I think the fantasy started after she left Chris' mother at the bottom of the stairwell - I think she went back into the flat and found him dead, and that's why there was that strange initial reaction. Then her imagination cooked up that last night with him, and ran away to NY when it was forced to face up to the reality that he really was dead.
 
i like how Maxxie isn't portrayed as a stereotypical gay. He's good looking (not wierd looking like most gays on TV), he dresses same as everyone else, he has straight friends, and he's not a complete slut always trying to get with the other guys.

Its great, finally shows how alot of gay people actually are, that is far from the stereotype (no matter how accurate that stereotype is).

My fave scene, chav girls and maxxie, starts at 30seconds in this vid LOL:
 
Wow gazzaX2! Piece all that together in the all of 75 minutes of screen time Maxxie has had in the entire two series?

I don't mean to mock you at all, I respect your opinion. I just feel like we don't actually know if any of that is true about Maxxie because we don't see him enough to know if it is. Notice how out of all the characters, the gay one had the least amount of screen time, the least amount of lines, the least amount of depth, and when he finally got something it was a ridiculous RIDICULOUS stalker story.

Yeah Maxxie dresses normal compared to his friends who all dress insanely cartoony and comical. No one dresses like that all the time like they do.

He has straight friends and conveniently enough, no gay friends. Can't a gay guy have a gay friend or two?

And for all we know Maxxie just might be a complete slut. We don't see him enough to know what he does in his down time.

Again, I'm not trying to attack you. I'm more or less displeased with the writers. Why include the character at all if you aren't going to do anything worthwhile with him?
 
One of the problems with the Maxxie story is that he basically disappeared for like 3 or 4 episodes and then turns up again and he has a boyfriend. It was a case of "Hang on a minute..!"

Total waste of a character.
 
Wow just finished watching the last episode, and wow did I cry a lot especially where Tony and Sid say good bye:cry:. I guess that for series three Effy will take over I kind of like her I think she is a bit dark and twisted, one thing that is bothering me is why not give a "real" ending to Sid and Cassie:grrr:. But it sure was a great episode to bad we wont get to see what happens next:cry:.

P.S. I feel really bad for Sketch he left her there just like that, and how funny when out of nowhere they start playing Girls Aloud and Britney Spears I never thought I would ever heard them on Skins.

:=D:What a great finish! I didn't expect the finale to be that good, but wow. They really covered all the bases.

I'm so sad that this is probably the last we'll see of these characters. Unless they come back for Christmas or something during one of next years episodes.

I wish that there was now a spin-off about Maxxie, Anwar and Maxxie's boyfriend living in London.

I still can't believe its over. :cry::cry::cry:

But I'm still eagerly anticipating the third series. Even though I'm nervous about a new cast, who knows what kind of characters will be featured! I can't wait!

And I loved how they left it open ended with Sid and Cassie.
 
That was a really sad episode. I can't believe the've all left. I nearly shed a tear when Maxxie, James and Anwar were getting onto the bus !oops!. And then Tony and Sid saying goodbye :(.

I really hope they do some special one off episodes to catch up with them all and see what they are doing.

I'm sure they will come up with some great characters for series 3 but I really liked the current cast :( (*cough* Maxxie).
 
Skins Is Amazing, Its Just Killing Me How They Have Left Season 2. Poor Chris ... Dead :( He Was So Hot As Well ... I Dont See Why They Killed Him Off. He Was One Of The LARGE Main Characters. Poor Jal, Up The Duff With Chris's Baby All On Her Own ... Silly Anwar Who Got A EEU For His A'Level Results Then Runs Away To London With Maxxie And Leaves The Stalker Girl Behind. Maxxie, Superhot ... WOW Hes Amazing, Its Just Stupid That There All Going So Far Away. CASSIE My Fav Out Of Them All. Shes So Special I Would Marry Her, Except She Runs Away A Lot ... SID Everyone Thinks Hes Attractive, I Just Dont See It.
 
Guess Cassie really was in New York. I won't speak on the absurdity of that. Love the little open ending with her and Sid.

The funeral was so well done. That was such a great way to end that storyline and say goodbye to Chris.

Maxxie. Sometimes we saw him, no we won't. Ever again. Because he ran off to London. I agree with the idea of giving him Anwar and James a spinoff. How interesting would that be?

I like Effy but I'd much rather have a completely new cast of characters in a new town and setting.

Great ending. Sad it's all over.
