the last film you watched thread

Every now and again some banal instinct prompts me watch a pop christian movie like God's Not Dead (2014) which strikes me as a perverse comedy but pretty quickly devolves into apoplectic disgust.

lol....Kevin sorbo should've been the kicker

Somehow I thought he would make it funnier. #-o

But seriously, now that I'm through the thing, it's quite fun telling people about all its bizarre components.

The 1978, 1995 or 2010 version? The Roger Corman original is a favorite movie.

Me too. I randomly grabbed the 95 version off the shelf on my way to bed. I really like the 2010 version too, although I think that has a lot to do with Steven r McQueen bein' in it*|*

Chasity....omg

This is the biggest piece of shit I've ever sat through

NEW YORK STORIES -- 1980s compilation of three short stories. Loved the first one starring Nick Nolte (H-O-T).

Battle Royale. Yes, it was somewhat better than the Hunger Games. I just missed a plot a bit too much, I'm afraid. I'm torn.

"The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel "

Not as good as the first one but some pleasant moments and some amusing one liners. Obviously the cast of aging stars were more than perfect in their roles. Even Richard Gere managed to do him self proud.

I watched Joyride on STARZ the other night and I couldn't believe how bad it was from script to acting and directing.

The Imitation Game was just brilliant, I thought, and what a great performance. Very entertaining.

Surprisingly for me, I watched an old movie from 1956 called Safari with Victor Mature and Janet Lee. Though there are a couple of wtf moments it turned out to be very good.

The old Rita Hayworth film Salome was dreadful. Charles Laughton did a very laughable Herod. Judith Anderson, as his wife, was just as dreadful, and whoever played John the Baptist did all his scenes with his face upward. Rita looked amazing.

How many times does "Oh Moses, Moses" get said in The Ten Commandments? That's the one they run every Easter and/or Passover.
