Shoe thrown at Bush!! hilarious!

Maybe the guy was a plant so that Bush could show off his dodging skills and "generosity."

Hmm....

You may be on to something, there...

Those 'ducks' looked awfully staged.

I dunno, you can drive yourself nuts trying to figure it all out....

Bush does appear to have surprisingly quick reflexes. And I'm sure that "reporter" has been given his comeuppance, by the Iraqi authorities.

Hmmm. He's still our president as others have said. Some of these comments I frankly find frightening and sad.

our president is already frightening and sad

KUDOS to that reporter, if the Congress had those kind of balls..."W" & his cronies would have been IMPEACHED by now for their crimes :grrr:

I completely agree! One should respect whomever holds the office, regardless of personal opinions.

It's not a personal opinion.

Your president fucked with our lives. The rest of the world is reeling from the mistakes your president made during his term.

Bush will not get an ounce of respect.

Should have been an anvil instead of a shoe.

Hilarious. Well done, shoe-thrower.

If you want a Democratic example, I suggest that perhaps shoes should be tossed at that idiot in Illinois who was trying to sell Obama's senate seat; any takers?

Well, yeah, but better to throw a book...THE book...at him.

He's gonna do time. If Bush were going to, I'd probably stop deriding him and just eat a nice big slice of schadenfreude pie.

I despise Bush, but here's the thing, you just don't go around throwing things people. Ever. That's assault and battery. There are plenty of devices to deal w/ politicians and political issues if ya dislike the leadership or what's going on. Of course, we have the right to criticize our leaders, and it's not like we don't have plenty of avenues at our fingertips. You can protest, get the media involv., oust the politician during the next election, form interest groups, and the like. What if that had been a bullet instead of a shoe.

And, I think King George is an asshole, but let's face it—he was elected. TWICE! He's what the American people wanted, and he's what they got. His political style and policies didn't miraculously change from his first term to his second. So what's the fuss about? Clearly someone thought he was doing a good job. We have to take responsibility for our decisions.

By the way, am I the only one who's pissed that an Iraqi threw the shoes? The Iraqi people want our help, then they don't, then they do, then they don't. Regardless, I'll be damned if I'm going to laugh when a non-American attacks my President.

Were the secret service folks jerking off in the bathroom? On a smoke break? Taking a nap? WTF?

Holy shit!! I gotta admit, he had some good reflexes. :=D: My only question is where in the hell was his security? That second shoe shouldn't have made it. They were probably to busy laughing at Bush, ha. (!)

Someone on a blog I read wondered if there's a way to send this Iraqi journalist a note of appreciation...then speculated it probably should be a get-well-soon card at this point.

And you know, that was a pretty slow throw, by a guy who wasn't trying to hit him, just insult him. Dodging it wouldn't take much.
