I've been going on dates with a guy who is super into me, creative, hard-working, very good looking, positive, just finished self publishing a book, and is so "right" for me in so many ways, yet I can't seem to develop any feelings for him. I don't long for him. It's kind of upsetting, seeing the greatness, but not actually feeling it.

^ Well that sucks. Just enjoy the sex then.

Stop this ridiculous moaning about being incapable of getting involved with a guy. Here is one who seems to suit you down to the ground and you complaining that you don't long for him. It is not necessary to have all these emotions that you seem to believe will only come around when you meet Mr Right.

Meeting a guy you like is sufficient reason to spend time with him, no need to analyse it.

It doesn't matter; if the sex is good then enjoy it for what it is; if he is fun to be with then enjoy spending time with him. You don't have to fall in love with him just enjoy sharing his life for a while and see what happens.

What a mess!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pulled a mug out of the freezer and out comes the open box of baking soda. Baking soda everywhere! And the kitchen has carpet. I don't know who's bright idea it was to put carpet in the kitchen. Idiot. Using a broom on tile/linoleum would've been easier and faster than getting the vacuum cleaner.

As for carpet in the kitchen, it's real fun to clean when you drop a slice of bread with mayonnaise on it. Of course, the bread landed mayonnaise side down.

Thank you. Too many people have this type mentality towards dating and wonder why their shits don't work out. Approaching it with the wrong mentality sabotaging their dates and relationships. It's ridiculous.

Honestly, I myself don't even feel like dating because there's too many bullshitters with the wrong type of thinking and wondering why their asses end up with nothing

^the bread always does. There was a gif I saw once where a piece of toast was tied to the back of a cat and dropped. As cats always land on their feet, the theory went, it would rotate in midair, a mini perpetual motion device. I loath kitchens with carpets.

You basically just do what he does though.

The reason I think about it is because he's into me. So I do feel weird that I can't seem to return that.

I agree completely with David. You keep looking for "feelings" to define your relationships. So what if your feelings don't match his.
Everything you said about him sounds great and still you are unhappy. Ignore your feelings and get to know him. Hopefully, the feelings will follow. You have an idea of what love should feel like, time to let go of that idea. Oh, gosh!

Hey. If he's cool hanging out with someone who feels nothing....enjoy the sex. And enjoy him for what it is. Company, friendship...whatever.

If he has really fallen for you, then you need to tell him that you don't feel the same way and that he should look for someone who will actually make him happy.

I'm not looking for them. But they would need to exist for me to proceed further. I just have this awful feeling that I'm wasting his time. That someone out there would be way better to him than I. I care about him, but maybe friendship is all I should pursue.

I am honestly thinking of backing out of my brothers wedding. He is a huge supporter of someone like Rand Paul, and he plans to do a write in ballot for this man.

Knowing what this man is about when it comes to civil rights issues and comments he made, I honestly can't help take it personally.

Are you one of the groomsmen? Perhaps you will achieve a greater good by wearing a noticeable, tasteful rainbow pin on your lapel. The ceremony will become a public statement of inclusion.

Funnily enough my boyfriend actually suggested this too.

I hate the Republicans, but the fact that he would rather write in Rand Paul than actually vote for Trump, Cruz, or Rubio is a low-key win.
