Stranger Slaps Screaming Child In Georgia Wal-Mart

well you can rest assured that that kid ain't gunna be screaming in public anymore!

Might even be traumatic for the kid...

i hate screamy kids!

Does he also do barking dogs?

I have a few in the neighborhood I'd like to shut up.

I have been watching this thread all day and wanted to develop an opinion.

I do NOT approve of the action, but certainly understand the level of frustration.

Situations like these (the screeching kids that are unstopped) are why I now shop at odd hours when I can. And a reason that I really, really, really never want to work Retail again.

I have been known to abandon my cart/buggy FULL OF STUFF and just leave the store and go elsewhere. And after asking my Partner about this, so has he.

My Neighbor has a 16 month old son and she frequently must go shopping without her Husband as he works out of town and is gone for days at a time. I applaud her solution; she has now called me on at least two occasions and asked me to run to the store for her because the Baby is extremely fussy and she CAN'T take him out.

I have purchased for my Neighbor feminine products and diapers (among a few other things) and would be happy to do so again. Why can't other Moms come up with a reasonable solution?
Because other moms don't usually have that option. They could have hostile neighbors, not know their neighbors. The majority of women are working mothers with no help or support or their husbands are just as busy are just too lazy. So they have to bring the kid to the store. If she had left her child at home by itself and something happened, we would be condemning her.

Well...some would be praising the death of the child in this thread.

Don't you know that if this has been videotaped or caught on the store security camera,
it would be one of the most viewed videos on YouTube right now?

Given all the poor parenting in this country, I wish we had more people like that guy, who simply takes matters into his own hands if the parent isn't going to do the job themself.

This guy deserves a medal, if anything.

WHAT???? What that guy did was unconscionable. I hope the judge throws the book at the jerk. He obviously can't control himself and should undergo medical treatment.

And to anyone who defends him, what would you do if some stranger decided to discipline your pet?

i'm really disappointed with some of the responses here. apparently some of you have never had to deal with children. two year olds do not scream and cry because they are spoiled. some are but for the most part the child is responding naturally to any number of things. a wet diaper, illness...

as to what that stranger did? if that were my child that stranger would either be dead or be carried out on a stretcher. because there is a difference between spanking a child and attacking a child. what he did was the latter.

For all you tough guys saying you would beat this guy if he did that to "your" child, here's a simple solution, one that the mother should have followed as well: it's called a fucking PACIFIER!!! Or don't go out in public when your baby is screaming, because it's annoying as hell! Just because you are narcissistic or fucking straight enough to reproduce doesn't mean the rest of us should have to endure the sounds of your little vermin.

Where's your pacifier?

It was in Walmart, not a restaurant, library or church or something. Since when do you go to Walmart for the peace an quiet. Not that anyone has the right to smack another person's kid anywhere else either.

I was at a nice restaurant for brunch and there was a screaming kid (much older than 2 also) a few tables over. I complained to the waiter and shortly after a manager came over to talk to the parents, offered some juice and a few minutes later, the dad took the kid outside. That's how an adult handles a situation like that. A fucking lunatic gets up and smacks a kid.

And who's the spoiled one? The kid (who is only 2, for christ's sake) or the adult whose Walmart shopping experience was disturbed by a little crying? I think it's the deranged psycho that needs to be smacked around.

It is the parents that needs a slap, not the child/baby. Why slap a child that is crying? He/she may be hungry, have a wet daiper or be tired as hell from being dragged around a mall all day.

Hope this sad old f#cker gets a stiff penalty!

old senile motherfucker

doesn't matter how loud any person's kid is screaming, it's simply horrible judgement on your part to hit them. if he's stupid enough to think he can get away with something like this he's obviously off the deep end.

Irrelevent.....it still comes back to bad behaviour and poor parenting. ](*,)

Are you on crack-cocaine? Since when does a 2 year old crying = bad behavior AND bad parenting?

You're clearly pulling "facts" out of your bussy so if I were you I'd spectate to avoid FURTHER making yourself look like an uneducated fool.

I had no idea the world was full of so many pretentious jerks. I'll see your ](*,) and raise you a

If the guy touched a kid under my care--for whatever reason...he would not be able to walk out of that store under his own power, most likely he would be staying a few days in the hospital.

Are you guys fucking kidding me??? A stranger thinks he can walk up and strike a child and it's fucking cool???

I don't see the harm in a small slap, some of those noisy, spoilt little fuckers need to be taught a lesson!

When I was younger, a slap was nothing!

This man should be given an award for carrying out a much needed public service!

Edit: Of course this depends on the circumstances, I don't condone violence to just ANY child...
