I was thinking the same thing while watching the show tonight. I guess what really annoys me is that they don't even bother hiding the Idols. You kind of knew that he was going to find the Idol it was just a matter of when. I just wish they would do a season without Idols and Redemption Island or other stupid gimmicks. Just make it simple if your voted out your out and that's it.
 
Good god, can Spencer do ANYTHING right? Even when I'm rooting for his success because his success is by proxy Tasha's, he Charlie Browns it and plays the Idol wrong. It's so hilarious how he's so smug and douchey about everything but all of his plays and predictions turn out being completely wrong every time.
 
There was no way for Spencer to know that that bunch of Tony's assholes are sitting around thinking he has the idol. He had to protect himself and I don't see that as a stupid move. The stupid moves are those people who can't see their own place in line with Tony and Spencer pointed that out to them at tribal. Trish is even looking like a dumb schmuck now because where does she stand to win? And Jefra? What?
 
Even though he needed to play it for Jeremiah, I really can't blame Spencer for playing an idol on himself. But yeah, it's hilarious how he continues to think he's some strategic mastermind, and everyone else is buying that too, even though ALL of his plays have failed. Even last week when LJ was voted out, it was Tony directing that move, not Spencer.

Meanwhile, Trish remains the best player out there in my opinion. Tony is getting all the credit for flashy moves, but Trish successfully saved LJ by gettting rid of her biggest personal threats in Cliff and Lindsy, convinced Kass to flip over to their side which saved Jeffa and gave them the upper hand even though Tony dismissed her ability to do that, and this week she pulled Jeffra right back into the fold when Jeffra had all but jumped ship. Basically she is single-handedly responsible for putting her alliance together, keeping them together, and placing them in the dominant game position. She's also a good read of people (she knew Tony was lying to her last week about LJ and Woo for example). These are all credits that should earn her a win even over Tony, but my worry is that her annoying laugh etc may just make people dislike her, and she may be one of those players whose great skills do not include the ability to articulate those skills properly to a jury.
 
I still have no idea who will win this season. Trish obviously has a lot to her credit as the best player out there from the interactions and confessionals we've seen from her, but the show attributes almost none of her or her alliance's success to her in favor of Tony, which really makes me question her chances. The edit also has not shied away from showing Tony's buffoon moves ("Final five!! Final five!!") or how "diabolical genius" Spencer never accomplishes anything.

Tasha's edit has stagnated for weeks now and Jefra hasn't even had an edit at all. Kass's chances logically are atrocious - everyone hates her post-show, she flipped on her entire alliance, and I've said this before but middle-aged women are probably the demographic least likely to earn success for playing "mean" i.e. strategic and unapologetic. And then there's Woo.

And this is awesome! Every season needs to have editing and a lack of spoilers like this one.
 
Oh and bless Jeremy's simple mind. Half the pictures that come up when you Google "Jeremiah Wood model" aren't even him. LOL
 
To me Cass and Trish and Woo are like Boston Rob's girls. Follow Tony to a win.

I'm thinking the exact same things.

I didnt like Trish in the beginning but she's very good in the game, and she really grew on me !!

It's still very weird this whole special idol thing. Tonyy kinda knew spencer had an idol and that it wasnt the special one. But how does he know that ? I'm very confused on this whole tony-ship. He's nothing special besides having a HUGE ego.

(and by the way the previews featured a lot of "jefra scenes" so I assumed Jefra was going home. Obviously I was wrong)
 
I am with you on questioning how a player like Tony and others of his ilk before him found so many idols. Hantz found so many idols it got to be a joke. Every time one was redistributed he found it and found it quick. That Tony now has found 2 idols, and switched out with LJ on one of them and then we spend almost a whole show of him acting like a complete jackass, building hiding places, running through the forest like a loping idiot and finds another because he knows how they hide them just screams confidential info from a source. But then he is the kind of person Survivor Jeff loves as Jeff loved Hantz. Oddly enough they are the kind of player I detest.

A lot of this does seem suspicious. They told the players about a special idol a few episodes back but yet they've given them NO clues to find it so...are they going to start giving them clues at some point even though it's already been found? And why would they plant the idol there before even giving a clue? I'm not one of those people who thinks production directly cheats on behalf of a contestant. But I do believe they would plant a special idol before giving a clue knowing/hoping that Tony is the kind of player/fan who would look for it even without a clue and find it early.
 
Let's just hope this version of the Super Idol expires when regular idols expire (which I think is final five in non-RI seasons maybe?) and doesn't give Tony a free ticket into the final three like it did for Terry and Yul.

I can't help but think it was more than just a coincidence. Really, what are the chances?

Why can't the producers just let everyone vote the way they want to?
 
Maybe Survivor has producers like AI and The Voice who say they have the right to discard votes and over rule the judges choices and who is evicted. In this same way Survivor could be protecting the character(s) they deem most valuable to the show by secretly giving that person(s) a special hint as to where an idol may be found.

I do not understand how people playing the game can be so blind as to overlook the player most apt to win. And I agree the thrill was sucked right out of this season with that frigging idol, and Tony's grandiose behavior at tribal with pulling a fake out of his bag as if he were going to play it. His bag of tricks.
 
Jeremiah genuinely seems like a nice guy in his interview with Parvati and wow, SO GORGEOUS without all that scruff.

 
As much as I despise Tony and the fact that they have literally sucked, plucked and fucked this particular season into The Tony Show, it was good to see smart ass Cass' face when the vote was read. So how smart are you now? But Tony is in a situation that is either winner or Hantzed.
 
Tasha winning her THIRD immunity in a row was thrilling to watch -- I cheered for her SO HARD when she actually pulled out the win. But as much as I'd love to see her bulldoze her way to the finals by winning every immunity, you can only go to the well so many times, and the moment she loses now, everyone is going to vote her out. I keep wanting her to have more game. Like WHY didn't she bid for that clue?? I know Jeff didn't explicitly say it was an idol clue but COME ON TASHA. Had she bid for it, she and Spencer had a 2/3 chance of pulling the black rock, and had they found the idol, they could've both been immune and chosen to target Woo instead. As much as I like Woo, he's come close to beating Tasha in a few challenges now, and for someone like her who has to win her win the end, she really needs people who can beat her in challenges (like Woo or Tony) to go in order to increase her odds of winning immunity each week. Jeffra going didn't really help her at all.

Also when Tasha and Spencer fooled Tony into thinking the girls had an alliance, all I kept thinking was: why DON'T the girls have an alliance? It would totally make sense for all of them.
 
I would be shocked as hell if Tony actually won. Yes he has a big edit but the biggest edits almost never win, he's actually driving the narrative of the season, and they're not backing down from showing people being annoyed with him. That's kind of why I don't pay him much mind while Spencer and Kass grind my gears much more in comparison.

Gosh I want Tasha to win this season but I'm just not feeling it. I'm always happy when she pulls out another clutch immunity win and she has pulled some moves but as an overall narrative it just feels so hollow and underwhelming because since the merge, Spencer is the one who talks about everything as the voice of his alliance. Trish and Woo have a little bit of that going with Tony which is why this season is starting to frustrate me - it's Tony and Spencer with tiny sprinkles of everyone else for most of the episodes since the merge.
 
I just hope the F2 rumors are true and that all these goddamn idols end at F4 so Tony can lose an immunity challenge, get bumped right before the finals and THEN we have a real game. I'm personally rooting for Tasha, but Trish vs. Woo in the finals would actually be the most unpredictable because they'd both have cases to win (Woo like Fabio and Trish because she's actually played the best out of everyone out there).

If it's Woo, Trish and one of Tony/Spencer/Tasha in the F3, and Woo wins that final immunity...it could happen.

Really the worst thing for Trish right now is that Kass is still in the game and no one seems in a hurry to take her out. Kass of course is everyone's pick to go to the finals because she would get no votes. If it's a F2, Trish needs to be that goat instead of Kass.
 
While I would love the F2 to return, I would also really hate if a surprise F2 screwed Tasha out of the finals in third place. Once was enough with Cirie.

Part of me also really hopes Kass can make it to the end because I really want to watch people flip their shit at her for making it to the finals.
 
Kass getting to the finals would be boring because whoever sits next to her out of the remaining players is guaranteed to win. I'd rather see Kass get voted out so 1) Trish's chances of going to the end improve and 2) Kass goes to Ponderosa and has to deal with Morgan and Sarah. I would watch those videos with popcorn.
