Eric thought Trent took the responsibility for the bar that he mentioned to Josh that Trent should be named manager while Eric is overseeing progress at the brewery.

Nate and Jordan did the research Josh asked for concerning the dormitory and were "rewarded" with Josh in a meeting room.

Logan's story was enlightening as to how he interacted with everyone because of how Ber-Nard treated him. Bernard reminds of the old Jerome who would have manipulated Logan the same or worse as long as Bernard got his way. It will be interesting to say the least when Bernard comes to bring in Logans replacement only to find out his company has lost the dormitory's contract.

Some great comments, guys. I was hoping Logan's heartfelt story would come off okay. Sounds like it did. Always great to hear from our long term characters and supporters of Josh, such as Eric. Trent has been kind of dicey throughout, but he's been good for a long time. He put all his effort into work and prove himself valuable to the organization. That's one life the boys have turned around. Josh wasn't so sure, but stood up for him and got him back from Phoenix. He turned out well.

This next chapter is some reorganization to put things into place to take over the dormitory management and keep in in-house. That leads to some major celebration. I'm already working on Saturday's chapter which makes the transfer or the business and even more embarrassing for Bernard when he shows up. I'm having great fun with that one.

Chapter 770 – Celebrating A Takeover Can Be Fun

I was greatly relieved Logan had shared with us the origin of his frustration with Bernard. Not only that, but it looked like Logan had finally allowed himself to have a relationship with a co-worker, something he had forever avoided. Here’s what I’m thinking, Logan, and tell me if this will work, because if it doesn’t, we have to figure something else out and quickly. I would like you and Clark to go to work for Stoney Enterprises. Logan, you would head up all our hospitality businesses, which would be the dormitory, Grand Victorian, Pink Flamingo and the Phallic Palace. Clark would be your assistant, just like he is now. We would make sure you are well compensated, as well as have a percentage of the profits generated, like we do with our other managers and become shareholders like the rest of us. I’ve already got our legal team working on the details and checking with accounting to set up all the admin we will need. You know all the vendors we need to work with, Logan. The most critical part of this startup is obviously the dormitory. You have a large majority of the staff to run it all lined up at this point. First, we need to sever our contract and business relationship with your current company, or should I say your previous company since, as of today, you are unemployed. I’ll have Jordan draft a letter to your boss as to how your firing is a breach of contract with us and we no longer care to do business with your previous company. We get Clark to draft, a letter of resignation also to your company. If they give us any grief, I think you have a strong case for a sexual harassment lawsuit against your boss and the company that employs him, which I will gladly point out to him on Monday with you in the meeting. He doesn’t get to come in here and tell us what he’s doing as you are now in charge of our hospitality group. So plan on lunch each day with us at the CNB for our senior staff meeting unless you’re in Key West with those startups. The PF is functioning fine at the moment, so we can pull that entity into the rest of the hospitality fold sometime when we get ready for the PP. You can do those together. Think about how we might want to remodel the PF also. You can work with Buzz on that project. We’re going to keep your ass busy, so I hope you know what you signed up to do,” I teasingly warned him.

“Josh, I couldn’t be more excited. I fell like a free man all of a sudden. I get to keep my dream job, but now I have wonderful friends to share my life with finally. I don’t have to be as guarded. “Yes, you have a fantastic new job now, Clark. I just worked it out with Logan. Logan is the new head of our hospitality branch of our company and you are the new assistant manager of that new division. Chapter 771 – Getting To Know Tex

Dex and I had some small talk on the way up to my office. I kind of liked his Texas drawl. “Sorry if I dressed inappropriately, but this new boss of mine told me he thought it was casual on Saturdays, but to dress more appropriately on Monday. I hope this is okay for today,” Dex told me. I told him he was fine as I was dressed the same way. He was cool. He seemed genuinely appreciative of our courtesy to him. “Nice digs here, Mr. Josh,” he said looking around as we got off the elevator. I told him to call me Josh. He smiled, thanking me for not having to be too formal, saying he liked that working with professional people. He told me most people called him Tex since he was from Texas, but in Texas, they called him Dex. I got a kick out of that. I used my phone as my key to the executive suite.

Needless to say, jaws dropped when I opened the door to my office and walked in with Dex. I introduced Will, Logan and Clark as part of our executive team working on the dormitory project. Dex didn’t recognize any of the names as I introduced them to him. It appeared to all of us, he was clueless as to what was going on here. That made it all the better. We could all pick his brain and he could innocently tell us everything he was aware of as a new guy that would be working closely with us. This was going to be fun.

“So Dex or Tex, whichever you prefer, tell us a little about your background and experience so we can get to know you a little better,” I told him. He grinned at all of us, an infectious grin. You just had the feeling you liked the guy right off, not to mention that nice bulge he had as he spread his legs sitting on the chair I had been sitting in as I moved to the couch with Clark. Tex chuckled.

“Well, let me see. I grew up in the piney woods of East Texas, kind of on a farm. Got that twang I can’t get rid of, but as I told Josh, I’m a lot smarter than I talk, so don’t hold that against me,” he said, making us chuckle but anxious to hear all about him. I worked hard on the farm growing up then went to college at Texas A&M. Yeh, I’m an Aggie. Go ahead and laugh, but I did get some military training there along with my studies. I graduated with a BA in hospitality management and went straight into an internship program four years ago with Gaylord Hotels. They put us through all the different departments rotating us around and the last two years in assistant managers positions responsible for different areas of our hotel business. I made it through all the departments with accolades for my achievement and have been the assistant manager for the Gaylord in the Dallas area, close to the DFW airport there. We handled a lot of conventions and tourists. It’s the hotel with the canals in the center of it. I even had to operate a canal boat for a stint which was kind of fun actually. I’ve done it all, gents, from maintenance, front desk, convention planning and facilitating, housekeeping. You wouldn’t believe the things you see when you work housekeeping, but I’m sure you all know that,” he said chuckling. Clark said the was definitely true. “I’ve even driven the shuttle bus to the airports, worked in the restaurants, food service, even cooked at times. Had to fix an elevator one time with a guest stuck in it. Saved the day on that one. I’ve even been a bellboy. Made some nice tips doing that. I’m pretty efficient in all phases of hotel management. So what do we have going on here as I’m still not sure what this project is all about, something about a dormitory startup at the University here?” he asked. I chuckled.

“What did your boss tell you about this project?” I asked.

“Not much actually. He’d been talking to me for some time about an excellent opportunity in the hospitality field for startups and management opportunities with his company. I met him at the Gaylord one evening when I was tending bar in one of our lounges when he was there for a meeting. We got to talking and actually, he was kind of flirting with me. We had a few drinks together and he was, all of a sudden, promising me half the world if I wanted to go to work for him. I wasn’t unhappy where I was, but there were a lot of us interns waiting for better positions which were few and far between, as most of us eventually moved on to Marriot or Hilton properties over time. He painted me a picture of a great life with his company. He was all excited that night we met, then I didn’t hear anything from him for some time. He told me he might call me out of the blue and have a great opportunity for me when I least expected it. Well, yesterday he called, offered me a hell of a nice salary, great bennies and this opportunity here in Uni for this startup and management. He told me if I did well on this one there may be more down the road that were even better. I was told that you were opening up a Five Star hotel in Key West and had some resort properties there as well we’d be managing when they were up and running and ready to be turned over to us,” Tex enlightened us.

“That’s interesting that he was looking down the road and planning for it,” I commented. Tex smiled. Logan shook his head in disbelief.

“Oh yeh, he said you guys were the greatest to work with and of the same mind set we were sexually, that is,” Tex replied.

“Oh, so you’re gay also? Don’t want to offend you by asking so bluntly, but from what you said, it sounded like you might have the same sexual preferences as us,” I offered.

“You know what they say about Texas, and that’s there’s nothing but steers and queers down there. Well, I am certifiably one of the queers, right here in person, but I am professional first and foremost,” Tex replied, making us all chuckle. Damn, if I wasn’t really starting to like this guy, and I really wanted to hate him when I thought I was going to meet him on Monday. “I have to say that from what I’ve seen of your staff so far, I like what I see. You have some hot guys on your staff, Josh,” Tex added.

“Great, well you’re in good company, I have to say, Tex as most of us are gay or at least gay friendly. As a matter of fact, if you have tended bar also, we have the CNB, a pub we own, next door to our offices here where we all work on Saturday Night for Gay Night if you’d like to help us out by tending bar with us. That is if you wouldn’t mind. It’d be a good way for us to get to know you better,” I suggested.

“Oh hell yes. I’d love to do that, Josh. That would be a great way to meet some of the rest of your guys and get to know them better. I’d be right at home doing something like that,” Tex said proudly. Damn, I did love this guy all of a sudden, plus the idea of seeing him in our underwear we wore as a uniform tonight, got me half excited. I could tell Will was thinking the same thing.

“Great, Tex. We’d love to have you join us. You’ll get a kick out of it I’m sure,” I replied, making him smile.

“So this boss of yours just called you up, hired you over the phone and sent you up here on a moment’s notice?” I asked.

“Yep, sure did. I didn’t have anything great going on in Dallas with my personal life, so I thought it’d be a great opportunity to get the hell out of Dodge and head to the Midwest, you know, hang out with more farmer boys. We may talk different, but we all know what we like. Dallas/Ft Worth can be kind of snooty at times. Ft. Worth is more western and Dallas is more cosmopolitan where everyone has to live way above their means and drive the fanciest of cars and live in big houses that they can’t hardly afford. I wanted a more simpler life, and the Midwest was a perfect place to go. Not only that, but the chance to hang out and work in Key West, the gay mecca of all gay meccas, well that’s just icing on the cake. You guys don’t know how great you have it, I’m telling you. I can’t wait to get started with you,” Tex said excitedly. This was almost too good to be true.

“When did you leave the metroplex area to come up here?” I asked. Tex shook his head.

“Well, the dude called me yesterday mid-morning and told me to get my ass up here by sometime today as he thought the management he had in place here had left. Not sure what that meant, but he said he’d take care of any rent due or any expenses I had in leaving, but to do whatever it took to get here as early as I could today. I packed my bags, threw them in my pickup truck and headed north last evening. I got a little shuteye along the way, somewhere in Missouri, I think, then then came straight here just a few minutes ago when you came and got me. I did as I was told and got here as early as I could, ready to do whatever I needed to do,” Tex told us, kind of proud he was able to turn this around as fast as he could. I gave him an ‘A’ for effort anyway, not really knowing who he was working for and dropping everything he had going on in the Dallas area to come north to Uni. He certainly was a trusting soul.

“Well, we’re glad to have you and get to know you. I guess your boss will be here sometime on Monday to enlighten us as to where we are and where we’re going?” I asked.

“That’s the plan. At least that’s what he told me. I guess. I am supposed to call him once I got here and checked in with you guys. I should probably do that, but I don’t want to hold up your meeting as I kind of barged in on you unannounced,” he replied apologetically.
 
Chapter 771 - B

“Hey, if you want to call him, I have a conference room next door through the back door where you can call him if you like, then we’d like for you to rejoin us for the rest of our meeting, then we’ll take you to dinner and get you set up after that to help us with Gay Night, if that sounds good to you,” I offered. He said that sounded fantastic. I ushered him through my back door to my conference room and turned on the lights. He sat down and took out his cell phone. “Don’t tell him who all you met as we’ll introduce everyone to him on Monday,” I suggested.

“That’s good, because your name is the only one I remember at this time anyway, Josh. Thank you for your kindness. I wasn’t sure what I was going to find when I got here, but you guys have been great. I just know I’m going to love it here with you guys,” Tex replied. I closed the door, then rejoined my guys. They were chuckling when I returned.

“Do you believe this, Josh? Wow, it’s almost too good to be true. The information is fascinating. Bernard just pulled someone out of the hat at the last minute when he couldn’t take it anymore and just up and fired me. He’s out of his ever loving fucking mind,” Logan commented. I had to agree.

“You know the great thing about this though?” I asked, as they listened intently to what I was going to say. “I think we just found our dorm manager. What do you guys think?” I asked as they looked at one another not really sure. “Look at all he did to get himself here to take care of his new client for a company he knows little about. He has character, I think. I mean look, come Monday when Bernard finds out he’s fucked, what’s he going to do with Tex, rooting him out of his job and Dallas overnight, not having a client anymore for him to work with. We were looking for a manager, and I think we just found him. I like him. What do you guys think?” I asked.

“His background is impressive. I think with Clark’s and my help he could be the manager we need him to be. At lease we’ll get to know him better over the weekend to find out more about him. He seems like the type that might go to the swim party tomorrow and have a good time. Can’t say as we’d all mind seeing him naked also and maybe get a gaze at the big bulge those shorts are hiding. Hey, if nothing else we have the weekend to get to know him better,” Logan commented. I think we all agreed.

A few minutes later, Tex knocked on the door behind my desk which led to the kitchen and the conference room. He peeked in. “Okay to come back?” he asked politely. I told him absolutely as we missed him already. “Well, that was positive. I got great marks for making it up here in record time. He really didn’t think I’d make it until tomorrow even. I told him I was having the best conversation with your senior staff and everyone seemed to be pleased I was here so far. He was all excited that we got along so well right off the bat. Oh and he was doubly pleased I was helping out tend bar tonight also at your pub. He told me that was a great way to assimilate with all of you, as he knew how well you took care of your business partners,” Tex shared with us somewhat excitedly. “Oh, he said he was taking an early flight out of Newark to the regional airport arriving here around 10:00 and would be in here around 11:00 on Monday to explain everything to all of you. He also said to thank you for your warm welcome for me and he looked forward to meeting you all personally on Monday. He said he had some great news and plans to share,” Tex informed us. We told Tex we looked forward to meeting him also. Tex seemed pleased.

We spent another hour or so discussing the remaining steps necessary to carry on the dormitory startup leaving out the planned takeover that was inevitable. Tex had no idea of what was to come on Monday. I just hoped he wouldn’t completely scare him away once the bomb dropped. Tex did ask what the roles of Will, Logan and Clark were. I told him that Will was my VP of Operations for all our companies. Logan was our new Manager of Hospitality businesses and would be working with him. I told him that Clark was his assistant that would be working directly with him for this project and then moving to the Key West businesses when they came on line. He asked if he could possibly put in for the Key West area then, replacing himself here with someone Bernard thought suitable to replace him. I told him we’d consider all options at that time as we liked to promote people where they liked to be placed. Tex was all excited.

We finally adjourned. Will and Logan left to go back to their apartments. Will asked if he and Logan could be excused from tonight as they had some serious catching up to do. I told him sure, as Logan didn’t usually help out anyway, and I had Tex to replace Will with. Clark said he’d definitely be there. I knew he wanted to see Tex in his underwear in the worst way. He was practically salivating at the thought, but then I was kind of that way myself, so who could blame him.

Clark, Tex and I headed over to the CNB. Tex was thoroughly impressed with the bar area, saying it was pretty snazzy for a small town bar. I told him it was only a gay bar on Saturday Nights and during the school year we had Ladies’ Night on Wednesday nights. He seemed interested it was multipurposed. I told him being a small town, we probably wouldn’t survive as an exclusive gay establishment, and that during the week we had a lot of business people for lunch due to our fantastic chef and many couples during the evening hours making it something for everyone in this town. He thought that was smart marketing.

We went upstairs to the apartment and I punched in the code. He was blown away with how nice the apartment was. “Gees you guys have it nice here. How many of you stay here?” he asked. I told him there were currently seven of us living here at the moment, only one of them a straight guy that was our security, but he was very gay friendly. I told him we had a house here in town also with many students involved with the company living there, working for us and going to school. I quickly told him about the program we had. He was overly impressed we did that for our shareholders. I told him we had some straight guys that lived there also but fit in with all the rest of the guys. Rowen appeared in his underwear so I introduced him, telling Rowen, Tex was joining us on the dormitory project. I know that was confusing to Rowen, but I told him we had done some reorganizing this afternoon and had something better worked out. Rowen let that pass, thankfully. “I love it when you guys relax in your underwear and get totally comfortable. Way to go. Rowen told him he loved his hat. “I have my Texas hat out in my truck, but thought I might want to appear a little more midwestern for my first introduction so I wore my ballcap. I told Tex to take off his clothes and get comfortable in his underwear as we all were. He hesitated briefly, then said what the fuck and shucked his clothes. I had him put them in our bedroom on the bed, telling him I would give him a pair of briefs we normally wore tending bar, handing him a new pair. “Sweet,” he said. “This is going to be more fun than I ever imagined.” I had to chuckle. He just took off everything right in front of me, then standing there naked with one rather large penis and a bucket’s worth of balls, he opened the plastic bag for the new briefs, taking his time to put them on. I almost popped a boner waiting for him to put his briefs on. “Damn, Josh, they fit great too. Glad you gave me a large. Got kind of a large basket in case you didn’t notice. Chapter 771 - C

We ordered chicken in and chowed down with some beer to chase it with. Tex got a lot of questions about his life before Uni. He seemed to fit in extremely well with all of us, feeling right at home it seemed. He was very friendly. Watching him while he was talking almost made my dick hard. Lucky said he hadn’t given up hope just yet, but he was getting impatient at this point. Just then Marvin walked in and jumped into Lucky’s arms giving him a big kiss. I introduced Marvin to Tex also since we were standing there. Marvin said it was nice to meet Tex, but needed to run to the dressing room as he was late. I thought Lucky was going to shit.

“I would have thought he might skip dancing tonight and spend some time talking to me. What the fuck, Josh,” Lucky said now greatly disappointed. Rowen was pissed also. I told him I’d talk to him later. Rowen and Lucky got busy checking ID’s then. I told Tex there were some problems there as the boyfriend to Lucky, namely Marvin, lived out of town and was supposed to have been here last night and didn’t show up until he needed to be here to dance. Tex said that didn’t sound good. I told him I didn’t think so either.

We got behind the bar. I put Tex in Will’s position to my left and Clark to my right where he had been working previously. Kyle and Blake were down from him with Ethan at the end. Allen and OBB came over from the other side with Trevor and Andy before we started getting busy. “So who’s the new tall drink of water?” they asked anxiously. I laughed as did Tex, thankfully. I just told them he was going to be working with us on the dorm project in the future.
