Survivor 21: Nicaragua

Well if we're supposed to believe the editing, Jud is the one who wanted Jane out in the first place because he's the one who encouraged Chase to turn on her.

Jane's vote for Sash is most WTF part of last night's Tribal for me. She flatout said to vote Hoho because the other two have idols and then she turns around and ignores her own strategy.

Also, I don't see "loathesome jerk" in Chase's edit at all. "Wishy washy nice guy," sure, but he's not Russell or anything.

Ahh, missyae from Sucks (a.k.a., the guy who has posted dead-on spoilers for Nicaragua, HvV and Samoa) explained Jane's vote for Sash:

Jane accused Sash of offering to pay off her morgage in exchange for her vote and influence with the jury on his behalf. When she said this Jeff ordered the cameras to stop rolling and called in the producers. They discussed this for about 10 minutes and resumed filming without giving any instructions to the jury or the remaining players. In other words they left it as a 'he said, she said' situation. If you watch the insider clips on the voting you can see where Jane changed all her thought process of trying to force a tie vote with Holly and instead voted for Sash? Why? Well I have just told you.

You can also notice how her voting scene appears to have been edited where they left something out.

His voting confessional refers to this but if you don't have this information, it makes no sense.

missyae says he doesn't have any reason to dislike Sash, so chances are that Jane is just delusional.

Tribal council voting. lol at that being the most anger that Sashbot has shown all season.

Actually missyae says that it could have been the truth, it could have been a misunderstanding, or it could have been a lie. Since Jane hasn't lied about anything to my knowledge, my guess would be either a misunderstanding or the truth. Sash just seems like the kind of guy who would try to slip some extra incentive to vote for him, and especially since he is a real estate broker and it has to do with a mortgage. It was left as an unresolved issue with the players and the jury according to sources. The edits at the voting seem unusually clipped short.

Was it Jane that brought up voting Holly? I thought it was something Jeff started and they kind of agreed, but Jud was going to vote Jane out anyway because he has long been after her.

Yeah, Jeff asked Jane what the other three should do and she said "Vote for Holly because the other two have an idol."

I'm glad Jud won immunity. I hope Chase and Sash go next, but I think that is very unlikely.

Is there a reason why they don't want to take Dan to final 3? I know that would betray alliances, but why would a betrayal really shock anyone at this stage of the game? Is it because of jury votes?

Yeah, Jeff asked Jane what the other three should do and she said "Vote for Holly because the other two have an idol."

I rewatched the show last night on demand and found tribal a little strange. When Jane started her rant with Holly about the shoes there is obviously something else she says that is not there, and then she says "That's all I'm going to say." Then when she casts her vote for Sash and mentions "You can lie---" which seems to be a continuation of what was not shown on tribal, she is cut off. She said a lot more than the stuff she said about Holly.

I read on Survivor Sucks how many times they will shoot certain things because they don't get the right shots for airing. On the luxury trip where they slid down ropes over the jungle it took over 3 hours to film to get the right material. Remember Dan's squeezed together face as he was zooming over the tree tops with his eyes tightly shut? So yeah, there is a lot that happens that we are never shown, and it seems to me this season there have been way too many unexplained moments at tribal, in discussions, and why people changed their vote.

And what we are not supposed to see is the elaborate camp set up close by to camp for the crew and Jeff. I understand it has gotten much more luxurious than ever before, so Survivors are constantly watching these people eat, bath, etc. while they go without. That would be hard to deal with if you are Nay and Kelly.

Yeah, I'm guessing that Jane made her accusation about Sash during the same rant as when she went off on Holly about the shoes.

Unlike a lot of Sucks, I honestly liked Jane all the way up to her boot episode, although the like did diminish with each passing episode of her Jesus edit. But she's STILL being super bitter about getting voted out in her exit interviews (in one of them, she called Holly "a cow" during word association ), so it's disappointing.

I understand why Jud sent home Jane. I think that if she was in the final 3, she would have been a serious contender to win.

I am hoping that Jud wins. Chase has made too many dumb moves/decisions in this game. Sash just annoys me. Dan for obvious reasons is just a floater, and Holly is just a follower. It would be an interesting match up if Jud, Chase, and Sash make it to the final three.

I think a JCS final 3 is the only way that Jud could win. I'm thinking Holly's a lock to win if she gets to the end.

I would have to agree that Holly will win if she makes it to the final 3.

Personality wise, the three standouts of Survivor: Nicaragua are all female: Brenda, Jane, and NaOnka.

Doesn't mean one else is worthy; but for entertainment value, the potential of another invitation for one more all-star edition has a combo of those above-three the most likely.

Na'onka is never coming back for another season. Production HATES quitters, and they made that much clear by giving Na'onka probably the most negative edit in the series' history while at the same time giving K-Shinn the most invisible one.

Production is said to like Brenda, and it's pretty obvious that they like Jane considering she got the Jesus edit despite not being a perfect angel herself. I would bet those two, Hoho, Jud and Marty would all be ASS possibilities.

Hoho <3

It's a good thing that Sucks exists for chops so we can see things like what Holly was thinking after Jane called her a cow.

Fabio annoys me, personally. He's not an asshole or anything, but he does get on my nerves and I'm less excited to see him win out of anybody left. Even Dan would be hilariously random compared to Jud winning and saying "Duuuuude, I won HOOOOW much money?! That's CUHRAZY! But don't forgettttt, I'm smarter than I looook! huhuhuhuh"

I have to admit that I've started to like Holly a lot, probably as much as slip likes her at this point. So sad that a Fabio immunity win could bump her out of the finals.

I'm in the middle about Holly. There's no reason to dislike her, but for some reason I like Jud better. That said, if Jud gets voted off, I would be fine with her winning.

I would like to see him win just because people underestimated him. I don't think he's the smartest guy there, but then I don't think Chase is either.

I also wouldn't mind seeing Dan win for the same reason, but I don't see any reason why they should vote for Dan since he hasn't done all that much in the game in terms of making big moves or being a competition threat.

Chase annoys me because he's so wishy-washy and I don't understand where he's coming from from a gameplay standpoint.

Sash and Chase are the ones who annoy me. Chase slip sliding back and forth and his confessionals are like he was in control of everything except Brenda's pussy.

I like Holly, liked Jane better. I liked her "I don't take any shit from anybody" attitude. Being from N C and a country boy I know a lot of crusty women and men who live away from cities.

I do like Jud and I do think he has played a good game. He saved himself last time with the immunity win - he has won before, he stayed under the radar until this past ep., and he is a likable personality. He is the one who tried to get Shannon to STFU at tribal. Doesn't he use 'man' more than 'dude'? Besides he isn't bad on my eyes either.

I think Chase is an exceptionally handsome man but he has some decision issues and needs to get a little more 'stuff' so he is not such a pushover. But Chase is definitely a man that would have been popular in school, hung with the innies, and dated the prom queen who wouldn't put out.

Dan has not contributed to the game at all.

I think that's why Dan would win in a F3 with Chase and Sash. The jury actively hates Chase, and we've been shown why on the show since a lot of this season's editing is about why Chase loses. And the jury does apparently believe Jane in the unseen he said/she said between Sash and Jane about Sash bribing Jane to pay off her mortgage.

Dan might be inept at challenges and is merely a numbers pawn, but I do think he's actually decently liked among the jury members. He would lose against either Jud or Hoho, but I could see Jud, Marty and Benry all voting for Dan in a Dan/Sash/Chase F3, easily, and Jane clearly hates all three of Sash, Chase and Hoho after last week's episode, so she would probably vote Dan in that scenario too. That's four votes, which is one away from a sure victory, and could still win depending on how the other six would split between Chase and Sash.

I find it harder to gauge where people who were aligned with both Chase AND Sash would vote. Na made an alliance with Sash, but she gave Chase her idol. K-Shinn will likely vote however Brenda wants her to vote, and Brenda doesn't seem to like Chase that much (at least based on what the show has given us).

And then there's Alina, and the show hasn't really built any relationships between her and the final five except Hoho. She's a total wildcard IMO.

So, as it stands right now, I think Jud beats anybody, Hoho beats anybody but Jud, and Dan beats Chase and Sash, who both lose no matter what.

Same thing than slip...

Jud beats anybody, it's a no brainer he wins

I dont get how people complain about how much they hate Chase and love Jud. Chase has pretty much stuck to one side the entire time. He's always been forced into a leadership role whether he has liked it or not. People have always looked to him to make big decisions in the game. It's obvious that he wanted to play an under the radar game but everyone else puts him in the middle of their drama.

Shannon started it on the first day by kinda forcing him into his little woman-hater alliance. He's under a lot of pressure so I can understand him being indecisive at times. Everyone works their little schemes behind his back then pushes him to come forward and be the spokesman.

Jud is just as indecisive. He has never made any power plays or never really persuaded anyone into doing something they didnt want to do. Jud has always just been a vote and a decent competitor. No one has ever looked to him as a leader in the game b/c for most of them game no one had any respect for him. He was completely disregarded for most the game b/c he is a bonehead. That is not strategy. he really is an idiot with a little athleticism. And I'm sorry but I don't want someone to Forrest Gump their way into winning.
