I just have to question the band/producers why they would commit to someone beforehand when there's a real chance that someone else would be better or better recieved by the public...just makes no sense to me.

I have to agree with snapcat that it was enjoyable and worthwhile to watch the show this season for the talent, eye candy and entertainment value of many of the rockers/performances...not necessarily who won the competition...and certainly not for SN.

Apparently, I'm the only one here who likes Supernova's tracks, crappy decision in a lead or otherwise. But yeah, the season was really more about the great peeps that we got to "know" - - dudes across the world love Storm, Dilana is hardcore, Toby deserved better, and Magni was just awesome. At the very least, we got a great season.
