the last film you watched thread

This one, it was alright, nothing I'd rush off to see again.

I saw "The Past" it won best foreign film at the Golden Globes. It was a very depressing story about a dysfunctional family but it stayed interesting all the way to the end. Did anyone else see this film? It you did I have some questions about the ending. I don't want to post them here because it would spoil it for others who haven't see this movie yet? This movie should have got an Oscar nomination as well.
This weekend I'm hoping to see Nebraska. I've seen most of the nominees so far.

Spirited Away - A-MAZING!

^Probably my favorite movie ever.

I just watched X-Men: First Class (2011). Will the hero, Magneto, find it in his heart to forgive and have empathy for his enemies? Of course not!

With the thoughtfulness of a minstrel show...the suaveness of a pantsuit...aspiring toward The Exorcist...but achieving something more like one of the cheesier episodes of the original Star Trek...it's...

The Manitou (1978).

An evil "medicine man" pops out of a lady's back and only love will save the day.

LOL I bought that film years ago on DVD, I've never laughed so hard in my life. Such unintentional hilarity to be found in that gem. :D

saw an old film, chorus line.
the song nothing - i can relate lol

"They Were Sisters". The insinuation of incest surprised me in such an old film.

I saw "Nebraska" last night. Great movie. June Squib who plays opposite Bruce Dern as his wife is hysterically funny in this movie. It's a funny and in a lot of ways sad movie that was filmed in black and white. I definitely recommend this movie if you haven't seen it yet.

A bit of a commercial for Swedenborg, but a reasonable overview nonetheless, Splendors of the Spirit: Swedenborg's Quest for Insight.
