The problem with blanket statements, as everyone knows, is that we tar everyone with the same brush when we do that.
There are lots of promiscuous people in the world, both gay and straight, but there are many, many gay guys looking for something more than that. Some have gotten tired of the casual sex life while others never entered into it because it never interested them.

Refuji, you have gotten to know lots of us here at JUB and you know we don't fall into the group you are condemning. Instead of focusing on the negative in the gay community (whatever the fuck that is), why not look toward those who share your values?
The minute you meet someone or talk to someone or read something someone wrote that validates your negative views, why not just reject them and look elsewhere? We are out there, man. I promise.
 
Refuji, I just read your post in the Venting thread (#97, I think) which would explain much or your negativity. The question is, what came first? The depression or the focus on all that is wrong in the gay community. It's time to walk away from the ugliness you are reading about and the negative people you are talking to. Don't feed your fragile soul and spirit with such poison. Focus on what is good and the people in your life who are good, for the time being. I worry about you.

That post you are referring to has nothing to do with the gay community or this. I certainly am not depressed because of what some gay dudes want to do. I'm talking about other things that are very personal which I don't feel like sharing.
