Sandals with socks - tacky or cute?

Should never wear socks and sandals in my opinion. I find it looks very tacky.

I didn't think people did that anymore. Or maybe it is a regional thing. I remember it seemed cool to do back in the days and when I was in n. Cali. I really don't recall seeing it anywhere else and nor have I seen it in a while.

i think it's ok ... but just wear longer socks --- like knee highs --- nobody will notice

Basically, in this thread, the only people who think it's okay to wear socks w/ sandals, are those who do it.

Oh, and me, and my grandfather really does look adorable w/ them on.

I've never understood what is supposedly wrong with this. I always wear socks and sandals. Otherwise the sandals wear blisters

Then isn't the lesson here to get better sandals? The only time I accept socks with sandals in when you're breaking in a new pair of Burks for that first week. Other than that, what's the point?
