Incidentally the General Hospital Luke and Laura wedding drew 30 million viewers.

Also Christopher Cross had a hit song 'Think of Laura' a lot because of the popularity of the Luke and Laura love story on General Hospital

I thought he wrote it for the soap opera but that was not so. It was to mourn the death of a college student hit by a stray bullet from a gang war incident.

Anyhoo. R.I.P.

Peter Arnett, Pulitzer Prize-winning war reporter, at 91.

Was he the one who did the BBC interview where he asked Saddam Hussein about Osama Bin Laden where Hussein said Bin Laden had visited him, but Hussein had declined any cooperation, unlike how this state of affairs was presented by George W. Bush?

We heard that interview on the BBC World Service, but I don't remember who did it.

Actor James Ransone, known for his role in 'The Wire,' dead at 46

He was also well-known in gay circles for his auto-erotic asphyxiation scene in "Ken Park". Such a shame to kick heroin addiction and then die by suicide. :(

I only knew him from It: Chapter 2. Sounds like it was in quite a bit though.
He was working very steadily. Usually wanking onscreen is a career-killer but he went on to do some good work after Ken Park. He had complained that, in spite of his consistent work in television, he was barely getting by financially. Being a heroin addict for 5 years also drained his finances but he had been sober for a while. No word on why he was in Los Angeles (he was from Baltimore and had been living in NYC) or what led to his suicide.

He left a wife and child behind.
