Re: Aguilera: Bionic [Spring 2010]
And as for the laughable idea that Gaga can't sing... Well, I refuse to dignify that with a response because it's clear that you've never listened to her albums. And Christina is far from an impeccable vocalist; her voice lacks any semblance of soul or emotion whatsoever. She sings about self-esteem in the same tone that she sings about her abusive childhood in the same way that she sings about kissing girls in the club. She's an automaton with no real sense of music.
And, once again, your information is wrong. Christina was NOT the only person who made a statement regarding the feud. Gaga, a TRUE lady, was quite diplomatic about the whole situtation, stating "I don’t take offense to it" and "I have no enemies." Unlike Christina who just recently started up with her again in a cheap effort to stir up publicity for her feeble attempt at an album. What an insufferable wench.
But it's not as though these songs require any real thought or effort. I mean, Britney's tracks from Blackout demonstrate a higher quality and production value, and they were hastily slapped together while she was experiencing a nervous breakdown. Do you honestly think it takes half a decade to pen a masterwork like "All the boys think it's cake when they taste my woohoo"?By the way, for everyone slamming her for taking so long between albums, have you forgotten that she got married and had a kid AND did her first film around the same time she started work on Bionic? I'm sure alot of her "career time" is now spent being a wife/mom. Jeez.![]()
Yes, because many people don't keep their finger on the pulse of the music industry. "Just Dance" was released in April 2008; "Keeps Gettin' Better" in September 2008. It's simple math.Actually, ALOT of people (including myself) thought Gaga was copying Christina (particularly her look) when she first came into the public eye.
Again, nobody claimed that Gaga invented European-influenced dance-pop, but it's noteworthy that once she brought it to the American market, Christina (ever the brainless fad-hopper) attempted to do the exact same thing. What happened to her personal identity as an artist? The idea that Christina was/is copying Gaga (regarding her music or her image) is ridiculous to me, because Christina was doing exactly what she's doing now years before Gaga released anything! Christina has many advantages over Gaga (for one, she can actually sing), so there's no need for her to copy her. Yes, electronic and dance music has become alot more popular in recent years - but Gaga is far from the founder of dance music (or bleached hair).

Christina fans should recognize that comparing ANYBODY to a drag queen is very dangerous territory. I mean, really?LAME! Most everyone thought that woman was a damn drag queen when they first saw her. That doesn't necessarily mean she was dissing her (or her fans). In case you didn't know, just after Perez Hilton thought it would get him attention by recently telling everyone Christina is copying Gaga, Christina was the first (and only) person involved to issue a statement saying how sexist and unnecessary it is to pit two female artists against one another. In the same statement, she called Gaga "great" and said she appreciated her as an artist.
