the last film you watched thread

I just saw a wonderful little Brazilian movie called, "The Way He Looks." Absolutely charming coming of age movie. Highly recommended.

Goro Miyazaki's likable but ordinary From Up On Poppy Hill (2011).

It Follows

Definitely a good film, but definitely not a film for everyone. Has a good atmosphere, good cinematography, good acting and is pretty suspenseful. A lot of reviews are going on about how scary it is, but I didn't really find it all that scary. It was creepy at parts and suspenseful when it was meant to be. Soundtrack is excellent.

I can definitely see people not enjoying because of how long some scenes might be and because all the hype that it is getting from critics that is very scary. I can also see people not liking for another reason that I won't spoil, but I personally did enjoy it for what it was and find that it is has a few different horror aspects instead of just one at face value.

Million ways to die in the west.....omg....so fuckin funny when he screamed "ouch! That one came out of my penis!"

Gotta love a good fart joke

A Pakistani expat suffers the futility and sorrow of life in New York after 9/11.

Mira Nair's The Reluctant Fundamentalist. (2012)

Maleficent. Terribly disappointing. Looking for the iconic evil incarnate who fought good with 'all the powers of hell'? Keep looking.

I was thinking about going to see this weekend but might wait for On Demand/DVD. I saw the same hype for The Babadook and I did not find the film scary at all.
