Survivor 21: Nicaragua

NaOnka continues to impress me with her inability to do anything with any degree of subtlety whatsoever. She could very well be the worst player this game has ever had. Also Marty's not as good as I had hoped but he succeeded in removing JJ so I'm cool with him. He needs to ditch Jill though she annoys me.

I liked Tyrone seems like a bright enought guy. Too bad I only met him this episode. Guess that means he doesn't go very far. Becky was forced into the episode again despite not really doign anything. I really think she may win. Good for her. She seems nice enough. I'm not getting as much shirtless hotness as the premier indicated to me that's a little disappointing.

Who is Becky?

If feel like Naonka has caught Pandorum or jungle madness. there's no way she can behave like this in her normal life. Imagine if she was your gym teacher. All my gym teachers were short lesbians that looked like Ellen, and that's how I like 'em.

Tyrone could still go far. Natalie, the winner from Russell's initial season, was hardly ever in the first several episodes. Jill is a mess.

Get NAonka OUT OF THIS GAME !!!!

I was almost ready to stop watching the episode when she was talking. Thats the first time in 21 seasons someone annoys me that much.

She's dumber than fabio, and yeah like falcon said she could easily be the worst player ever.

There's way too much "Us young 5 alliance" in the episodes meaning I don't think it'll last long.

At this point even if I dont like all of em I still think
- Tyrone
- Brenda
- Benry
- Jill
- Marty

are gonna go far.
And yeah I'd bet a F3 with Jill, Brenda & Benry with benry winning.

ahahaha

I so wish for Kelly to find the idol and kick out Nay oh my god that'd be P.E.R.F.E.C.T

Benry and chase are hot tho

RIght now I like Yve's attitude, Jill's crazyness...and Benry
thats about it... there's not so many likeable characters IMO

I have a feeling Brenda (perhaps that's who falconfan meant) will find the idol and go far. I think Marty might go out pre-merge because even though he's smart, he's not very good at being under the radar.

Well Brenda did find the idol but Nay snatched it up. Another dr with her ranting about Kelly's leg. I don't get this woman at all.

The show was a downer, kind of. The older tribe groused and rumbled and got rid of Mr. know-it-all or Mr. Give-me-a-chance-to-prove-myself. Good move/bad move -from the coming attracts it looks like an early merge.

Probst tried his best to get Dan evicted.

And the night went to Marty, Dan, Nay and Brenda with Mr. Big-in-the-mouth shooting himself in Mr. foot. Mostly everyone else pretty much didn't get a camera shot. I'm thinking Chase will eventually say something to Nay about the idol since he can't keep secrets, and maybe Brenda can't either.

I'm glad Jimmy T is gone. I don't get this whole group finding of the idol thing though.

I dunno, this was probably the weakest episode so far.

Na'onka is slowly morphing into the black female version of Russell, the OTTN force who dominates the screentime and is a total idiot at playing the game. Surely the show is trying to portray her in the worst light possible because her enemy is the chick with one leg, but she's giving them plenty of ammunition to include in their construction of the episodes. Plus, really, the promos hyping this episode up as "Hurricane Na'onka"? She wasn't even as bad in this episode as the last two!

And Marty's basically doing the same camera hogging on La Flor. His only saving grace is being a DILF, and the fact that all of the older tribe members have been shown for two weeks in a row thanks to consecutive tribal councils. Whereas half of the people on the younger tribe didn't even speak this week.

Though I actually enjoyed Alina in this episode. Her defense of Kelly Bruno was nice and her confessionals about Kelly and Na'onka were a change from her usual sour-puss face.

I'm guessing next week is just going to be a tribal swap, as it's been awhile since we've had one (Gabon was the last one... well, actually two... wasn't it?) and 16 is way too early to have a merge.

slip, Marty is indeed a DILF.

I thought Espada got trounced badly by La Flor. I'm glad they are merging because the old tribe needed it.

I thought they totally overhyped Na'onka on this episode badly.

ok Na'onka annoys me...hope she is embarrassing her family now as they watch..and hope she is burying her heard too..but I hear that she quits the game in a few more episodes.........yeah!

but this is seriously a horrible setup old vs young.....its pitiful...

this season is so boring to me right now....I used to hate to miss one episode, but so far I don't care if I miss one....hopefully with next weeks tribe mixup, the game picks up....zzzzzzzzz

mikeb6452, if what you heard is true, you should mark it as a spoiler.

Well another week of watching the old people. They barely focused on the younger tribe, except for the bitch Nay. I hope next week that they start focusing on other people, I couldn't even tell you their names if you paid me a million dollars.

I cut the editors some slack in that regard - they'll ALWAYS have to show the tribe that goes to Tribal Council more in an episode, and the younger tribe has only had to do that once so far. In the second episode, when the younger tribe had to go to Tribal Council, all ten people were featured, just like how all of the people on the older tribe have been featured when they've had to vote somebody out.

Unlike with Samoa last year, we know more people from La Flor than we knew from Galu, which basically only had delusional Shambo shoved in our face as our only break from Russell 24/7. Na'onka is the main attraction on the younger tribe to the editors, but her storyline includes more than just her -- it includes her main ally Brenda, who includes Chase by extension, and her main enemies Alina, Kelly B. and Jud. That's more than half the tribe, and they're fleshed out considerably more than "Russell's dumb alliance mate #2."

The only character who has been completely ignored so far on either tribe is Kelly Shinn and... really, ignoring a young girl on the tribe with less screentime is about par for Survivor's course. Though, Benry and Sash have surprisingly low visibility for attractive young men on this show, which is a reason why I eliminate both as predicted winners. Again, it makes me wonder why this show insists on casting twenty people. They don't have enough time to feature that many consistently and cutting out four pieces of fodder would have meant that everybody could have been featured, at least based on the editing of the first four episodes of this season.

I really don't like this old vs young setup.

Couldn't they've just done a regular season?

Naonka is a horrible and unpleasant person (her rivalries with Kelly and Fabio have amounted to her hating and being a bitch to them on the spot, with them not doing anything to her), she's right up there with Russell and that means everyone should be trying to take her to the end. Maybe Brenda realizes that? Either way, I don't think Brenda should have told Chase about the idol just yet. She was in between two good allies and could have kept that secret until absolutely necessary. If Chase blabs it to anyone else and Naonka gets wind of it, she's exactly the kind of volatile bitch who would hold that against Brenda, game chances be damned.

SO glad Jimmy T is gone.

Thus far I like Brenda, Marty and Tyrone, and I could maybe like Chase and Jill.

Already a shake-up coming next week (I hate how spoilerific Survivor previews have become). Looks like old vs. young is already over. Well that is a pointless experiment.

Well things are looking great for Brenda. It seems people can't help but want to form alliances with her. I am so happy they're shuffling tribes because these challenges SUCK. Also this greatly increases NaOnka's odds of getting the boot increase exponentially.

I think Marty's play was decent but if he were smarter he could have controlled and used Jimmy T. But he was annoying enough that I don't mind.
