Street Art not funded by local residents is Vandalism [SPLIT]

So you admit to it being fantasy in the same sentence. As implied these people clearly did not call it art.
There have been incidents in which silly chavs have called it art before.

Sure maybe in your opinion some of that street art looks like dog shit, but how do you think people get there start?
Would this be funded by the local comunity or permitted by the council? If not then they have no right to practice their craft in our communities.

Hmmmm - I like street art - there are too many places in the world that are drab and dull.
I think bad architects and town planners can make places miserable and machine-like.
Likewise I think neglect makes places seem hostile to people and prone to crime.

I think of street art as being something made by people who care about a place and want to improve it for others. Vandalism by contrast seeks to ruin things without care.

This piece of decadent nonsense likes to call itself "Public Art"

Mate I think you will find they are actually coming out against drugs with this - "The piece is intended to draw attention to Hollywood’s hidden problem of drug addiction that effects [sic] hundreds of people in the showbiz industry and is largely ignored until the death of a high profile A list celebrity," photographer Nick Stern, who works with Plastic Jesus, offered up in a statement on behalf of Plastic Jesus.

...Sure maybe in your opinion some of that street art looks like dog shit, but how do you think people get there start? Do they create wonderful works of art right from the get go? Have you yourself taken the time to learn a craft or some form of art?...

You can do it in private.

It looks pretty plain and crappy with very little effort gone into it. I don't see what's good about it myaelf.

They both look hideous and I wouldn't want to look out my front window and see pic 1 across the road on the wall or on amy building.

Out of curiosity how do you feel about tattoos? I loved that Elephant/Octopus picture.

^ I've heard some call it body art.

This woman, Katie Hopkins expresses her views on bodyart.

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that's a sarcastic backhanded remark...

The comments from the woman in the video above aren't sarcasm they were honesty. I will have to agree with her too.

Oh my bad the vid didn't show up when I first read it! I didn't get a tattoo because of a celebrity, I have a great dislike of celebrities...
I have two tattoos. I have them no further down than my bicep. The only reason is because I know some prick is going to judge me based on what I decide to do to my body. Whomever this KAtie women is, is a deplorable judgmental human being. I couldn't make it past the first 4 minutes. It's petty judgments like this that make being gay difficult...

Tattoos aren't the problem our stupid celebrity obsessed culture that's the problem clearly.

I love Banksy we have one of his down the street protected from everyone and fantastic!

I wish you'd stop rolling your eyes. A lot of tattoos are vandalism to me and a whole lot of other people. If it doesn't work on buildings, why does it work on human beings? You don't want to have to look at the elephant on the wall, but I don't want to have to look at a body covered in ugly tattoos.

EDIT: By the way? Why can't graffiti be called 'art' as well? Some people call it 'art'. Why does it work for humans and not for walls? You can't have it both ways.
