The Obama justice department’s double standard: Bashing Arizona for imagined racism while looking the other way on the Panthers, telling attorneys in the civil rights division to ignore cases that involve black defendants and white victims. Eric Holder is a coward for dropping the charges against the black panthers. Here is the panther leader in all his glory brought to you by the National Geographic Channel.

Why would I call Holder a black panther leader? :rolleyes: That's just your [Text: Removed by Moderator] interpretation of the title. Would this be better: The Black Panther leader that A.G. Holder let off the hook. I didn't say the clip was from the NGC. Showing himself in "all his glory" was brought to us by their documentary.

You think a racial bias in the DoJ is a joke? You should be concerned instead of diverting attention away from the matter at hand.

This is clear grounds for Eric Holder to be forced to resign for not upholding the duties of his office as well as grounds for disbarrment as an officer of the court.

How exactly am I race baiting? Are we not allowed to talk about hot button issues involving racist panther members because they're black? This is what the left does; label anyone a racist who points out the shameful behavior of an African American.

People should be scared that the Justice Department isn't willing to pursue civil rights cases against black defendants for political reasons.

My chilli soup has claimed the lives of many Saltines. But, I dont think that is what he was talking about. And though I may step in, what for most of us hits the fan, I believe 2 people are wrong. 1rst E. Holder for letting this crime go unpunished. 2nd King samir shabazz for spewing such haterd. Intimidating voters with a stick. (really a stick?) I believe in pride. But when pride blurs the beautiful mosaic that we are and becomes xenophobia that, that should have been left in the 1960's. Judge me on the color of my skin, and miss out on most of who I am.

This case will bring down Holder very quickly. I'm not a betting man, but I would not hesitate betting money on that fact.
 
The thread title has been edited. Now let's get on to discussion of the topic at hand. Holder has clearly given a pass to a bunch of racists who stood in front of a polling place for the purpose of intimidating voters wile carrying clubs.

Now for the sake of discussion, let's make these Black Panthers Klansmen in their white pointy hats. Does anybody here really think that they would be given a pass by this DOJ, or that they'd be on their way to the Gray Bar Hotel? Either group, similarly situated, should be charged. Why the pass for the Panthers?

If Holder decides not to prosecute these hate mongers, he's complicit by his inaction. He needs to step down, or be removed, and replaced by someone who actually intends to enforce the law.

As though Eric Holder is personally or solely responsible for the decision to prosecute or not prosecute individuals.

Maybe this will calm the group. It appears to me that the black men were yelling profanities to some white folk. Of course white folk find this offensive. But Holder apparently saw this just wasn't justified to try. It has nothing to do with saving Panthers from trial.

Ripping a page right out of the white supremacist training book, conservative bloggers are crying about the blatant “trampling of white rights” by the Department of Justice simply because it chose not to take up a case where the New Black Panther party was alleged to have insulted white voters. Check them out here, here and here.

It was an ugly scene, no doubt. Apparently, these guys yelled “white devil” to some white folks and told them "you're about to be ruled by the black man, cracker."

But the backlash is pretty damned convenient for the conservative blogospher that, as far as I can recall, has never acknowledged the civil rights of minorities. The conservative uproar ignores the reality and history of voter intimidation, the fact that thousands of minorities are routinely marginalized, manipulated and harassed into not voting. This is exactly the kiind of cherry picking the right wing does in trying to prove the existence of this alternate universe, an America where minorities are oppressing white men.

When I read Jackaroe's post last night, I started to construct a post about what they'd be tried for and who could bring suits. After a while of tinkering with it, I took a break and thought about the connections among the groups and the people responsible for the original video clip. I decided it wasn't worthy of my efforts. It would be, as another poster warned me about, feeding the troll. So I took the coward's way out or the irritated person's way out and followed his lead. (o)

Sorry, but BreitBart is just not worth the effort. It's a hydra. It's a log-pile. It's bait that reasonable people ought to avoid like the plague that it is.
