Seriously, George Santos deserves his own thread

If Kevin keeps on the way he's going, there won't be a Kevin to need Kitara.

If he goes ahead and pushes Toad's silly un-impeachment vote and wins, he's going to lose the House. He'll probably lose the House anyway the way things are shaping up. If he doesn't push the un-impeachment clown show, or worse loses the vote, the horde will come for him.

Anyway, Kitara is going to end up convicted.

The horde may let heterosexuals rape women, but they won't let messy queens fondle the pageboys.

oops. I meant Daddy Deep Pockets. And maybe that is McCarthy if he still has any sway or swag at all.

Tick Tock.

A group of New York Republicans passed on punishing George Santos once. Some of them say they won’t do it again.

House Democrats are planning to force a censure vote within the next two weeks on the New York GOP’s biggest political liability. It’ll come roughly two months after their last attempt to discipline the indicted Republican on the floor, which resulted in a dayslong scramble by Speaker Kevin McCarthy to convince his frustrated bloc of New Yorkers not to vote with Democrats to end Santos’ congressional career.

This time, Democrats will push a less severe vote — a censure, instead of a full-on expulsion. And at least six Republicans told POLITICO they would support the measure if it comes to the House floor for a vote: Reps. Nick Lalota, Marc Molinaro, Anthony D’Esposito, Nick Langworthy and Mike Lawler, all New Yorkers, as well as Ohio’s Max Miller. All six Republicans have already called on Santos to resign as he faces a litany of federal charges.

Poor George has stress-induced alopecia:

I haven't seen 2023 numbers but this is what McCarthy took in during the 2022 cycle:

And remember this was part of the Faustian bargains around McCarthy getting his picture hung in the gallery of Speakers' paintings:

Hmmm... looks like DOJ is starting to work on flipping Santos' underlings.

The aide, Samuel Miele, impersonated Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s chief of staff in fund-raising appeals and was charged with wire fraud and identity theft.

A campaign aide to Representative George Santos who impersonated Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s former chief of staff was charged with wire fraud and identity theft in a federal indictment unsealed on Wednesday.

Federal prosecutors said the aide, Samuel Miele, was behind “fraudulent fund-raising” emails and phone calls that were sent and made to more than a dozen potential campaign contributors.

In his solicitations, Mr. Miele, 27, claimed to be a “high-ranking aide to a member of the House with leadership responsibilities,” the indictment said. When Mr. Miele successfully obtained campaign contributions, he received a 15 percent commission.

He was arraigned on Wednesday morning in federal court in Brooklyn and pleaded not guilty, according to John Marzulli, a spokesman for the U.S. attorney’s office in the Eastern District of New York. He was released on $150,000 bond.

They all gravitate to one another, don't they?

The worst part is that so many of us have known or had to deal with the consequences of these small time grifters and sociopaths. And as long as they keep their crimey ways focused on stealing the money from widows and orphans, they can largely be ignored because they almost invariably get caught.

The Rubicon always seems to be politics. They are smart enough to see how stupid people are and to use their 'power' and persuasiveness to up the ante...always again because in their imagination it provides them with full immunity.

I am fascinated with how quiet Chiquita Revanche has gone these weeks. Somehow, the McCarthy machine seems to have muzzled this queen. I am wondering if they found out by checking it out with his old tricks.

They had to do something, there is no place for an actual, unrepentant, shamelessly lying Drag Queen in Toad's court.

I guess when he went to law school, he paid attention to that lecture about "When you are under indictment, STFU because anything you can and will be used against you in a court of law". Or was that something he learned when he starred on "Law and Order"? 🤔

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY – A 13-count indictment was unsealed today in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York charging George Anthony Devolder Santos, better known as “George Santos,” a United States Congressman representing the Third District of New York, with seven counts of wire fraud, three counts of money laundering, one count of theft of public funds, and two counts of making materially false statements to the House of Representatives.
The indictment was returned yesterday under seal by a federal grand jury sitting in Central Islip, New York. Santos was arrested this morning and will be arraigned this afternoon before U.S. Magistrate Judge Arlene R. Lindsay at the federal courthouse in Central Islip, New York.

George made it to Page Six with rumors about his chit-chat at a Manhattan party. I find it hard to believe that he was invited to a Manhattan party, but stranger things have happened.

An insider told us: “George said, ‘I’ve lost 92 pounds on Ozempic over the last eight months,” and that his pharmacist beau had expressed concerns about the medication, but that Santos said he’d “lost nearly 100 pounds” thanks to help from the drug...

When one attendee at the party joked to Santos that he might take on his dreaded Beltway rival Sen. Mitt Romney in a “cage match” — the way that tetchy tech moguls Musk and Zuckerberg have playfully proposed — our source said that Santos quipped, “I’d do that, but it wouldn’t be fair as I’m Brazilian, and I’d beat his butt because I studied jiu-jitsu for five years.”

:ROFLMAO: They got to be making this up for laughs....

Does that fall under Congress's health care plan?
Like many of these drugs, the manufacturer markets it under 2 different brand names. Ozempic is prescribed for diabetes management and is covered under health insurance. Wegovy is for weight loss and has strict requirements for coverage.

Both Ozempic and Wegovy are semaglutide for injection. The cost is about $1,000 per injection.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you spokesmodel for the House Republicans, George Devolder Kitara Ravache Rep George Santos.

Federal prosecutors on Tuesday filed a significant array of additional charges against Representative George Santos of New York, accusing him of new criminal schemes, including stealing the identities and credit card details of donors to his campaign.

The new accusations were made in a 23-count superseding indictment that laid out how Mr. Santos had charged his donors’ credit cards “repeatedly, without their authorization,” distributing the money to his and other candidates’ campaigns and to his own bank account.

The new indictment filed in the Eastern District of New York added 10 charges against Mr. Santos: conspiracy to commit offenses against the United States, wire fraud, aggravated identity theft, access device fraud, false statements to the Federal Election Commission and falsifying records to obstruct the commission.
