Speaking seriously, though, some have seriously suggested that SS is also a creation of somebody. I don't know if I can believe that, but doggone it, poor SS's prose is so purple that I can't understand one blessed word he says.

So if, for example, a Jubber assumes an identity and announces himself as being HIV positive, and to then die, resulting in pages of pages of eulogy, then it's ok because it's only the internet and we shouldn't get emotionally involved? And it doesn't really matter, because it's the fault of Jubbers for believing anything on the internet?

To me, that's just not fair. Fakers should be condemned. Otherwise we're just encouraging them, while the real people in the coming out forum (for example), with real problems, and real life experiences, are demoted to nobodies.

And that is of course perfectly your right. I am obviously in the minority. I dont think it is mentally healthy thing to do so i choose not to do it. However I am not some sort of Jungian character and really have no idea. Just my personal preference.

Hell i wanted to organize a CEP type meetup here in KC simply because I know it would elevate the conversation if each of us saw and KNEW human beings typing the words we read.

Well, I'd try to get there. Limiting it to C E & P though, would mean only you and Jack Springer (is there anybody else nearby?). Even the C O & R, Amateur Showcase, etc. thread-people could show up.

And somebody who posted in one of the Garden of Memories threads (guess which GoR thread) might even show up, but we may not even know.

Wasn't sure if they could do that or not.

Of course they can put up breaking Christmas lights with sound, award Thread Bonus Points, and do other crazy April Fool stuff, etc., but the technology to CHANGE the color of a name to black? I really, seriously, doubt it.

I missed the whole Tyler thing,and it happened while I was with another JUBBER we saw JUB on the news.

I remember watching TV somewhere and seeing a report, showing a porno site very briefly, and me thinking "HEY, WAS THAT JUB?" but it was gone before it could really "register."

It's funny how chance works out. I thought I had finished with this thread, where I've posted more than enough to deal with any substance in it. But tonight, I had occasion to revisit another old thread while cleaning up a different pointless mess, and I discovered that we had already gone around this mulberry bush long before Enchanted invited us to reminisce about Andreus.

And though it pains me to put anyone on the spot, particularly when that person has not weighed in on this thread, we do have a moderator who I would hope would stand by these words he wrote:

Please allow me to put that to bed for you.

As a Moderator of JustUsBoys.com we get to see all different types of deception, lies, various manipulations, multiple user accounts, and the like.

I personally knew Dreu and he had none of those motivations, nor did his Brother Dimitri / T Mitri.

As Moderators we spend quite a bit of time sorting these things out with tools and methods that the membership can only speculate about.

I can assure you that they were two different members, and that Andreus is gone from our boards because he's no longer living.

Let's leave it at that shall we?

I return to the fact that while I never knew Andreus, I have no reason to believe he was not a real person. I have no reason to doubt Andreus' life events were related to us in a reasonably accurate approximation of the truth.

And whether he was fake or real, no one else here has presented anything but superstition and wild speculation as a basis for doubting it either, with one exception: the recent activity date of Andreus' account arouses curiosity. It suggests that the quote above is from someone who has been misled, or that someone hacked Andreus' account or knew or guessed the password, or that the technical depths of the JUB software are not fully known by our moderators as would prevent some other ordinary explanation.

Where please? I won't rule it out that somebody said that, but this is technically impossible. While some mods are less technical than others (and I don't mean that as a bad thing), pretty much everybody should know how it works by now

Apart from that, I wouldn't give too much weight to ooold posts, either. As with members, back then there have been skeptical and less skeptical mods. And overtime, new things might have been unearthed.
