Okay, I've started the search for plane tickets. Looks like I can do this. Love Field is the airport I wanna fly into, correct? I can book my flight for about $150 (haven't checked for teacher discounts yet... gotta remember to do that).

Unfortunately, it would be about a 12 hour drive for me. I hate driving long distances. Amarillo is two hours away and is about as long of a car trip as I drive anymore.

Yes, if you take Southwest you can fly into Love Field. If you'll need a ride I can arrange to pick you up, and anyone else who's flying in. I can rent a van, or a shuttle bus or a large neon green Vista Cruiser. ;)

centexfarmer, Since the JUB Cruise was scuttled, I was wondering if I could join the fun in DFW. Been to DFW a couple of times for work and had an awesome time, especially in the West End area.

I will be ready for a break from work by then

Where have I been? How did I miss all this excitement? Sounds like a blast! The Belmont looks amazing. Another nice restaurant with private rooms for small groups is Bronx right on the strip in Oaklawn. :wave:

Tell her that you're with the group Just Us Boys, and mention my name Preston. We have to book at least five rooms as a group to get a 15% discount. So I would imagine that we book the rooms, then work on the payment arrangements once we know how many rooms well need, or have already booked.

I'm still working on the venue for a our dinner/gathering/drinking etc. ..|
 
The hotel looks awesome. Just blocked the weekend off in my calendar. Looking forward to Dallas, meeting everyone and seeing how much fun we can have.
