Survivor 22: Redemption Island

Natalie is adorable and oozes rainbows and puppies but lord, the girl is painfully inarticulate.

Well, so far I'm thinking that Rob has Andrea and Grant. Ashley might go for Natalie and Ralph for Phillip.

ETA: Matt seems anti-Rob. Julie, despite her words to Natalie, I could see voting for her anyway. Have no idea about Mike since he's so blandly nice to everyone. Steve is another anti-Phil vote. David is obvious.

David's final plea just made it obvious that Rob wins.

Not sure if I care to watch him masturbating over Rob, Russell, Phil and Matt for an hour now though.

Watching Russell cry during his elimination never gets old. That is the single amazing thing that Matt brought to this season.

Oh, look, it took Russell 0.2 seconds to start being a little bitch.
 
I don't usually post in Survivor much but DAYMN! Grant looks like a hunk in those overalls and that new haircut makes him look really sharp. Woof.

Edit: And Matt did look cute with his haircut too.

I'd love so much if Rob snatched fan favorite from Matt's hands as well. Or even Mike. But ugh, he's an even bigger lock than Jane was.

I do miss the days that they told us the top three vote getters though. It was obvious that Rob/Matt would be the top two; I'd be more interested in knowing who came in third. Probably Mike in this case.

Even though I've watched it, this season has been absolutely terrible. Horrible twist after horrible twist with Rob, Matt and Phil sucking up all of the screentime and little to no development for anybody else. I don't think I could take another season like this and remain a fan.

I mean, I was willing to sit through the rest of the season because I figured that there'd be no way they'd bring back Redemption Island after it's been so actively awful, but now we know otherwise... and that we'll have two more returning castaways, which will all but guarantee a new cast of mindless drones for the returnees to use like Rob did to the Zombietepes. Survivor right now is so far gone from being the amazing social/psychological game show experiment that it used to be.

I had so much hope after Nicaragua too...
 
I know, I know, I shouldn't be watching it if I think it sucks. But I've seen pretty much every other season of Survivor, many of them multiple times, and RI wasn't terrible for the first couple of episodes with Francesqua and Kristina. Once I start watching, I do feel compelled to see it all the way through, and I like reading peoples' reactions on Sucks and on here too, so that helps even if the season sucks.
 
At this point I've been watching Survivor so long that I can't see myself stopping until the show finally dies, so yes, I will watch next season. But I'm still VERY dissatisfied about the direction of the show in terms of twists, casting and editing. I guess the shining light is that eventually, they might axe Redemption Island.
