Re: Star Wars: Episode Vll

Luke Skywalker saying "The force is strong in my family. My father has it. I have it. My sister has it. You have that power too."
I guess Anakin/Vader is still alive

Luke was basically just reiterating the original line from episode VI. Some say it is the actual same movie dialogue copied from that, and changed around (he says "You have it too" last rather than first). Heck, it might only be for this teaser and not actually said in episode VII. I seriously doubt Vader is going to be made as still alive or resurrected. I think that would upset alot of people; I just don't think Abrams would go that route. It seems cheap.

Re: Star Wars: Episode Vll

He might get a flashback sequence I reckon.

They've got to try and pop him in somewhere. Star Wars without vader is odd

Re: Star Wars: Episode Vll

Man, the new trailer is awesome! I can't wait for the new episode!

As for the line of Luke, where he says "my father has it..." - as far as I rememeber, it's indeed the line from the episode 6, so I don't think that Vader will appear in the new movie... On the other hand - who knows?:-)

Re: Star Wars: Episode Vll

Okay... I am officially more excited then I was before for this movie.

Was that Luke? I'm not sure. To be honest I thought it might be Finn, John boyega's character. Maybe it doesn't even relate to vader? (Or maybe vader was a bit of a player and there's literally children everywhere from him)

Yeah, I believe it was Luke - Mark Hamill confirmed he recorded the lines a while ago.

I have to say, I wasn't all that bothered about the new Star Wars film until I saw this new trailer. Now, I'm wishing the months away.

Re: Star Wars: Episode Vll

I don't know, disneys been pretty hot lately and let's be honest, it's not like they could be worse than the last trilogy

Josh Trank sets the story straight on why he left 'Star Wars'

When Josh Trank announced May 1 that he was dropping out of a planned “Star Wars” spinoff film less than a year after being brought on to direct, it didn’t take a Jedi master to intuit that the news would cause a major disturbance in the Force.

But speaking publicly about his departure from the project for the first time, Trank – the director of 2012's sci-fi sleeper hit “Chronicle” and the upcoming “Fantastic Four” reboot – says he wasn’t prepared for just how nasty things would get.

“At first I was like, ‘I’m just not going to say anything because it will blow over,’” Trank told The Times last week in an interview for an upcoming Hero Complex magazine cover story on “Fantastic Four.” “But I was shocked – it just hasn’t blown over. People get so excited to raise their pitchforks.

There is so much hype for this movie. Everywhere I turn there is merchandising. I hope it doesn't ruin the brand.
