Seriously, George Santos deserves his own thread

I say we make her dream of being a pass-around prison party b**** happen as soon as possible! I suspect she'll be much happier with three square meals a day and a pole in each end.

:rotflmao:

This is when happens when an irrational, ridiculous, messy Queen tries to butch it up.

Gay Rep. George Santos (R-NY), a former drag queen who lied about being Jewish, is apparently angry about a drag nun group that, according to him, mocks the Catholic faith. In a June 7 tweet, Santos wrote, “I don’t usually swear but… The ‘Drag nuns’ can F**K ALL THE WAY OFF! The mockery they cast on the Catholic faith is DAMN offensive and WRONG!”...

Oh Kitara, we all know those aren't the men in dresses you're pining after.

It's sad and silly that she thinks anyone is going to take her seriously.

She should at least know that the proper form is 'damned' not 'damn'.

And it isn't.

Wonder if he's ever damned pedophile priests.
George considers that a future employment opportunity. He would have already been one but for his Jew-ishness being an impediment to ordination.

Excuse me but she is already Popess Kitara the Fabulous.

The thing that is most inconceivable is that most Repubs won't vote to censure.

I guess somewhere under all of it the just get Kitara. Let's face it, they've all been shameless liars since Jan. 7

The NY maps that gave a bunch of House seats to Republicans were just reversed and the maps that favor Dems will be reinstated.

My bet is that a bunch of those NY House Republicans who are now in "swing districts" are sharpening their stilettos.

The maps that favor Dems will be reinstated? I thought that the order was (yet again) to draw new maps ...

If I recall the chain of events, a bipartisan commission failed to draw up maps for 2022. The NY Legislature eventually put in maps that favored Democrats downstate. Those were thrown out by a judge and a "neutral expert" drew new maps that favored Republicans and those were used for the 2022 elections where the two Maloneys lost their seats, one in the primary and the second in a loss to a Republican.

Now the Appeals court has thrown out the "neutral expert" maps and sent it back to the same bipartisan commission that drew up the maps that favored Democrats. Since the commission failed to draw up maps for 2022, I won't be surprised if the bipartisan commission can't get the work done again and NY goes back to the 2022 maps the Legislature created in the last effort.

The bottom line: the Appeals court said that if the Republicans and Democrats on the commission can't play nice with each other (as if!), then the Legislature has the right to draw up their own maps... putting a stamp of validity on gerrymandering.

Ah, so you meant that

The NY maps that gave a bunch of House seats to Republicans were just reversed and the maps that favor Dems will probably be reinstated.

I took your "the maps that favor Dems will be reinstated" to mean that the judge's order reinstated the legislature's maps, which wasn't how I recalled the order being reported.

If I were a betting man, I would bet that the Democratic legislature is just gonna pull out the 2022 maps and say, "These".

It is an interesting ruling. On one hand, it confirms the judiciary's history of saying "gerrymandering is just alright with me". On the other hand, it suggests that "neutral parties" and unelected officials drawing maps less likely, which means that gerrymandering by State legislatures is going to be hard to overcome.

You can count George's donations from his own district on one hand without using the thumb and pinkie:

Only three residents of Representative George Santos’s Long Island, New York district have donated to the freshman Republican since the beginning of the year, filings with the Federal Election Commission show.

And in the whole of New York State, only about 25 people have donated to Mr Santos, according to filings sent in for the first and second quarters, ending on 15 April and 15 July.

The overwhelming majority of the more than $6,000 coming from district residents were donated by one individual.

One would think that he would take the hint.

Why should he. The leader of his party has gotten away with chicanery, mendacity, rape, two separate impeachable offenses and sedition... so far.

I am thinking though, that unless he can get Daddy Depp-Pockets to come up with another million in dark money, the hint will hit him over the head when the bills can't be paid.

McCarthy seems to think that his job is to sell patronage favors in exchange for votes from his caucus. That's why the Freedumb Caucus who bartered their way onto the appropriations committee is busy defunding anything LGBT or women's health related from funding bills.

If McCarthy needs Santos' vote, he'll fund Santos' re-election campaign.
