STAR WAR THREADS MERGED HERE (*May contain spoilers!*)

Re: Star Wars: Episode Vll

I loved it alot and it was a fun ride. It never bored me and the time flew. But. . . also I was disappointed in a few things. Yes it is a very polarizing movie. First trilogy fan service galore. But I think perhaps a bit too much of it and as a result it lacked originality in the story, sometimes painfully so. Still highly recommended and mostly satisfying and worth the wait.

Michael Sam upsets some Star Wars fans.

Former NFL player Michael Sam is causing waves on Twitter – after tweeting a humongous spoiler for the new Star Wars film.

The footballer still knows how to generate controversy, however – taking to Twitter after viewing new film Star Wars: The Force Awakens, to leak one of the main plot twists.

His tweet is blurred below, to avoid the wrath of sci fi fans.

He's been looking for more attention and here he is at it again. #-o As if he didn't Tweet that on purpose.

Re: Michael Sam upsets some Star Wars fans.

My rule of thumb on this type of high profile movie is don't talk about it until the Sunday or the week after opening weekend. Just say if I like it or not.

When you talk about it, you never know if you'll let slip something that turns out to be a major plot twist.

Re: Michael Sam upsets some Star Wars fans.

Glenn Rhee is alive! Glenn Rhee is alive! Glenn Rhee is alive! Hes alive I tell ya!!!

Never mind,wrong thread....

Re: Michael Sam upsets some Star Wars fans.

Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker's father.

Re: Star Wars: Episode Vll

Saw it last night and many times through out the film i felt like it was an Episode iv re-do....but since i'm usually alone in these kind of things

You are not alone in feeling that way.

Much like Star Trek Into The Darkness was a partial re-make of Wrath of Khan in this one JJ Abrams just took a lot of favorite scenes and made a slightly changed version of it.

It was fun and I enjoyed it - but it was somewhat of a let down in the originality department.

Re: Michael Sam upsets some Star Wars fans.

I cannot get angry with this guy. He is just sooooooo cute. I love stocky guys with brown eyes and short black hair. And he has the most beautiful nose I've ever seen.

Re: Michael Sam upsets some Star Wars fans.

He's still s dumbass.

Re: Michael Sam upsets some Star Wars fans.

We just saw it.

My lips are sealed.

I'm so glad that they kept everything to close to their chest and that there haven't been spoilers.

About Snoke in Star Wars.... no spoilers PLEASE!

Like I said in the title, please no spoilers.

I've heard people's theory that the Supreme Leader Snoke in the new Star Wars movie is actually Darth Plagueis.

Last night, as soon as I saw him on the screen, in my mind I was saying to myself "oh yeah, that's totally Darth Plagueis."

What do you think?

Re: Michael Sam upsets some Star Wars fans.

Is this really news? A lot of people posted spoilers all over the internet just because of the reaction it got from Star Wars fans. He may or may not have done it on purpose, but some people did... then they sat back and laughed as Star Wars fans pelted them with angry comments and death threats!
The hype was so bad that I would have been ecstatic if I didn't hear about Star Wars for 5 fucking minutes. Now that the movie is out, no one will shut up about the fucker. I hoped the movie was bad just out of spite... bad enough for the fans to be disappointed, but not so bad that they wouldn't shut up about it.
If the movie was either really good, or really bad, you'd never hear the end of it. I'm only interested in people shutting up about Star Wars for one millisecond.

Re: Michael Sam upsets some Star Wars fans.

I think the whole franchise is over rated and way over hyped.

Re: About Snoke in Star Wars.... no spoilers PLEASE!

I didn't know he was a character in the new movie until now, thanks.

Re: About Snoke in Star Wars.... no spoilers PLEASE!

Haven't seen it yet, i'll wait til i can see it for free.

Huh? They have been broadcasting this new character for the last 3 months. They've even released the various artist concepts of this character. People have been talking about the possibility that this character could be Darth Plagueis for months.

To me, spoiler means telling about a plot twist, like how Darth Vader turned out to have been Luke's father.

A new character that's been talked about for months is not spoiler.

I don't approve of death threats at all.

Though I am not going to sit and pretend that most of the spoiling isn't done maliciously. And it does matter because it is about being considerate to others who want to see the movie who didn't see it yet. The fact that people get some enjoyment out of making someone else feel bad, even if it is a spoiler to a movie, is sick to me.

Re: About Snoke in Star Wars.... no spoilers PLEASE!

Then why didn't you post this in the star wars thread months ago? Seems odd to bring it up now. I have stayed away from any news on it and watched a couple of trailers and didn't know who he was at all.
