Survivor 20: Heroes Vs. Villains [Official Thread]

They've done men vs. women, ethnic groups vs. ethnic groups. What about gay vs. straight? Could it happen? Is America ready?

I could see America buying it if the gay tribe were all women and the straight tribe were all men. :rolleyes:

How about a tribe of four straight people, four bisexuals, four gays and four transexuals? Two of each gender on each tribe. That would have people in protest for sure.

I was thinking they could do like Panama EI with 4 tribes: gay male, lesbian, straight male and straight female. Then after an elimination or two, mix them up. Just an idea to breathe new life into the show.

So that special they aired last night to gear up for HvV was pretty lame. It was just more of Russell bragging about how great he is :rolleyes:, featuring a few segments from the usual people (Rupert, Stephenie, Hatch, Coachebag, Jerri, Colby, Parvati, Elisabitch, Ciriegoddess) and a segment about Ethan's cancer.

If Heroes VS. Villains is the Russell show all over again, I'm done with Survivor. You can't have twenty former players and focus on this jackass at the expense of everyone else AGAIN.

The Ethan segment was very good. I was glad to see an update on him. So while some of the show was a bit lame, it wasn't a total wash.

I agree. The Ethan segment was actually poignant. So happy for him, a real courageous guy, if you ask me.

I really hope it won't be, but if that special is any indication it will probably be the Russell vs. Rupert show. :rolleyes:
 
I love how the special declared that Russell was the best Survivor villain ever. It's as if Johnny Fairplay and his dead grandmother lie have been erased from the books of history or something. Actually that's probably why Sandra magically has become a villainess, since she was the heroine against him.

There was so much wrong with that special, but Hatch shooting down Russell was awesome (I so wish he could have been on this season), and the Jenna/Ethan segment and dedication to Jenn at the end were good.
 
Get bent Tyson. Coach is still a loser and Colby's "masculinity" is perfectly intact. My god, that man is STILL the hottest guy there, ten years later! Colby has managed to age gracefully and if anything I find him even more attractive now than I did on Season Two.

I think it's a testament to Cirie's awesomeness than she has manipulated and played the perfect "villain" game in two seasons and even the show still considers her a "hero." LOL. Talk about a good social game.

Finally, how the fuck is Candace a hero??
 
UGH!!! Russell is already getting too much airtime and too much, "I am the aweomenest ever" voice-overs. This is really just gonna be the Russell Show Season Two isn't it? :rolleyes:
 
Sugar's winning the reward challenge topless was too awesome. I loved her flipping off Sandra when she won too. I have a bad feeling about Stephanie's shoulder. She's so pretty and kind. I want her to do well.

It was painful to watch Sugar strike out with Colby. She tried so hard and latched onto him like a lonely puppy. But Colby as we all know just ain't into the girls. Poor girl should have known better.

Lol. i'm not saying Colby is gay, i dont know if he is. But it is baffling to me how a guy like that, who would seem to make an amazing husband/father is still single. Maybe he's asexual. Either way as much as I love Sugar, I'm afraid he's outta her league if he is straight and has a libido.

I'm sure this isnt popular opinion but I dont mind Coach. I never have. I'm hoping for a Jerri/Coach homance. Jerri is so ridiculous. I want her to stick around though. She is somewhat entertaining She's kinda like Beth from the Real World challenges. They both act like such a drag queen acting like she's the wicked witch.

Tyson I still cannot stand. And I'm tired of his nasty little dick dangling speedos already.
 
I really enjoyed the premiere, even with the ten minute Russell segment. Everyone got screen time. I fear for Cirie I love her, but I would honestly be surprised if she makes it to the merge she has a big target on her back.

They should make all pre merge episodes two hours long, we got to enjoy the characters, we saw strategy, and challenges and it did not seem rushed or crammed like it usually does with the one hour show.
 
I really enjoyed the first episode tonight. The 2 hours went by so quick though, going back to 1 hour shows seems like a really stupid idea. They have plenty of material to show.

I watch every season but I'm interested in this season mostly for Tom. I just can't help but find him unbelievably handsome and sexy. He has put on a little weight but he looks just as good to me.
