Rock star! Supernova

What about Doro/Warlock(20 years of success in Europe),Girlschool, Lita Ford,Garbage (sort of) and Vixen? There are others, that's just off the top of my head.
 
Boy, tonight's show was wild. Toby looks pretty good naked. And I'm starting to wonder if Mr Newstead plays for our team or what...the gaydar is going off just a bit.

Zayra's performance tonight proved what I've said about her.She did one of her own compositions tonight, in Spanish and she was BRILLIANT. She still doesn't rock, but she's really good doing what she did.And she wore another cool outifit. Dilana blew everyone away (once again) with her rendition of "Cat's In the Cradle". I have hated that song forever, but in her hands, I didn't. Toby's abominable performance of "Solsbury Hill" should earn him a place in the bottom 3. There are some songs that you don't mess with and "Solsbury Hill" is one of them.Lukas and Patrice just get more annoying as time goes on. And I didn't think that Storm sucked as much as the band said she did. I mean, she did what she could with "I Will Survive".I thought it showed some effort, but they slammed her hard anyway. I'm guessing that the bottom 3 this week will be Storm, Ryan and either Zayra or Toby.
 
Zayra's performance was fantastic but she is sooo not right for this band that they have to get rid of her soon...but with that latest performance I'll be surprised if she lands in the bottom three this week. I don't think viewers necessarily vote for who they think is right for the band but rather who gave good performances. I have always thought she was entertaining, in a gimmicky way, but last night she really showed her range and her true style and talent. I think she knows she's not right for SuperNova but she's going to use this exposure for all she can get to make a name for herself...and her style of music...and will probably succeed...especially with the popularity of latin music/culture.

I think the band has a top group already that they won't eliminate...For sure Magni and Dilana will stay. Toby, Ryan and Lukas won't be eliminated just yet...but are defineately under consideration. Patrice, Zayra and Storm are going to be eliminated when any one of them are in the bottom 3. To bad too because I really like Storm.

Of my top 2 picks...I think either Magni or Dilana could successfuly front the band...both are very charasmatic, talented and confident...depends what direction the band wants to go in. Dilana just seems to be the right fit. Magni seems like a good (but perhaps safe) fit as well and I wonder if his family (baby) status would be a detriment to his chances...he doesn't have a wild rocker image they may want...and the travelling without family could be an issue(?).

Of Toby, Ryan and Lukas...Toby is just so friggin hot that anything he does is gold...but my impression is that his level of development is not on par with some of the others...but he's my #3 pick. Ryan is just to theatrical and intense...he can go anytime and I won't care. Lukas just bugs me...even though he can sing and perform...I think it's the hair, make-up and shiny jackets...and I question if his punk look his right for SuperNova...can't see him standing in front of three middle aged (very loosely said) rockers (...one of these things is not like the others...one of these things doesn't belong...(sorry I digressed there)). And what's with Lukas' spastic stage moves...Storm did the same thing last night...I was cringing.

I gotta say though...I'm lovin this show.

I agree with the members about Ryan...he has Improved his performance every week!:=D: He needs to smile more but I like him!

Watch webisode 7 on Rockstar site http://rockstar.msn.com/Default.aspx to see Toby...unfortuneately they still block out his butt :cry: ...LOL. The webisodes are not a repeat of the show...they are more like a reality type show with a lot more in-house activity and conversations. Usually about 1/2 hour or so to watch...watch it in full screen mode. (I'm such a reality show junkie! !oops! )

I felt so bad for Storm...she tried so hard with that song and agonized a lot over it...I mean come on! what can they expect with that song! :eek:

I can't read this post as I'm sure the show is shown in the US before the UK so you lot would spoil it for me. All I wanted to say was that Dilanna is my favourite as she seems to be able to make any song work for her wether it's Johnny Cash or Cyndi Lauper. My only concern after watching the behind the scenes programme last night is that her songwriting abilities definately don't match her performance abilities.

I also like Storm Large but can't believe Zayara is still there (she can't sing!).

Did you watch Zayara sing her own song last night. You are so wrong...the girl can belt it out. She was fantastic!!!!!!!!!!

After tonight's elimination show, I just have to ask "Why are Lukas, Ryan and Patrice still there?"

One of them should have gone instead of Zayra,if they are truly basing the judging on last night's performances.Granted, she's not right for Supernova, but still has more talent that any of those 3. And I really don't see any of those 3 fronting the band either.

Now, let's talk about how cool Dilana was. She was on with Supernova and you didn't even notice the guys. It was all about her.Even when the strippers came out and started grinding, she still OWNED the stage. The song wasn't great and you could tell she wasn't thrilled with the strippers, but the woman is a total pro and didn't let it slow her down at all. She is the one, or at least should be. I think at this point that Magni is her only real competition.
 
Thank god Zayra is gone...I have to disagree with some of you on this, but she is not a great rock and roll singer. She just isn't a rock and roll singer, more pop or whatever you would call it.
 
Zayra DOES sing rock...just not the kind that SN would ever do. She's been a bad choice, but consistently entertaining since the beginning. I'm glad she had a chance to showcase her talent and her original song before leaving, but keeping her around made me question the band's sincerity in actually, well, becoming a band. Me, I LOVE 99% of what Dilana has done, am bored by Patrice, creeeped out by Ryan and the Gnome, love looking at Toby, and was impressed by Magni last night. Storm, however, won me over with 'Anything, Anything', which caused me to check out her old stufff, and she is GOOD! Hated seeing her in the bottom five last night, but I REALLY wanted to see what she would perform without the constaints of music being selected for the contestants. Each time the songs are posted she's the only one who knows each and every one, and how they are supposed to sound. I still think Dilana's a better fit for SN, but Storm had better be around till at least the final three.

...and I agree with most of what you said in your post...love Storm as well and would like to see her make it to top 4...but I doubt it will happen.
 
I thought Ryan desreved the encore and Is still a contender,
Dilana singing with Supernova.....It was good but; and my husband agrees, we really like her better when she Is singing songs that aren't "rock." Like when she did Cyndi Lauper and Johnny Cash. I'm just wondering If she would be better as a solo artists? Granted she demanded the stage and is phenomenal but maybe too much of a presence and would make the other 3 band members just "background?"

Zayra....this woman grew on me every week and the show won't be the same but once again.....not right for the band!

Magni.....when he got teary eyed singing the lines "I don't belong here" from "Creep" it made me wonder If he was referring to being in the bottom 3 or just being away from his family??? Maybe too much of a family man?

I predict Patrice will go next week!

And Dave....does he have an aversion with buttons, snaps, zippers???????

He's like the rock star version of Matthew McConaughey......we get It. ....you have nice pecs but wear a shirt for once!!!:rolleyes:
 
Yeah what was that when Tommy and Dave took their shirts off, but then said that the censors made them put it back on.

Also, I remember watching Rock Star INXS and some of the performers would take their shirts off...we need Toby to take his off.
 
I wouldn't mind if she went home. Ever since the beginning it has felt that she has just been there, not impressed me or anything . . . but just . . .there. Weird.
