Chapter 788 – Someone Is Depressed and Clay Exposes Himself
Lucky was having fun trying to tease me sexually, but he seemed depressed to me for some reason. I wanted to cheer him up, but I wasn’t sure what it was going to take to bring him out of his funk. I really didn’t think sex was the way to help him, and considered his teasing just that, teasing.
“So what has you down, big guy? You’re on the mend, you’re eating well, getting sleep, building up your energy again and everything seems to be going in the right direction. You have Rowen here to pester even if he is trying to take advantage of you which should make you feel good. Why do you seem down?” I asked. Lucky sighed.
“Everything you said is true and for all practical purposes I should feel great. The worst is over. I survived to fight again. The bad guys are all in jail and if everything goes right will probably be there rest of their lives. My good friend and mentor, Conner is now the police chief and Neal is certain to be his top aid. I could possibly get a promotion out of this also. Hell, I should be ecstatic, Josh. I couldn’t be happier,” he said upbeat, then his tone changed to somewhat sad. “Except I’m not ecstatic and happy. Someone I thought I loved betrayed me and now love has gone out of my life. I know I shouldn’t complain after all those years of just using women for sex and never bothering to establish a relationship with any of them. There were never any sparks going back and forth, just sperm hitting a dead end in a condom only to be tossed out and discarded, useless at best. I finally experienced love, what I somehow managed to dream it to be only to have that blown out of the water by some kind of deranged heterosexual with a wife, and that asshole wanted the love I had. Fuck Drake. What an asshole. Marvin and I were so good together when we were. Drake had to piss all over that and end it for Marvin and me. Yeh, I guess I’m pissed now that I have time to think about it, now that I’m going to live and rejoin society again. The bad guys nearly took away my life and Drake definitely took away the love of my life. Sure, I’m alive and physically only going to get better, but emotionally, I hurt like hell, Josh. It just hurts now that I have time to deal with that part of my life,” Lucky told me. I scooted closer to him and grabbed his arm.
“It’s the shits, no doubt about it, Lucky. I could only imagine your pain as to even venture a guess as to how I’d feel if Jake and I had to split up. I would be devastated also. But, you have to look at it this way. Marvin was just one dude and there are millions of them out there, one of them sure to love you like he never could. You have to bury the past and look forward to the future. Sure the pain lingers, but like they say, time heals all wounds. You are fortunate in that you have a lot of friends that love you like we do. Those friends, me, Jake, Rowen, Conner, Neal, to name just a few, all care deeply about you. You’re not alone in your grief, Lucky. We’re here to try to make you happy and live a worthwhile rewarding life full of fun and adventure and most importantly, love,” I told him.
“I know what you say is true, but right here, right now, I feel so empty and bored. I can’t watch TV as it just doesn’t hold my interest. I just want Marvin here to hold me and tell me everything is going to be okay. You’re doing your best, Josh. God knows I love you to death because you’ve been at my side through all of this when you didn’t have time, but you were there and are here. Rowen is trying, but it’s not the same. I know he means well, and I have to love him for what he’s trying to do for me, but I just feel icky right now, like I’m kind of worthless and can’t do much for anyone at the moment. Does that make sense?” he asked, seemingly depressed. I put my arm around his good shoulder and gave him a side hug.
“I’m not exactly sure what to do to make you feel better, Lucky. Believe me if there is something that will make you feel better, I’ll try to do my best to help you out there. But don’t tell me sex as I don’t think that’s the answer to your problem at the moment. It might only make it worse or worse yet possibly injure you somewhat,” I told him. He leaned in and kissed me, then sighed.
“I guess you’re right about the sex. As wonderful as it is with you, It’d bring back thoughts of what I’m missing with Marvin. That’s certainly not going to help at all,” he said, sighing. We were interrupted with a phone call from Clay.
“Hey stranger, you kind of disappeared on us. You still keeping in contact with Kenny?” I asked.
“So sorry for that, Josh. Yes, I try to call Kenny a couple of times a day and check in with him although I haven’t been by to see him in a couple of days. Hey, I was wondering if I could meet you somewhere and talk to you about something. I really need to talk to you,” Clay told me, sounding somewhat urgent.
“Well I’m keeping a dear friend company this afternoon so if you don’t mind talking in front of him, I’m available. I’m hanging with Lucky this afternoon as he needs me at the moment. He’s in a bit of a funk, if you know what I mean,” I replied. Clay chuckled.
“Aren’t we all. Yeh, Lucky’s fine, no problem. I might bring Alex to meet you also as he hasn’t met you yet, and it’d be good for him to meet Lucky also, the hero of our local police department. I really need your advice on something if that’s not a problem,” Clay told me.
“Good luck with the advice thing. Don’t know what it is, but we can take a stab at it anyway. Yeh sure, bring Alex as Lucky and I need to look him over before we decide whether he’s good enough for you,” I chided. Lucky even chuckled just hearing me say that. Clay chuckled also. I gave him Lucky’s address and he said they’d be there in a few.
“Lucky, Clay is coming over with his supposedly new boyfriend, one of the new reporters he hired. He needs some advice on something so I told him we’d hear him out and try to help. You up for that?” I asked. Lucky threw up his arms and smiled.
“Might as well hear other people’s problems instead of moping about mine. Sure, why not. Guess I should put some shorts on and a t-shirt to look half-way presentable for them,” he said, then started to get up.
“Sit there and I’ll get them for you. Just relax,” I told him, jumping up to fetch his shorts and t-shirt. “Although you just might turn them on looking like you are at the moment. I mean that hairy chest of yours and those perky nipples, that treasure trail going down to those pubes, those nice big balls of yours and that ass loving cock you have on top of those hairy legs, just might get them so excited they won’t be able to contain themselves,” I teased.
“If I’m that damn sexy how come you haven’t fucked me yet today?” Lucky teased. I ;laughed, telling him I finally made him laugh today. “Yeh, right and gave me a boner in the process which doesn’t help matters at all, Josh,” Lucky complained, then told me where his shorts and t-shirt were. They were nicely folded on the top of his dresser in his room right beside Rowen’s which I recognized. That gave me a small chuckle.
I helped Lucky put on his shorts and grazed his junk in the process, making him call me a tease. I told him he was just too hot to resist, trying to boost his ego some to make him feel better. I didn’t want to get too carried away, not wanting to disappoint him in any way. He looked good once he was dressed. I leaned in and gave him a kiss after we got him dressed. I even found his hair brush and brushed his hair for him.
“Damn, if there was someway to make Jake disappear, I could have you all to myself,” Lucky chided. I told him not to even think about that. Moments later, the doorbell rang, but we had already been alerted as to people approaching the door from his new security system Garth set up for him. I let them in. Clay leaped into my arms and gave me a nice kiss, then I saw Alex and he introduced him to me. Clay quickly went over and gave Lucky a hug while he was sitting down asking him how he was feeling.
“Physically I’m okay and getting stronger by the day. Emotionally, I’m shit, but Josh is trying to help with that. So who’s the new hot reporter you have working for you?” he asked extending his hand out to Alex. Clay introduced Alex to Lucky. Alex was a little taller than Clay, extremely good looking, long legs, lean and mean from what we could see of him in his polo shirt and khakis. He had beautiful eyes and a vibrant smile, looking like a fashion model actually. He was sure to go far as a news personality if not just for his looks on camera. It was obvious that Clay was smitten with him.
“Clay has told me so much about you both, I feel like I know you already,” Alex told Lucky and me.
“Well, he obviously hasn’t told you too much or you wouldn’t have shown up here today,” Lucky chided, making them laugh.
“Not true, Lucky. You were quite the news story. That interview I did with you in the hospital got all kinds of fan emails from viewers. Even the network picked it up as to who was injured in the massive take down in Uni that took place. They want to do another follow-up story in a week or so to see how you’re getting along. I’d love to do one with Kenny, but we really need to avoid that at all costs for his own good and safety,” Clay replied. Lucky said he supposed so also.
Lucky was having fun trying to tease me sexually, but he seemed depressed to me for some reason. I wanted to cheer him up, but I wasn’t sure what it was going to take to bring him out of his funk. I really didn’t think sex was the way to help him, and considered his teasing just that, teasing.
