Rock star! Supernova

WOW...Dilana Is becoming quite the "snippy" bitch![-X
I'm glad Dave set her In her place. I think it was time for a little ego check anyway!

I've said from the beginning Ryan Is bringing It every week!:=D: ..|

Toby......that shirt came off and it was MAGIC! *|*That man is smokin!:D

What was the deal tonight? It looked like a serious smear campaign aimed at Dilana. I really have a hard time believing that she is the bitch that she was made out to be. There was some creative editing going on.I think some one felt that she needed to be brought down. Let's face it, for the last few weeks she's ended up with the worst songs and that didn't work, so I guess they decided to try character assassination.I just wonder who she pissed off.

Lukas still an annoying, ego-maniacal little gnome. In addition to looking like a gnome, my boyfriend thinks he looks like a marionette from "Thunderbirds". Hard to disagree.

Not sorry to see Patrice go. Hopefully next week it will be Ryan or Lukas(or both). They both really need to be dispensed with.Neither is as good as they think they are.Toby's trying and put forth a first class effort fronting the band. Too bad the song sucked. Is it me, or is Toby a better performer with fewer clothes?

Toby has great energy on stage...but every once in a while he hits some pretty flat notes. I really like watching him though...and I think SN really likes him too.

Ryan is just too intense for me but seems to be a crowd and SN favorite. I really don't like his style...therefore he'll probably win the whole thing. Last years winner for INXS (JD Fortune) was my least favorite and every week everyone seemed to be digging him more and more...I see a repeat pattern here (god I hope not!)

the latest webisode is up (week 9)....starring Dilana...and her mental breakdown over things she said...will she get out of her funk in time for the next show? ....spoiler....there will be blood!

http://rockstar.msn.com/Default.aspx

As much as I like her...she seems more upset that she got caught and chastized (by Dave) about saying things about her peers than remorseful about actually saying and feeling those things.

Yeah...a little too much drama surrounding Dilana. Got kinda old.

This week was awesome. I thought everyone did a fanatsic job. I think that Storm or Magni should be the next to go...they are good, but I don't see them as stars.

I'm glad they got rid of Zayra. She seemed to shout her songs instead of sing them. The only decent performance she gave was when she sang in Spanish.

Thought Dilana was great singing with Supernova. I really hope she wins.

Yes....they gave way to much attention to the Dilana mishap. It's very weird too because the comments in and of themselves were not that bad (granted shouldn't have been said) but it really just snowballed with Dave calling her out on it on the show...showing the clips to the other contestants...then cameras and producers in her face back at the mansion trying to exploit the whole mess...geesh.. and got ugly and unfortuneate that it lead to Magni getting slightly cut on the head when she had her fit...ugh. I really didn't like the way it almost felt like the situation got exploited and exagerated.

Top 6 did a great show last night. Storm will probably be next to go ...but I thought her and Toby's combo performance was really good. Gilby was a jerk for saying her performance was not as memorable as Jill's (Jill who? ) I don't think Magni has anything to worry about...I think he's top 2 with Dilana as far as SN is concerned. Ryan still bugs the shit out of me...but they love him so natch he will win. Love Toby!!! Lukas (the gnome...lol) is too goth...so he goth to go!

That WAS good last night! I thought everyone did well, after they finally got through the 'reality show' drama. (I don't personally hold rock stars as paragons of virtue or anything, so offstage behavior doesn't much phase me.) I thought Dilana kicked all sorts of a$$ last night, after a few weeks of 'boring', where she didn't seem to take the advice she'd given to Dana about 'feeling' the lyrics. (I honestly didn't think she got the meaning behind 'Cats in the Cradle', and missed an opportunity for a truly chilling 'Every Breath You Take'.)
Toby is just such terrific eye candy that I don't really care what he sings, although he sings best when shirtless, IMO. And he helped out Storm! Yes! Very cool, that. I kinda hope Storm's in the Bottom Three this week, just because I think what she would do as her OWN choice (finally!) would blow us away, and I'm all for that!
I like Magni, as well, and hope he's safe. Ryan still creeps me out, and I suppose if I found either he or The Gnome attractive I'd care more for their performances, but I'd love to see them leave. Soon.

Did you see Dilana tonight? "Psycho Killer" is one of my all time favorite songs and she took it to a whole different place. David Byrne would be proud.Once again, she pulls a song out of left field and makes it her own. I really have to wonder what all the drama was about. It all seemed so contrived, like someone at the show thought she needed to be brought down or humbled. Her performance of "Mother, Mother" was also quite mind-blowing. Considering how limited the song pool seems to be, how long will it be before she has to do that tired "Bring Me To Life"?

Storm was great tonight. She thought it was her turn to go, so she tossed caution to the wind and just decided to have fun. It was pretty cool.

I was pleasantly surprised to see Ryan go, since he seems to be the band favorite these last few weeks. I really had expected Storm to go and had really hoped that Lukas would go. Oh well, maybe next week they can rid us of the annoying gnome.

As long as gnome boy loses, I'll be fine. Toby did great with pulling those ladies up to stage, everyone really had to up the ante, so watching them try new shit was really awesome.

I'd hate to see Storm go, she's so fine, she's like God's weapon against homosexuality or something. But I have to agree qith Gil, that song really didn't make me want to start texting. Still, Magni or Dilana for the win!

I don't know why...but I have a hard time seeing any of those people as a frontman for Supernova. I can kinda see either Toby, Lukas, or Dilana...but it really doesn't seem like their niche.

Well, I'm NOT happy with who left tonight!

Next to Dilana I was rooting for the "Dark Horse"

I find it puzzling that T. Lee tells Ryan he has brought something exciting and steps up his game every week and then tells Storm her performances are the same every week and they'd like to see something different......then proceeds to send Ryan packing!?!?

I think Ryan tried to throw in a bit too much theatrics in his "Baba O'Reilly" rendition but I still thought it was great!..|

Me thinks they just want two females left in the competition so Ryan was booted!

Not a good reality week for me seeing as how my Dani will probably leave the house tonight on BB7!!!! [-X

Glad I don't play the horses because I can never seem to pick the winner!!!#-o :grrr:

[edit]

I was glad to see Ryan go...I honestly thought SN liked him and felt he was a front runner...nice surprise. (!)

I have to agree with you in that they just wanted to keep a female. As much as I like Storm...and she rocked Helter Skelter...she is not right to front the band. They have been much more critical of her performances in the past and given Ryan more praise and an encore...so it doesn't quite add up. This was her first time in the bottom 3(?...I think that is what they said) where Ryan has been in bottom before (?)...maybe that had something to do with it too.

I guess it doesn't really matter what order the losers leave in...I'm sure the band has a pretty good idea by now who will win.

Toby better win, now, or at least Dilana. I'm torn, but now am leaning toward Toby. Dilana will do well solo.

I agree. They need more girls in the end game so it won't look like they're picking the women off. Or at least that's what I think.

I pulled this from www.melodicrock.com :

TALKING ROCKSTAR:
"An interesting week for those involved in RockStar: Supernova. The main issue involves an online press report stating that the winner of the show was predetermined and then naming them (see below). Show co-host Dave Navarro is busiest trying to put out the fire, helped by the fact that the leak comes from a completely crap source (The entirely unreliable World Entertainment News Network). So why bother mentioning it here? Funnily enough - I heard the same rumor about 6 weeks back.
Two other things worth mentioning before getting into Dave's comeback. First of all, the same rumor was circulating last year about Mig. He ended up coming third. But earlier in this season a friend of mine said they were chatting with JD Fortune, who claimed to him then, that he knew he was in before the show started. So who knows what to believe!
Do not read on if you do not want any possible spoilers...
This is the online report circulating: "(Spoiler alert!) Veteran Hollywood gossip columnist Janet Charlton insists she knows who has won reality talent competition Rock Star: Supernova, and has revealed the winner's name on her website. Although the show is live and the winner won't be officially announced until September 13, Charlton claims to have inside information on who will ultimately be named the new lead singer for the band Supernova. (Warning: spoilers after the jump!) The series follows the search for a vocalist to join the new band, formed by Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted and one-time Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilbey Clarke. Charlton says the band had the most clout when it came choosing the winner in the competition because they will have to go on the road with them.
She claims contestant Lukas Rossi was selected because band members thought he would be the best fit and, barring any unforeseen events, he will be named the winner in the series finale next month."
Here's what Dave Navarro had to say on the matter:
"Damn there are some funny rumors around regarding the show.
First of all, I don't know who Janet Charlton is, but I do know who she isn't. She aint no Perez Hilton, that's for sure. At least with Perez, you get humor and the rumors are at least based in SOME fact. He leaves it up to the reader to do the dance between the two. As for Janet, she just kind of sees what sticks.
Well, with Rockstar, she doesn't have a clue as to what she is talking about. If she has an inside source... Name it! Come on! I dare you! Name it!
If you don't know what I am talking about... She has claimed that she knows who the winner is. Trust me... Nobody knows until it's over. In fact, if there is one thing I CAN share, it's that Supernova has yet to be on the same page with each other in terms of favorites and they are waiting to see if their ideas line up in the coming weeks based on the remaining performances. Very diplomatic and democratic style.
As for the stuff about Storm being edged out through our comments... That is just stupid. Don't forget that no matter what happens, the band can throw out whoever they want for whatever reason they want. They can also save whoever they want. Hell, they don't even need reasons!
It is true that the public vote shifts the game in a huge way and that Supernova considers the results every week, but there is no reason for a conspiracy! Why would anyone try to conspire something that they ultimately control anyway? Just doesn't make sense.
These guys are busy writing and rehearsing, not to mention that Tommy is still doing Crue stuff on our days off. They don't have time to come up with a "master plan".
The remaining six are all good and tomorrow's elimination is bound to be heart-breaking for some! Each singer has a pretty solid fan base at this point. Tonight is the night, if ever there was one, to VOTE!!! I can't wait to see what kind of shit I get on this blog after the show. Since I am already at the tapings, my game has become reading all of your thoughts after each show airs.
Remember The views and opinions expressed in this page and on the couch are strictly those of the page author. The contents of this page have not been reviewed or approved by CBS, MBP or Supernova. Awwww hell yeah!"

What happens now for the show? Business as usual obviously...you'll never hear anyone comment about this on the show. But all along I have clamed that Lukas is the most likely winner as his character follows the 'script' of the show and what happened last year.
I still believe the guys will still pick Lukas as the winner - adverse publicity aside. I really don't rate him as a good vocalist at all. In fact I don't really rate any of these singers as people that will have lasting careers, Lukas might just be the best fit for the band. What does it matter anyway - there will only ever be one album and one tour!"

At first, I really didn't believe this, but after the last 2 weeks, I'm starting to wonder. They spent a lot of time trashing Dilana and a lot of it seemed like sabotage. Then on tonight's show, she turned in a great performance while injured and in the backstage footage, she's getting slammed again. After her performance, again she gets put down. Especially by Gilby Clarke, who has no room to be putting anyone down. I figure that she'll make it through this week's elimination, but she isn't going to win. It looks like it may be the gnome. Based on all the gushing from Navarro and Supernova, you would have thought that Lukas performance was the 2nd coming of Christ. Anyway, I'm guessing that Storm will be saying bye-bye tomorrow night.

Also, there is an interview with Ryan on TV Guide's websight. He gets a little nasty about the whole thing. It's a good read.

Well it was no surprise when Patrice went this week. I really felt sorry for Dilana but hopefully she's back on track. I just wonder what Supernova will make of her behaviour.
