Hey guys-

A sad note here... Due to my current financial difficulties I will not be able to attend. I was really looking forward to meeting everyone in person and I know we juggled a lot of dates around trying to work it into a teacher's schedule.

I know you guys will have fun and have great memories. Do me a favor and do a toast for friends not present cause I'll be with you guys in spirit that weekend.

If someone's name is missing, it's because I got PM'd. Which means that I get the bad news before anyone else does!

I'm going to set the DEADLINE for RSVP for March 5, 2006 (Sunday) for me to get the "head-count" into JD for JUB T'shirts. JD has advertised this meet in the JUB Newsletter, and has offered T-Shirts to all of those who are attending. Right now I'm looking at 12+ JUB T-shirts...those who will be in Dallas on the weekend of the meet, and those who are sponsoring the meet in Dallas that weekend.

I spoke with Leanne (ake TheBelmontBabe!) and she said that we're going to have a great turn-out!

Frankly, I'm starting to freak-out!

I want everyone who show's up that weekend to have a great time, so for those who are coming from "out-of-town" please tell me what it is that y'all want to do, eat, or see, so that I can accommodate!

I can arrange just about anything!

I'll even buy an extra room (I have some credit at HotelBelmont) so that some won't have to sleep in their car, or NOT come just because...

There's enough to do at HotelBelmont so that really we don't have to go anywhere, but I want to "put on the dawg," and to show Dallas to those who've never been here!

MAN! That would be super! Baton Rouge doesn't have a strong gay scene, but New Orleans is coming back.

The Pub and OZ are open and rockin, and I think most of the smaller clubs are open as well if they weren't damaged in the flood.

I've seen a couple of guys on JUB from my area (neworleansguy for one) but there seems to be more of you guys in TEX. I'd drive over for an evening or breakfast, or something like that. Doesn't need to be an "organized" multi-day event. I just can't make it for this get together - DAMN!

Hey y'all!

I stopped by The Belmont Hotel last night and visited with Lena! She is so excited to be hosting this event, and wanted me to tell everyone that everyone that she's talked to who has made reservations that "The JUB guys are the nicest that I've ever met!"

She also wanted to let everyone know that in addition to the 15% Discount on rooms, that it also comes with complimentary valet parking, and a continental breakfast on Sunday!

The list of definitely attending is:

Two weeks from today! JUB members start arriving in Dallas!

I figured that we can meet for appetizers at the Bar at Hotel Belmont at 6:30 on Saturday evening. We can then decide if we want to travel to another place for dinner, or a night on the town, or both.

Lena said that she will make sure the pool is heated, and we can move our party poolside if we wish. The pool has a really nice view of the Dallas skyline!

It's going to be fun!

Do you guys know what'll be on the iternerary as far as doing stuff? I mean, there is a possibility I could go... but what would we be doing?

If you should get there Friday night, I understand that stevenavy is hosting a get-together. Saturday, up until the evening, is pretty much an open situation. I understand that the pool will be warmed and available. Not to mention there are things to see and do in and around Dallas. Saturday evening is basically dinner as a group and then some bar hopping. Sunday is check out. Hope that helps and I hope we'll see you there.

As fate would probably have it, my mom and her new boyfriend are actually going to Dallas on the 17, 18, and 19th. I told her about what you guys were gonna do and said I might be able to go if things work out. Of course, things won't be written in stone until the day arrives closer.

Have them drop you off at The Belmont Saturday around 6:30pm.

This way they'll have plenty of time to ship them to Texas for the JUB meet.

Hey joe! You're more than welcome to join us next weekend. If you haven't gone through the thread yet our plans are pretty simple. Meet us at the Belmont next Saturday for cocktails.
