the last film you watched thread

The People Under The Stairs.

Tomorrow, a horror fest from dawn to dusk. ..|

As SyFy here are showing the series Dominion I thought I'd give the film it is based on a shot so I watched Legion which wasn't a bad show expect the possessed by the Angels seemed more demonic. Angles to me would just kick ass a la soliders.

In the spirit of Halloween I watched The Conjuring last night. Not bad. The first half is much better and genuinely creepy before it turns into a more familiar exposition of horror movie mediocrity.

Beneath

Nothing amazing or doing anything really new, but it accomplishes what it set out to do pretty good. I enjoyed it, entertaining movie.

Harold and Kumar: Escape From Guatanamo Bay.

Currently, SuperBad.

Yesterday?

30 Days Of Night, Prom Night(1980's one... one of the few old-school horrors where I PREFER the updated version... this was just pure cheese), Halloween I & II(Rob Zombie remakes), The Woman, The Mist, You're Next, and Planet Terror.

Nightwatcher and Box Trolls.

Nightwatcher was pretty creepy but also randomly enough had comedic moments too, it was a very interesting movie, haven;t really seen a movie that can mesh too emotions that well.

And I loved Coraline and ParaNorman so Box Trolls was amazing too. The film can compete with all of Disney's latest animations imo. It was pretty sweet.

^ I enjoyed it very much. Especially the bit about the first investors of the railway going bankrupt seems still to ring true with technology today.

^It didn't have Dickens' mysterious and eccentric moods, nor Thackeray's keen eye for society, but I thought the characters' development was superb. I enjoyed my changing perceptions of them as the story unfolded.

Just got back from Fathom Events on the big screen. "Of Mice & Men" with James Franco, Chris O'Dowd and Leighton Meester. It was very well acted.

Interstellar.

As one of my most anticipated movies of the year, it didn't quite fully satisfy. Not bad by any means. Pretty much standard Nolan stuff, only more slow and boring in spots. Lots of slow, melancholic scenes in slow mo makes it drag often. A long film that will truly test your bladder.
