I agree I do think he is sexist, you could tell he couldn't stand the idea of women controlling the game.
 
So Russell has been hanging out in my hometown a lot lately with survivor alum Boo. Last night Russell was arrested downtown because he pushed a young female and the patroling police witnessed it. Im waiting for the mugshot to be posted so I can share with everyone. He was taken to Lafayette Parish Jail if you want to look for it. :-({|=:-({|=:-({|=

Parvati giving Sandra the idol makes sense in that they wanted to keep the Villains' numbers; if the Heroes targeted Sandra and she went home, it becomes much easier for the Villains to be pagonged.

However, it's also rumored that Sandra and Parvati had a secret alliance, which would actually be in their best interests as former winners, especially with mega goat Russell under Parvati's thumb, but the edit is manipulating things to be Sandra vs. Russell and, by extension, Parvati. I didn't really buy the theory until I saw Sandra's voting confessional for last night's episode:

"Sandra (votes JT): JT, instead of you wanting me and Parvati on your side, you decided you want Parvati out first and me second. Therefore you need to go home tonight. Adios."

Why would Sandra care about Parvati, especially when her whole strategy is "as long as it's not me"? And she also conveniently neglected Parvati in her confessional two weeks ago when taking about how much she hated Russell, Danielle, Jerri and Coach. So I kind of believe the Sandra/Parvati hidden alliance rumor, and it explains why Parvati gave Sandra the idol last night.
 
One thing I don't understand. When Amanda first "warned" Parvati that the Heroes were voting for her, Parvati said, "And they have Russell too" obviously playing along with the Russell vs Women's Alliance narrative that JT had written in his mind. However, Parvati then told Amanda that she had her own idol which...would contradict that story altogether.

Think about it. The story was that Russell played JT's idol and Parvati played hers so Courtney went home. If Parvati still had her idol -- as she willingly told Amanda -- then she could not have played it at the last TC, and therefore Russell was lying and never tried to vote her out.

I'm not sure why Parvati would do that (did she just slip up?) since it doesn't seem to benefit her. And I'm not sure why the Heroes didn't pick up on that and realize that Russell was definitely lying to them.

LMAO! You beat me to it. He was probably all, "You caaaan't arrest Russell Haaaantz!" And if the arresting cop was female, she probably rolled her eyes and called him a troll behind his back.
 
My favorite line of the night was when Sandra came out of the water and gave Rupert the skinny on her Tribe's dynamics in her delicious accent:

FORT has an interview with Courtney where she says that Russell and Parvati were originally in the Rob alliance, and she specifies the four girls -- Sandra, Parvati, Courtney and Danielle -- being together. That might have been when Sandra and Parvati formed something.

The best part is when Courtney explains (in a way that only Courtney can) how that alliance fell apart:

"So Rob is going bananas, because he’s like, oh my God, we need a friggin’ house. What are you doing, help me! You can lift things, get over here! And Tyson and Coach were off scheming in the bushes on how to get rid of Parvati, and Russell was off looking for his Lucky Charms." :rotflmao:

Courtney also says that the reason people go along with Russell is because nobody likes him, so he's the best person to take to the finals, and they all know it. Which is awesome. And it's pretty much what I thought Natalie/Mitch/Jaison were doing last season also.

I think some here are a bit too overly suspicious. While I do agree producers and Jeff may tug at some strings, I don't think these type of situations are staged or scripted. I've been watching Survivor since day 1 and nothing has been any more staged than the likes of the classic rat and snake speech by Susan in the Season 1 finale.

I see your "overly suspicious" point but the "coincidences" that have occurred this season are just too convenient (read: how "miraculous" that these coincidences make for good reality TV). They includes chickens appearing out of nowhere, Tyson having a convenient brain fart, JT having pen and paper all of sudden, Parvati having a shovel handy.

Oh re: the Colby-Russell conversation while the challenge is in progress, it was just hard to believe that a camera spontaneously caught all of that. Even the way they said their lines seemed scripted.

Not trying to ruin anyone's enjoyment. I'm a die-hard fan too, watched every season, recall the majority of the players. I just don't hold Survivor to a diff. standard. It's simply doing what the other reality shows do: intervening and staging.

Let's not forget that this is a television show being produced. Of course there are always many cameras around, and microphones put into key locations on each location set and planning involved. Otherwise, how else would we all have been able to enjoy this show for 20 seasons? I'm not saying everything we see is always pure spontaneity. But I think the production team is organized enough where they are able to capture moments such as the Colby, Russell chat. They were on floating platforms which were key spots for the challenge, so it makes sense that cameras and microphones would be on those spots. If I'm not mistaken, sometime players are even wearing mics. They could have been easily stashed in Colby's bandanna around his neck, or one of Russell's necklaces, or simply planted near them on the platforms.

I will give you the chickens, but I don't think they were to benefit anyone in particular, just kind of there to appease the all stars who might have big egos. Tyson is an idiot and it has been known since his first season, the pen and paper came from Amanda's luxury item when the Heroes won the challenge, and the shovel came from one of the rewards the villains won, I think it was the Sears reward.

As far as Russell and Colby, I'm sure they have many cameras in different areas to catch the action from different angles, so it's not to out there to believe that it would catch a conversation between Russell and Colby, it has caught conversations between people who weren't even taking part in the challenge before.

I think your conspiracy theories are kind of ridiculous.

It may have been the defining moment of the season but what if - Amanda had been telling her the truth and they voted her ass out? What guarantee did she have that she was not the target? Are there more than one little bird in the background whistling sweet secrets to this villianess and her troll?

Amanda is a TERRIBLE liar and Parvati should know that better than anybody after playing with her throughout Micronesia. Even in the segment between the two in the last episode, Amanda wasn't convincing at all. "Play the idol......................................... for you! *doe eyes* Just play it! My head hurts! I'm confused! Just play the idol, okay? *pageant smile*"

And Colby, in all his wisdom at Tribal Council, did pull a Stacy Kimball from Fiji in that he basically warned the person with the idol(s) in advance what the opposition was going to do.
 
Yeah I think there are some suspicious incidents this season and last season, but Parvati giving her idols to Jerri and Sandra is not one of them. I agree with Joesman that it's a very risky move -- too risky, and one I wouldn't have taken myself -- but it's pretty clear that Amanda has a terrible poker face, and Parvati was able to read her.

I mean "My head hurts???" My god. No wonder that bimbo lost twice.
 
Parvati has a huge target on her back now. I don't know how she can sustain her dominance unless they go strictly by numbers until the Heroes are depleted. But I think Russell will be able to convince the others to ally with him and go against Parvati. After all, who would you rather go up against for the million dollar vote? Russell or Parvati? Russell has the same stigma (he doesn't hide it well) as the previous season, which hurts his odds of the jury handing him the money.
 
Parvati may have a target on her back, but I think she is safe. The villains will take out all the heroes first. Parvati is controlling Russell, she has Danielle on her side, she might have Sandra and Jerri after her move to give them the HII's.

There is also a rumor that Sandra and Parvati have a secret alliance, since they are both winners they have been looking out for each other. Randy said in post game interviews that Sandra was protecting Parvati when they wanted to vote her out first, then in the Coach boot episode when Sandra was naming everyone she hated on her tribe she named everyone but Courtney (obvious) and Parvati. Also in her voting confessional when Sandra voted JT out she said something along the lines of since he didn't want to work with her and Parvati she has to vote him out. I'm assuming Sandra and Parvati wanted an all winners alliance to go to the final three and have a better chance of winning again.
 
The thing is - I like the way Pavarti plays Survivor but sometimes it just seems too dramatically laid out, as in handing out 2 immunity idols. As with Samoa, the idols have once again become the major playing point. They seem to be one for every Russell instance and now Pavarti. And look how Russell handed Pavarti at tribal when he thought they were going for her. So Pavarti out bested Russell with idols and I can be happy about that but I am not totally seeing that he was blindsided. He didn't look heavily surprised by her 2 idol move.

Jeff has been a big mouth and has obvious favorites. He even slides a blade into someone or praises their abilities as he did with Russell during Samoa, and then at the gimme finale, which Russell lost! Say amen somebody - and I hope that happens this time. I would just like a little less manipulation from the sidelines and I am more than convinced that is happening.

Other than that it is more entertaining that Samoa which was so heavy handied Russell's show.
