Seddique Mateen, what do you think about him?

No one respects ginormous douche-bags, but until they commit crimes, they get to be ginormous douche bags. The right in this country thinks you are a child molester and aren't repentant for your role in that. Have you molested any children?

I personally am far, far more worried about ginormous douche-bags like the Christian right who are actually passing laws in this country. When was the last time you saw an Islamic religious law going through a state-house?

That would be never, and it would be ridiculous to suggest it was happening anywhere in this country, or even close to happening anywhere.

The people trying to fuck us all over in this country are all Christians. Why then are you so outraged by this guy?

Conspiring to commit IS a crime, you can't wait until AFTER 300 are killed to prevent it. Would be terrorists and murderers are apprehended almost daily in North America.

As for laws...

The Michigan Taylor City Council unanimously approved a resolution Tuesday that supports a campaign in support of sharia under the guise of “hate based on religion.” Islamic supremacism as law. Jihadists are conducting a genocide against Christians across the world and US politicians are passing resolutions prohibiting criticism of genocide, gender apartheid, creed apartheid, misogyny and Islamic Jew-hatred. - See more at: http://pamelageller.com/2015/03/mic...ainst-islamophobia.html/#sthash.uZUlAmly.dpuf

We have only you and a bunch of haters and tiny minded bigots saying he "conspired" which in this context has a legal definition, so really if you have any real evidence of this - which you don't - the tiny minded never do, you should by all means go give it to the police.

What's wrong with you, we can't go arrest him.

I find it amusing when the haters use the haters as proof.

WTF are you talking about? I didn't mention names, just stated a fact to correct your wrong. Conspiring to commit murder/terrorism/prostitution is a crime.

I get the impression the guy is an internet and cable TV idiot.
Not the only one.

To clarify...I do NOT think he conspired to commit the crime his son did...in any way.

Taking responsibility for your role and your child's actions and seeing the part you played in whatever it is can be seen in Prayers for Bobby. It is simple really.....

Hell....30 years ago I was telling everyone I knew that we are all responsible for the number of black men who are incarcerated or on Death Row (and not even guilty as we later found out) because whenever we do or say anything that is racist we are part of the problem. This is how I think. I irritate a lot of people...I don't care. It is what I believe with every fiber of my being.

The only thing you've done is show your ass. If you have proof of a crime, get yourself to the cops.

That is completely different than convicting someone of a specific crime with no evidence beyond bigotry.

The question gets asked so often, WAS THERE SOMETHING THAT COULD HAVE BEEN DONE to prevent this?

Yes, there was...his son could have been rounded up and put into a thoughtcrime concentration camp, along with the many other millions of people who show signs of behaviours which have been known to lead to mass murders.

The hordes of millions of people who, by and large, would have never gone on to do anything of this sort. But we can't be TOO cautious, can we?

The fact is, if preemptive action is taken to prevent the next 26 mass murders or terrorist attacks, it only works if the dragnet scoops up millions and millions of other people. This cannot be done without utter destruction of everything "we" cherish about being "American."

Maybe the kind of megalomanic controls that only a certain presidential candidate could like (and no, Evanrick, I don't mean Clinton).
Better round my ass up too. I'm guilty of 'thoughtcrime'. Would never in 20 lifetimes act on it.

You guys are pathetic...this is Islam, pure and simple.

I have a question...let's see who can answer it.

In what countries can you be put to death by the powers that be for being homosexual?
Try being gay in Uganda after American Evangelicals were done. They did there what they couldn't do here. And it's 'christians' in Uganda doing it.

Seddique Mateen is on record on his radio show supporting the Taliban. Also Mateen condemned his son's actions but he has stated that homosexuality deserves punishment. Just not by vigilantes but by the state.
Read the 1st Amendment of the United States Constitution. "Free speech". He has the right to spout what ever he wants to. Just as the KKK can do. Just as the 'patriot movement' can. Free speech.

It is absolutely his right....as it is absolutely my right to say that his ideology contributed to his son's actions....

They all thought they had evidence....but when you are racist and don't see the person as an individual....you are easy to own by any prosecutor who understands that...and since his job is to "win"...there is no moral compass.

In the end...when other human beings in this "free" country are imprisoned for crimes they didn't commit...we all have a part in it unless we were one of the people demanding justice. The BLM movement should never have had to happen because they have always mattered and not enough people gave a shit....and I think we are all partly responsible for the atmosphere and the system that allowed this to happen...

..and it isn't because Americans are apathetic. When OJ was found innocent..ahhh..the outrage. Suddenly people cared about injustice and it was obvious that America doesn't like "injustice"...or...uh....ummm...one can draw other conclusions;)....easily...
