Survivor China

I personally find James to be the hottest on the show. And, by the way, he's a personal friend whom I've known for about 14 years, and he is more than a grave digger.

This is a tad late, but it's my opinion on a twist that I don't really see as unfair, but what I see it as is creating fresh television and less predictable outcome for a show that could easily become predicatable... I think that PG and Jaime made a smart move, even though Frosti and Sherea totally gave them the cold shoulder. They're pushing themselves forward in the game and honestly, I would vote out the strongest people first. I would've done the same thing! Who cares if the weak people thrive and make it to the end? They outsmarted you and sometimes brains prevail over brawn, but we have seen brawn come through on Survivor and that season was totally boring (Exile Island). What PG and Jaime did made better television... It's taking them further, they're playing the game and they aren't riding coat tails and letting others do all of the plotting for them, they used their heads. Who cares if they threw a challenge to get further? It's better than letting their original tribe get completely wiped out.

Oh and why didn't people get angry with Ozzy from Cook Islands? He threw a challenge for no reason at all, just to get rid of Billy. Sure Billy was annoying, but was that fair for him? No it wasn't especially because Ozzy did it for absolutely no reason. PG and Jaime strategically threw a challenge. They had a reason to do it, while Ozzy didn't, but Ozzy is the loveable fan favourite from Cook Islands. So I guess it's alright.

Oh well. That is the beauty of Survivor... the second you think you have the game figured out it gets flipped upside down so it's LESS PREDICTABLE, which is why this show is one of the best reality shows on television!

All I hear is people bitching and moaning about this twist. If you don't like it, I seriously don't get you... You must be new to watching the show, because the exact twist happened in Africa. I just think people handled that twist a lot better than this twist. Oh well, let people get angry about a reality show... I'm quite entertained and I am a fan of PG and Jaime.

Tonights episode was good... Sherea went home, which was bad for me because I liked her too. She was pretty good at challenges and she could have been a threat... I don't see why Fei Long didn't vote out Frosti, who knew about the idol, while Sherea didn't... Or Jean Robert. The man could easily flip on Fei Long.

Well I realize I was in the minority but I was furious when Ozzy through the challenge and delighted in the fact the next three people of that tribe went away one two three and if it weren't for stupid Candace switching sides he would've been next.

By now it clearly wasn't a smart move for Jamie and PG. The kidnap I said they should've thought about happened. And the fact tehy assumed Frosti and Sherea's compliance backfired as well. They're plan didn't work they're 4 on 6 anyway and they've effectively alienated any hope of keeping James and probably lost Frosti.

I'm not happy with Sherea going it wasn't the smartest move. Todd and Amanda should've made a final three deal with Frosti and gotten rid of Jean-Robert. They also should've kept the immunity idol information between Todd, Amanda, James and Frosti. There was no reason for Denise and Courtney to know. It also wasn't smart give that idol to James they may never have an oppurtunity to vote the man out if he dominates competitions and has two immunity idols. They have the numbers either way and I feel like keeping Jean-Robert is fracturing any chance they had of pulling in Courtney and gives Denise/James the chance to pull in Jean Robert destroying their majority.

The biggest problem in this game is people ALWAYS assume the physically strongest person is the strongest competition... well tell that to Colby. Winning immunity isn't necessarily going to win you the game and no one is going to win immunity every week you might get a Tom or Terry but they'll be that week when they slip up. Really threats are you well rounded social players. Aaron though physically weaker was more of a threat than James I do give PG and Jamie credit for seeing that. But that's all the credit they get. The move was dumb on so many levels.

Also in the preview it looks like Jamie and Eric have the immunity idol.... wtf? How on Earth does that happen if James knows exactly where it is?

I love Frosti. I hope he can make it to the end. He's my favorite player right now - adorable!

Yeah Frostis cool with me but I think I like James the most at the moment. The both seem like they're in relatively good position. Frosti should have no problem staying longer then Jean-Robert in the red tribe pecking order and if Courtney keeps at it he'll out last her too.

Hmmmm then I don't know how numskulls A and B could get a hold of it. Maybe the preview was misleading they have a habit of doing that.

Yeah I have a feeing the previews were misleading. The only other thing is maybe they "found" it on James and then decided to find the second one for themselves. OR maybe James stupidly shared this info with them. He may do that because he may be uncertain how his old tribe feels about him after not losing that Immunity challenge.

All right so I went back and watched the preview on youtube. First thing they show is James standing under the idol with no one around. Then Probst goes "Jamie and Eric make a discovery." Eric says quote "It LOOKS idolish"..... The idol said on the back "This is an immunity idol" so I'm assuming James gets it, peels that part off. Thing one and Thing 2 notice that for some reason someone has removed part of the arch way and knowing that there is an idol put two and two together. They probably find James Idol. That's what I'm going with.

Why hasn't anyone said anything about the "shower" that James took in front of the entire tribe? Wasn't that hot? Any screenshots out there? Too bad the most important part was blurred.

That probably is what happened.

Either way this was an incredibly stupid move by Todd. I think he likes to think of himself as a mastermind moreso than actually being one. His plan was more complicated and flashy than really being tricky/smart. Remember at the end of Huckleberry Finn when Tom Sawyer shows up and ruins an otherwise good novel? Jim could easily be saved (and Tom knew all along that his mistress had released him) but Tom decides to withhold that information and execute a convoluted, superfluous and cumbersome rescue plan that ends up making things more dangerous for all of them, and winds up getting one of the boys shot. What's my point? Little boys with elaborate fantasies are not the best at executing strategic adult plans. Leave that to the level headed adult who can do a quick cost-benefit analysis to protect your ammunition and your allies, and deliver the best blow to your enemy. Adults like Yul.

Todd could just have easily kept the HII and told James THEY (Todd's team) would throw the Immunity challenge and vote Sherea off. That way, James would still be safe, they would STILL lose someone from the opposing original tribe (which is exactly where they are now) and Todd would still have the HII. I wouldn't have even alerted James that there might be a second one. Now, instead of being in that exact position with the idol ammunition in tow, Todd has lost the HII and the one guy capable of blowing through every Individual Immunity challenge post-merge, will probably have TWO idols.

STUPID, STUPID move on Todd's part! When exactly does he imagine they will get rid of James? A guy like James could win every competition until the end and it usually only requires one loss to boot him. Now James can save himself TWICE with the idols. He's making it to the end, and Todd should know Jean-Robert is James' ally. James is definitely not taking likable Todd with his multiple friends on the jury to the finals. Why should be? He'd be stupid to do that. No, he'll take disgusting Jean-Robert so he (James) can win with a unanimous vote.

If Todd really wanted to be elaborate (but productively so) he could have flipped Frosti as they easily did by sharing the HII secret with him, and then win the next challenge so the other team would get rid of James for him. That way, Todd would still have the majority votes post merge (with Frosti and perhaps even Sherea in tow - hello? Any superficial read of her shows she's not all that close/chummy with her original tribemates. She was the first one out had that team stayed together and lost an Immunity challenge), he would still have his HII and he would have gotten rid of the potential Individual Immunity Hog. Hell Aaron was already gone so the only other potential Individual Immunity threat would be Jean Robert (and just barely) and it would be VERY easy to get rid of him what with everyone hating him and all. Now it will be almost impossible since Jean Robert is aligned with James who could easily 1) give JR one of the idols should talk of booting him ever come up 2) win Immunity and give JR the Immunity necklace should talk of booting him come up, while threatening to use the HII if they try to boot James instead, forcing them to turn to another victim and hey, James won't even have to use his idol. Yes, if James finds the second idol, he could use the threat of it (as Yul did - a strategy that proves to be far more effective than playing the idol itself one time) to secure himself and JR for the long haul.

THAT'S how bad Todd's move was. Have we learned nothing from Mookie? NEVER give an idol away.

I am hereby nicknaming Todd as Todd Sawyer.

I agree wiht you completely... well I can't say completely because I skimmed towards the end but I fully believe your thesis. IT was so dumb for him to basically put two immunity idols in the hands of the biggest physical threat of the game. Throwing the challenge would be the smarter move. But I don't believe in challanges so I would've just said so James see that spot go to your camp find the identical spot and get it.

Colby was the strongest competition. He just got fucking stupid at the end and gave Tina the million dollars.

I think Jamie/Erik are just looking at Jame's idol. I think the rules are you can't steal it though. That's why Alex/Mookie threatened Yaoman instead of stealing it.

That was my point by all standards you'd say the Colby was the biggest threat but he wasn't. Tina won. The youngest strongest make is not always the biggest threat but they're always the biggest perceived threat.

Spoilers. . .

Woohoo! Jamie the bitch is gone.

Gotta say though, I was fooled. I thought that she swapped the false idol for one of the real ones in James's bag. But she didn't and tried to play the false one. Although I wouldn't be surprised if someone still stole one if not both idols from Jame's bag, and he hasn't noticed yet (that would be incredibly stupid of him; he was stupid enough to leave his bag unguarded). In next week's preview, Todd is already plotting to get rid of James (weird, I thought they were an aliance). Maybe he'll be the one to do the stealing.

What world are PG and Jamie living in!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did they honestly think James would work with them?? And did Jamie honestly believe that there were THREE idols? Idiots, just idiots.

And Todd what are you doing!?!? You may have to turn on James eventually but it is way too soon for that. People are not gonna bit until you at least get PG and Eric gone.

I don't think it would be stupid to assume there's 3 idols - one can never predict what the producers throw at you. Anyways, weren't there 3 last season?

After the merge, it is never too early to pick off a potential immunity monster. James is the largest physical threat of the people left, and if the threats are left to stay in the game too long, they will be dangerous later in the game, where there are fewer people. Getting rid of him earlier would also be a good idea, since James has one of the idols. Not trying to oust James early would be stupid, since he would have a free ride to the finals, like Yul did in CI.

Plus, if Todd offered Jaime, Peih-Gee, or Erik "safety" for some time in exchange for their votes (in either tribal council or the finale), it would be smarter to let them stay. They are the minority, so they will be desperate to stay in the game, and will latch on to whomever offers them incentives to do so.

On the other hand, James would be more difficult to persuade to ally with. I think he has set his eyes on Jean-Robert and Denise for his core alliance. If James is voted out, then a rather strong alliance would be broken up.

But, you never know what they throw at you, and what the Survivors decide to do. All we can do is wait and watch.

It's stupid because it just isn'tgoing to happen. It's just going to encourage the dissolution of his own tribe and dissolve any trust people have in him. And why would there be three idols? That would mean one camp has two. They're always even. It's always fair in that regard. Not to mention whenever there's an imunity idol there a letter with it.

Getting rid of him earlier would also be a good idea, since James has one of the idols.
James has both idols.

If they are going to be plotting against him, then they have their work cut out for them. Not only do they need to rely on the strongest physical competitor losing the next few challenges to use up his idols, but they need to convince enough people to go along with that plan.

Although Todd was STUPID for letting James have both idols, he is smart for trying to blindside James and get rid of the 2 idols and the strongest competiter at the same time. They all should be trying to get rid of James as soon as possible now that they all know he has 2 idols. What are they going to do, wait until they take James to the final 5 and then he uses both idols 2 weeks in a row? He'd win the final immunity and win the game since they all like him. There are only 9 people left, the longer they keep him, the harder it is to get rid of him. Amanda and Courtney are stupid for not seeing it. I think Courtney is just doing that to disagree since she's mad at Todd though. I want James gone just for the entertainment of the show. He's too powerful with the 2 idols and being the strongest competiter. It's not fun watching if the prize is handed to someone.

Falconfan, I know you want PG/Erik gone as soon as possible for getting rid of Aaron but they're only 2 people. They are way outnumbered and can easily be picked off right after James.

I don't really hold anything against Jamie/PG/Erik anymore, they were just playing the game. They were stupid to think James would work with them at that time though.

I'm wondering what PG's "Power Play" is. I think the 5 people are her, Erik, Frosti, James, Jean-Robert. If not then it's her, Erik, Frosti, James and Courtney.

I don't know about blindsiding James simply because at this point in the game I don't think it's doable. If miraculously he gives away BOTH idols in the same episode then maybe it's something to consider but honestly WHY would he give away both idols? He's not one of the dumb ones. Right now I just think it's gonna be a problem. It really depends on the particular situation. But they spent so much time last week talking about how important it was to stick together that saying the opposite would just basically set Courtney loose because she's so stupid. Frosti is still a wild card. PG and Erik are alone. And if James get wind that Todd's against him... that makes 5 people.... to the 4 remaining. Sometimes you can go against your own but you probably want to have more than a 1 person advantage. I mean I just don't see why Todd needs to do this. He's right on track. It might be a smart move for Courtney or John-Robert because they're weaker links in the alliance but Todd is already at the top.

And I told you PG and Jamies genius plan was stupid. They just managed to alienate the votes that they need. Stupid.
