So, anyone care about the Oscars?

I was pulling for Lee Daniels but it was a long shot, how good it would have been the first gay black director to win an Oscar. He will get his chance again. He is brilliant!.
 
Now, I understand why Sandra Bullock wins an Oscar :mrgreen::lol2:

Couldn't agree with you more! Film plays a very important role in society; not only does art (film) imitate life - as in The Blind Side - but life imitates art - as in Julie & Julia (which was terrific by the way!).

I watch the show every year. Sometimes it's boring as hell; sometimes it's predictable as hell (this year); sometimes it's very entertaining.

Michael Jackson's song "Ben" was nominated for best song.. not to mention he was the most popular entertainer of all time..

so even if he wasnt an actor he had a good reason to be mentioned, Bea and Farrah still deserved recognition, but no more than MJ deserved his.
