Sanders campaign loses $150 Million Dollars if we fold to DNC politics

No you're just jealous because I got to participate.

:D

Texas has an open primary. Maybe you need to move down here.

I'm glad you participated - I didn't know gays were allowed to vote in Texas ;)

I don't think an open primary makes sense - otherwise why have parties

I actually don't mind open primaries so much - except of course when poking someone else with sticks just 'cause.

When we go to vote, we have to go in the back alley, and they have special "booths" - the lever is on the other side of the hole... until you wiggle your finger at it...

It was designed by republicans of course.

Well one can't argue with that, literally.

But there is no right to do so, and for very good reasons that make the US the only country to mostly publicize nominations. Parties are not public associations. They are not constitutional or even legal functions of government.

A nomination is a proposal. We, Democrats, propose that this person be president or we, Republicans, propose this person. There is no right for anybody to tell them what to do. They have a right to association and determine their own values. Voter choice in November will determine whether that was a wise choice or not.

Now as we have seen, the greatest presidents in history, the founding fathers, Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, FDR, Johnson, all came from smoke filled rooms. What have we gotten since 1976? Mediocrity at best.

The reason? Demagoguery mostly, and that primaries tend to bring out the crazies that politicians are so afraid of and not in a good way. I would argue this has been mostly a force for evil on the GOP side. We can't even get SCOTUS hearings because the moment one senator caves - ooop - primary challenge from the Tea Party. We really don't need that to happen on the Democratic side.

cutting and pasting one line is not very kosher or kool or just or reasonable

and you can puff out your chest about the good of the democratic party but it's clear that the establishment of that party stacked the deck against a candidate who more truly reflected their platform for a variety of reasons

1 - he's not "in the club"
gays have not been "in the club" for a very long time - and I don't mean the democratic club - in ANY club - outsiders

2 - Hillary/Bill are the most powerful Dems in the land - think Frank/Claire
all the black leaders they have in their pockets - all the old time dems in NYC for example - shit show of one hand washes the other - gross really

3 - the status quo is good for the establishment - super delegates, wall st., unions - everybody gets a piece of the action - the 99% get fucked

you can list all your "reasons" but as Redd said to the parole board in Shawshank Redemption

"you go on and stamp your forms Sonny and stop wasting my time because to tell you the truth I don't give a shit"

1. He's not in the club because he's not a Democrat which was HIS choice.

2. Billary ARE the most Powerful Dems, but that doesn't guarantee anything - YES WE CAN!!!

3. The "establishment" "status quo" "Super-Delegates" are all opposed to non-Democrats coming in and hijacking the party. I can't say that bothers me one little bit, THANK GOD for Super-Delegates, just look across the aisle.

All of which you are using to avoid the fact that Bernie is losing in Pledged/Super Delegates AND votes, and always has been, and that's with the "establishment" and everywhere else.

You also always ignore that the Progressive wing of the Democratic Party isn't in the majority, and there are a lot of Democrats who aren't even "Socialists." the majority actually. Bernie doesn't represent them at all, and never will.

some of your finest material ..|

i may repeat it w/o giving you attribution ;)

i hope clinton is a damaged candidate and i hope she loses in november.
Are you sure?

This is probably the most fucked-up statement I've seen here in at least two or three years.

Republicans HATE ALL THE GOOD THINGS ABOUT BEING AMERICAN, and they want this country to be their own Talibangelical paradise, with North Carolina and Mississippi their newest role models.

They seriously want both YOU, and me, DEAD.

YOU WANT THIS????????????????

I think you'll find that commenter's support for Sanders is based on him not being Hillary Clinton.
He doesn't appear to support Sanders' actual stances on things like race, welfare and immigration for starters.

No, his stances on those issues definitely seem more aligned with Benvolio than Bernie.
