It is all so amateurish.

One of the legal experts who reviewed the superceding indictment made a comment that the allegation in Santos' indictment aren't the usual complicated campaign finance violations. Instead, it's more fraud and theft.

Now that they've hit him with wire fraud charges and his treasurer has flipped, either Santos makes a deal or it's likely that he's off to Federal prison.

There's hints in the indictment. It looks like the treasurer was faking the books and lying on the campaign disclosure forms.

Here's what the indictment seems to imply:

• There were no big loans. In order to make his campaign look more successful, Santos showed big money loans to his campaign that were completely fictitious.
• Santos also showed donations from family members that were fictitious. The relatives never loaned him any money.
• Santos would collect credit card numbers from donors who made a single donation. He then drafted their card repeatedly. In one case, he charged nearly $60K from a single donor. A portion of the money would then be transferred from the campaign to Santos' personal accounts.
• Santos would skim money from the campaign accounts by submitting expense reports that had amounts that were $1 less than the amount which would require a receipt.

No wonder Santos sold himself as a Trumper. He was using the same grift tactics to enrich himself. The "campaign" was just a front for his scam.

His finance woman basically admitted he was a big fraud from the beginning. I can't remember all of it, but there was also shady business going on with the RNC fund for candidates.

That woman also worked for other 'Pubs. One wonders where she earned to play this game.

Kitara it turns out is just a fraud who lied for the stupidest possible reason, to claim to be richer than she was.

Cauthorn was a puerile toddler man, but at least I understand his closet. Kitara isn't the first compulsively lying queen I've come across, but she probably is the most venal and corrupt.

Not that I begged for the opportunity, but I have had to deal with toxic messes like Kitara at the periphery of my friends' lives long ago in the past.

If there is one reason I was relieved to leave the social maelstrom of Toronto all those years ago...this might be it.

Someone should start a Sarah Palin Memorial Sentence Diagramming Competition. These "word salad" sentences that have become popular with Republican comms staffers would provide lots of examples to use for the competition.

That someone who is a fraudster and who has been indicted for multiple campaign finance felonies still has the title of "Member of Congress"?

On the other hand, it is progress that an LGBT person isn't being attacked for his sexual orientation; he's being attacked because he's a deplorable human being.

This is the problem...the reps are chasing the press. The 'press' are chasing the reps.

Everything has this surreal semi-scripted reality TV vibe to it.

And drama queenz like Kitarra are going to melt down.

Since the 2008 election, the permission to be deplorable assholes in public seems to have exponentially expanded until today it is really just a huge black hole that will suck everyone into the vortex.

And the horde is still enjoying this freedom...still convinced the JFK Jr. and Trump will defeat the Soros Lizard people and Hillary to free them to lynch everyone they hate.
