FWIW, there are three gay bars in Raleigh:

Flex - leather bar, but trailer park prize night is supposed to be fun (amusing drag show on Thursday nights)
Capitol Corral - daddy bar
Legends - twinky bar (is this where you went?)

There's also (or at least used to be) Ringside in Durham which is more of a mixed place.
 
Hey Man... you had fun.. you met someone and had a good time.

Dont' expect every guy you meet in a bar to be a potential boyfriend.. some just wanna hang when they're partying.

I have heard of that as well, but you don't sound desperate. I just wouldn't suggest looking too eager, for it can be misjudged as desperation.

It does suck when boys don't call. But it sucks more to dwell on it. Go to the bar again this weekend. You're an attractive guy (although I don't know you and your personality may suck) and I'm sure you'll meet someone else who will gladly call you. When you meet someone you like right away, it's hard not to get...hard...about him right away. You grow out of it though. It has nothing to do with age, just experience. Good luck!

I don't think you are old enough to hit a gay bar yet my friend. Got to be 21 at least. Well, if they serve alcohol anyway. :-)
 
If I were you I would check out websites which writes reviews of the bars in your area. Just google it. That way you will get a clearer idea of their reputations. If you don't wanna get groped make sure you go with a group of your own friends. It takes guts for anyone to break a clique.

The best news to this date is that you have never been to one.
Go look, but don't take your shades off or your clothes,
or stay very long,
it will suck (no pun intended) the life right out of you.

lol.. im not out but i always go to gay bars.. but there are a fair few straight guys who go to on of the ones brisbane. but i would go there even if it was a gay bar.. it has the cheapest drinks and best music...
