Soccer World Cup 2010

I only saw Australia-Ghana's match. Watched it with my Aussie cousin, he was really upset by the red card, since he said the hand wasn't intentional...

Anyway, I was impressed by Australia's second half, since they could have won the match with 10 players. I was disappointed with Ghana this time, but they'll probably make it to the next round

Match Prediction Brazil VS Ivory Coast World Cup 2010 South Africa. Here is a prediction score of the match Brazil VS Ivory Coast World Cup 2010 South Africa. The match will be held at Soccer City Stadium, Johannesburg, South Africa. Below is an approximate composition of each team.

Estimated Brazil: Julio Cesar, Maicon, Lucio, Juan, Michel Bastos, Gilberto Silva, Felipe Melo, Elano, Kaka Robinho, Luis Fabiano

Estimate: Barry, Demel, K. Toure, Zokora, tiene; Y. Toure, Eboue, Tiote; Gervinho, Drogba, Kalou.

Ivory Coast captain Didier Drogba will return to the composition of the major players having previously only occupied the chair back up and played briefly in the opening match against Portugal ended a draw. Brazil likely will not change the composition of his players after defeating North Korea in their opening match.

Prediction score predictions this time for the match Brazil vs Ivory Coast is 0-1

This has been such a depressing campaign for the Aussies. We're trailing every other team in Group D and we're -4 insofar as goals are concerned.

And two damned red cards.

Sad. Very very sad.

hmmmm.....

Brazil didn't play up to their full potential against North Korea, mostly due to some lack of coordination between their attackers.

Dunga says Brazil will concentrate on defense during this Cup.

I will say it will be Brazil 2 - 1 Ivory Coast.

Yes, the "red card" seems to be thrown around quite a bit in these games. And the replays showed with extraordinary clarity that there was no intention.

I would have been much more pleased by an Australian win of 2:0, or 3:0, but this is better than a lose.

Of course, on Wednesday, Ghana must fall before a powerfully victorious German team! And they must fall heavily. If there are more bloodied noses, maybe even broken bones from a footbal smashing into somebody that gets between the German team and the net, so be it.:jasun::didisay:

w0w! What a surprise from New Zealand!

A great effort and a great match by the kiwis! :=D:

Full time

Italy 1 - 1 New Zealand

^Great result and a really engaging and watchable match.

Is it too much to hope the Ivory Coast can dismantle Brazil in half an hour's time?

A beautiful header by Didier Drogba got past a helpless looking Julio Cesar.

And then the Beautiful Game turned somewhat ugly. :(

Seemed to be a contest of who could perform the most unbelievable flop.

Kaká didn't deserve the red card for the incident for which it was given, but he certainly was an instigator and was needling and taunting the Ivorian players. His angelic face (Who? Me??) won't be seen with Brazil for a while.

Blame the referee for letting things getting out of hand. He should have started giving yellow cards for simulation. I've heard that Brazil fans were wanting "more art, less assassin." They got their "art" in the form of theatrics.

Oh wow.

It's a prison rape here in Cape Town. Portugal 4-0 DPR Korea with 25 minutes still to play.

Guess the Ivory Coast are on their way home after all...

Portugal 7 - 0 DPRK (North Korea)

Chile 1 - 0 Switzerland

Spain 2 - 0 Honduras

I feel really bad for the North Korean team, for several reasons.

Firstly, because they are from North Korea, the "Workers' Paradise" where food is rationed to something like (if I remember correctly) 2 medium bowls of rice per day and ¼ pound ~100 milligrams of meat and 2 eggs per week.

Secondly, because every time they leave their "Workers' Paradise," they get a glimpse of what the rest of the world is really like. But when they get home, they can't say a word about it to anyone.

I feel only slightly bad about the 7 - 0 score line, because no one "back home" in DPRK will ever know about it. I'm sure the story in the sports section of the Pyongyang Times will read "Glorious heroic DPRK finishes second, Portugal finishes next to last!"
