Attention Signs you're getting old.

Turntables? I bought a DUAL 1264 turntable for about $330. Ortofon cartridge. Back in '79 or '80. My Mom had a fit that I spent that much. Hey Mom, I expect it to last 10 years so it's less than a dollar a week.

It still works like the day I bought it. I've had it long enough it works out to 14¢ a week.

When I replaced the stylus in my Ortofon cartridge last year, it was $352! :bartshock

When you realize that the June 1939 issue, Action Comics #1, which is the first appearance of Superman; and, sold at the local newsstand for 10 cents, recently sold for $ 6,000,000  There are only about 100 left; and the one that sold was rated at an 8.5 out of 10 on condition :=D:

You mean that considering all that some sort of an American past glory, instead of a sign of decadence, is what makes you realize you are getting truly old and doddering.

^ KITT if it was real. One of the mustangs otherwise.

The stolen Lykan reminds me of a toy car I had as a kid... and the Thunderbird has a terrible colour.

Since I don't and won't and am not allowed to drive, streamlining is all I can judge.

The pictures are so small and I don't know the show some are from, but I have always liked Plymouths, so I would say Tommy's Plymouth.

The death of Queen Elizabeth.

And gardening this weekend.

When this area wasn't so built up a by-pass was constructed through farmland separating two villages, with a footbridge across the road. In the last decade or so the whole area has been covered in new houses. There is now a pedestrian crossing at ground level so the bridge is no longer needed, but sometimes I use it anyway for old times' sake. From the middle there's a good view across the rooftoops. When I used to cross the bridge on my way to the shops as a child I never thought that one day I'd stand there and say to myself, "I remember when all this was just fields".

Sputnik AND the Moon Landing.

I also remember standing in my back yard staring up at the sky watching for the missiles flying overhead toward the US during the Cold War,
