Is gay for pay porn damaging to the gay/queer male community?

This is a list of several topics I wanted to discuss that I feel people aren't really discussing in the queer/gay male community which are.

Is there racism/discrimination in the gay male community?
Is gay for pay porn damaging to the gay/queer male community?
Should LGBT/queer teachers be open to their students?
Is having a racial/body/personality preference preference okay?
Should queer people be open at their workplace?
Why is the gay community so promiscuous and sex crazed?

Just as an introduction as I know we all come from different backgrounds and situations and experiences, I am a gay African/Black American feminine man.

So in this topic, I'm asking is gay for pay porn, or guys who aren't gay acting in gay porn, damaging to the gay/queer male community?

This is not to be confused with, Why is the gay community so promiscuous and sex crazed.

Here is my opinion and the rundown.

(Note:When I say LGBT, I mean guys who are not straight. Meaning guys who are bisexual, bicurious, pansexual, metrosexual, non gender binary, etc. or to just put it simply, guys who don't go as straight and are one of us, as it's just simpler this way. When I say straight I mean guys who are only attracted to cisgender women and only that, and even find homosexual acts disgusting. When I speak generally, I mean that, that goes for any guy.)

Okay:
Gay/LGBT men who are outcasts of the world and have something special to show.

Gay/LGBT men who are in financial turmoil and have no other alternatives.

Guys who are doing it for performance art/non professional reasons.

Guys who are LGBT but pass as straight, but not in a condescending way for purposes of the film.

Straight men who are actively supportive of the LGBT culture and go on to produce gay porn.

Straight men doing straight porn or solo jack off vids/non penetration.

Straight men doing vanilla kink no sexual/stripping in gay bars or bartending etc.

Straight porn actors who have been in the business for years and want to try something else. Peter North, John Holmes, Herschel Savage and Rod Fontana have recently done Gay for pay several times years after they have been successful straight porn actors. Guess what, they all went back to straight porn, lol.

People understanding that gay porn does not in fact pay more, and I can bring up proof. I used to believe that shit, they get paid pretty much at the same rate, and really straight porn actors, like the guys who go up into producing and directing, get paid way more than guys working for gay porn sites which update three times a year.

(I will say that guys in straight porn are usually gonzo camera men, or directors that fuck the girls so i'll give you that one. It's not much recruiting or star potential. But I'm sure it would be easier for a straight guy to book a job in straight porn, than it would be for a straight guy to book a job in gay porn.)

Not Okay:
Barebacking (This goes for anybody, gay, straight, wear a condom)

Guys who have never done any safer alternatives in this business, (dancing, stripping, bartending, straight porn etc) and all of sudden want to do gay porn because they have this myth that it pays more.

Straight men who can't afford their child support. If you have children under the age of 18 and do porn of any kind, heaven help you. This is what usually gets people out of porn is when they start to have children.

Straight college guys who need to pay for their tuition.

Having two straight men give sexual relations to each other.

Straight or homophobic bodybuilders who do it to pay for their career (gym equipment, supplements, etc.)

Obviously homophobic toned gay porn to where the straight guy top is usually saying "Take it faggot," etc. You guys know exactly what I'm talking about.

I just feel with all that said, there is a lot of issues that come up with it.

It's a main reason I don't like most gay porn, as it's straight men, and it gives me a false sense of hope that I'm getting off to a guy who is straight, but oh well.

I'm more concerned on this straight guys who know gay men are enabling them and he goes "You faggots can't have me, but you want me." etc. and gay men are buying these guys videos and supporting his site.

I just don't see how any of that is healthy but, you know. That's just what I think.

What do you think?

Re: Why is the gay community so promiscious and sex crazed?

Have you thought about becoming a lesbian ? they seem to have the ideal set up for you.

As a gay man i prefer fucking anyone and everyone i want to.

Re: Is gay for pay porn damaging to the gay/queer male community?

You should learn to spread out these topics a bit more. Posting six topics at a time where they’re all TL;DR is a bit much.

Just as an introduction as I know we all come from different backgrounds and situations and experiences, I am a gay African/Black American feminine man.

So in this topic, I'm asking is there racism/discrimination in the gay male community, when it comes to interpersonal relationships and social circuits.

This is not to be confused with these threads such as.

Is having a racial/body/personality preferences okay?

http://www.justusboys.com/forum/thr...-culture-plays-a-factor-in-your-gay-lifestyle (To where I'm asking is your self race or culture identity plays a part on your lifestyle as a gay man?)

[Also note that this thread will talk about race issues in a very serious matter and manner.]

Yes I without a doubt believe this community is very racist.

Just a foreword, I was recently watching an episode of Catfish on MTV, as a single gay black feminine man who do wants to find the love of his life someday, this shit really agitated me and I'm convinced this thread is really hitting deep.

So I was just channel surfing a while ago, and I was watching Catfish.

For those that are unaware, Catfish, is a reality television show on MTV, where it deals with people who go on online dating sites, but for some reason have concerns or doubts with the person they are interacting with online. So they hire investigators by MTV to research the situation more. Most of the time, this person is someone who is not who they are proclaiming to be and/or it's someone who doesn't even exist. Rarely, the person does end up being a success.

I used to watch it, but stopped, but something told me to watch this episode for some reason. Being a feminine black gay man myself, this episode really made me upset and sad to a very dark degree.

This particular episode, you have a kinda slender and feminine gay black man who recently moved to a new city in the South Eastern part of the United States. (I'll call him Tyler. His name wasn't Tyler on the show, but I want to protect the innocent.)

He went on a gay networking app, to find other gay men to talk to and befriend. He ends up talking to this guy who lives in walking distance from his house. He ends up really making a big connection and relationship with him. Even though he's only heard his voice. They never met in person.

He is this big and tall masculine white guy with long blonde hair, a beard and blue eyes. This man is handsome and a god, clearly. I'm gonna call him Scott.

Tyler is starting to believe he's being tricked, and that Scott isn't who is says he is.

Sadly, as much as me personally would think they would make a cute couple, I already knew that there was no way and chance that Scott, a guy like that would be interested in Tyler. But I'm not everyone in the world. There are billions of people on this planet, so maybe there is a chance this could be legitimate.

So the show does more digging, long story short, Scott doesn't even live in America. He's a journalist in a foreign country, and he's not a single gay man, he's in a committed relationship.

What I found kinda cute, was that Tyler even though he was disappointed in Scott being a facade and not real, he still wanted to see who this guy was he was bonding too, even though he wasn't the guy in the pictures. There was more evidence pointing to the guy was kinda this more bear and obscure guy. Yet Tyler still wanted to meet him though.

Long story short, after more digging, it turns out Scott, is actually three different people playing games on him. They are all these three white people who friends of each other that don't know Tyler, and were just trying to teach him a lesson or mess and play with his emotions and shit.

I'm gonna call them Richard, Mark and Becky, again to protect the innocent. Richard and Mark I believe are boyfriends, and Becky is just their hag that hangs around them.

So they go to Richard, Mark and Becky house. They all live here. I don't know the situation, or really care. They all admit that they made the Scott profile on a gay dating site, to mess with gay men.

I don't really understand Richard and Mark's story or situation or defense other than they are assholes, but Becky claims that every guy she has a crush on, turns out to be gay. So in order to suppress her feelings on that, she creates fake profiles on gay dating sites, to fool and trick gay men.

They claim they aren't going to do this anymore. I don't think they ever apologized to Tyler. In fact they even blamed him for the whole ordeal. Like they tried to iterate, that there was no way Scott or any guy for that matter would give him any of their time.

Then they said that he should have known better, and used common sense that this was a trick. Becky then started to feel kinda guilty, but the two other guys could care less, and their job was accomplished.

I just find this sad, that they would not only pick on a gay man, but a gay black man. To me that is just extremely fucked up and sad. They knew nobody would care about this man. They knew that him being black and gay he doesn't get any love from anyone. Here he has someone who he thought was real and he had a connection to, only to be three people that have way better and happier privileged lives than him, and blame him for all the shit that happened.

Tyler the entire time, is being very civil towards them, and just taking in all their bullying and abuse. So I give him props for that.

If I were Tyler, I shit you not, I would have possibly burned that entire fucking house down to be honest, like Left Eye from TLC. lol

To not only be tricked by someone who is not this gay guy I was talking to, but they are white and possibly racist and homophobic and have no remorse, and blame me for the whole thing.

It was really sad, that this man allowed himself to be humiliated by these possible racist and homophobic people, really.

I then started to see other perspectives.

People on social media were saying these people were possibly in a cult or some type of coven, and they wanted to recruit this guy. People were saying they could have raped him, drugged him, killed and chopped him up etc. Chained him up and hanged him. So luckily all that happened was what happened. Ugh.

So I was trying to look at it from that angle, I don't know.

I also thought maybe this was all a performance art thing. Or they were trolling, or trying to be famous and get their spotlight and chance to shine. It's possible every single one of these people are actors.

I don't see the benefit or gain from that. I wouldn't want to be famous over something like this.

Or this was some type of fraternity or initiation or something, that they would fabricate a story like this and put it on national television. Again, I don't know.

I just wanted to post this here, and share my thoughts on this program. Ugh.

=========

I'm not seeing unity the way I would like to see it.

Growing up, being a gay black man, I've always tried to be optimistic and happy, but now I'm convinced this culture is very racist.

You have these gay clubs run by white gays, and you have people not being admitted or getting kicked out of gay clubs, and saying they can't wear certain attire. They can't wear snapback caps, jerseys, bling bling, wife beaters, short shorts, high top shoes, doo rags, tops that cover your bottoms, beanies, baggy jeans etc. They get silent, and they don't care.

This is just one example, but this paper was actually posted outside of a gay club.

I see that shit so often it's not funny. Where gay clubs do that shit so common.

Here is a story of a gay black man who was a journalist, who wasn't let into a gay club because he and his friends were black. (This isn't the guy apart of the situation, he's just retelling it.)

So yeah. Feel free to discuss.

Re: Is having a racial/body/personality preference preference okay?

Wrong section. The fetish section isn't in Hot Topics.

Re: Is there racism/discrimination in the gay male community?

No. None at all. Next question?

Re: Should queer people be open at their workplace?

Nobody should be open in the workplace. Talking about who you fucked last weekend is not only unprofessional it's against sexual harassment policy for every single business on US soil. Anything beyond having a picture of your boyfriend on your desk is oversharing and doesn't belong in the workplace, gay or straight.

Re: Why is the gay community so promiscious and sex crazed?

Because gay love and relationships are a fairly new concept in the US. Until recently you surpressed and denied, you married a woman, had a few kids and sex with men was something you did on weekends at 3am. Is it really rocket science that something that has been discouraged by our churches, schools, government, communities and families isn't super duper common? So what's left? Sex. You are a PRIME example of someone who is just utterly broken and despondent due to internalized homophobia, for someone who is made to feel less than for their entire lives, sometimes the only good feeling you can achieve is sex.

What would you like to know next, why interracial dating wasn't common in 1764?

Re: Do you believe there is tension between masculine and feminine gay guys?

Can I ask a question? Why do you think of yourself as feminine? What exactly about you is feminine? How do you define it? I've read a couple of your posts and nothing I've read strikes me as particularly such. I realize the limitations of the medium we're using and this is why I ask.

Re: Why is the gay community so promiscious and sex crazed?

You don't need to understand it.....

Re: Is there racism/discrimination in the gay male community?

My response....listen and learn....

I am assuming you will miss the point..but maybe not....

Re: Is having a racial/body/personality preference preference okay?

Wrong section. The fetish section isn't in Hot Topics.

This has nothing to do with that. This is very much a general topic and issue.

How many of these are you going to spam the place with, it's dull and boring listening to people give you advise and support again and again, and all you do is throw every minority poor me card at them.

I never covered this issue at all.

Re: Should LGBT/queer teachers be open to their students?

What would be the purpose?

If you read my OP.

There might be children in the class also struggling with issues, I know when I was young, and getting black eyes for being gay, it would have been nice to have that.

That's not what I meant at all.

I'm saying why is it okay for straights to be open, but not for gays?

We're not even talking about sex, at all.

Having a picture of your boyfriend on your desk, is also being open at work, and supporting my point which you seem to be offensive over. Smh. lol.

Re: Is there racism/discrimination in the gay male community?

Not only did you not read the post. But that's very petty, wow. Smh.

I don't need to read it. I'm a black fag living in the south I know all about racism and discrimination. Is there anything new that's supposed to be added to this convo that hasn't been said ad nauseam?
