I'm really bored, so I decided to show you boys how I slow roast plum tomatoes on my wood fired Big Green Egg....
I went to the farm market and bought a bunch of vine ripened plum tomatoes, cut them in half, drizzled olive oil and some salt and pepper.
I lit the egg using all natural hardwood charcoal and let the oven get to about 500 degrees f.
The egg comes with a sort of flame tamer that allows me to cook using indirect heat. I put that in place.
Next step get the oven down to about 300 degrees f and put the tomatoes on for a long two or three hours....
