Maybe I'm weird, but some movies I never get tired of...

1977's Why Does Herr R. Run Amok?. (Controversy over whether Fassbinder actually directed it.)

An abundance of cigarettes doesn't cure the suffering of the bourgeois hero who, yes, runs amok. I don't think it holds up so well. The climax is sedate and its precedents sleepy.

Bleach 4: Hell Chapter...
After really digging The Diamond Dust Rebellion (in spite of Hitsugaya being the focal point...*puke*) and Fade to Black, this movie was a HUGE letdown. The story was weak, the villains were lame, shoddy fight sequences and next to no kidou use.

Hellraiser...
When all else fails, Hellraiser can pull me out of the depths of boredom not matter how many times I've watched it. And after actually finishing Hell Chapter, I needed it.

Just saw "Source Code" on PPV

Jake Gylenhaal is mad sexy

Last night, we went to see Fright Night and it was awesome! Much less campy than I thought it would be. And Colin was so hot in it!

Tonight we rented John Carpenter's The Ward. It had a pretty decent ending, but the movie was slow and choppy. Anybody else see it? Thoughts?

Today I saw The Kill List - an incredibly intense and horrifically violent British thriller about a couple of hit-men. Very disturbing film - well worth seeing though (unless you are squemish)

Then I saw Fright Night which was a bit of fluffy fun (especially after Kill List). Wierd how splattery axe-to-the-head gore in Fright Night doesn't even come close to being as disturbing as the violence in Kill List.

Final Destination 5, I will say I did NOT expect that twist at the end.

El Bulli: Cooking in Progress

For six months of the year, renowned Spanish chef Ferran Adria closes his restaurant El Bulli -- repeatedly voted the world's best -- and works with his culinary team to prepare the menu for the next season. An elegant, detailed study of food as avant-garde art, EL BULLI: COOKING IN PROGRESS is a rare inside look at some of the world's most innovative and exciting cooking; as Adria himself puts it, "the more bewilderment, the better!"
