Indeed. I couldn't hardly watch, I was so embarrassed for her. I was hoping that it would be a surprise hit. But it was a total flop and bore fest. And the shameless advertising in one of the musical numbers was a disgrace. This Rosie variety show is a tragedy. LMAO!!!!

Rosie was on Tyra (she is on today also) and Tyra said (paraphrasing) "its been reported that you have donated up to $100 million dollars"
Rosie didnt correct Tyra. Rosie donates as 'anonymous'
If true I think that is great and it seems like something Rosie would do.[/QUOTE
DO THE MATH. Rosie would need to HAVE $100Million before she could donate it. and she never had ANYTHING CLOSE TO THAT. get serious dude.![]()

I decided to take you up on your task. I did some research came across an article in New York magazine "...in last May’s TV movie Riding the Bus With My Sister; on Broadway, in Fiddler on the Roof, this past winter—but for the most part, she has been conspicuously off the radar. This from someone who had, over two decades, churned out a memoir, a monthly magazine, two books, three Broadway shows, two Christmas albums, and top-grossing movies—A League of Their Own, Sleepless in Seattle, and The Flintstones—three years running. In 2000, O’Donnell hosted the Grammys and the Tonys; she racked up six Emmys for her talk show, for which she was paid more than $25 million a year. Her net worth at the time was estimated at over $100 million." So in 2000 it says her net worth was over $100 million. Plus she turned down a $30 million dollar 3 year contract with ABC to continue at the view. Finally I've seen her house from a boat in Biscayne Bay, and this woman is living large. If she was investing any of that money through the stock runups prior to this past September she could easily of quadrupled that in investments alone if she had a good broker. All I'm saying is that it isn't inconcievable she could have donated that much.
a lot of people donate to charity for tax write-off benefits. It doesn't make them better people, or caring people. Just saying...
Rosie has always been about publicity, and trying to get people to sympathize with her. I remember when the news were all talking about her messed up childhood. Who hasn't had a messed up childhood, get over it.
