the last film you watched thread

I've stopped paying attention to current releases to the point that I'm missing out on movies like this unless I'm clobbered over the head with them. But Julianne Moore in a Cronenberg movie? Queued.

I really enjoyed this film. Hope you like it.

Oculus

Not too bad of a horror movie, dug how it ended.

The French Connection

First time seeing it, enjoyed it quite a bit.

I watched The Hundred - Foot Journey. The male lead, Manish Dayal, is good looking.

Nice film too. It is more like a feel good film.

Cinderella

Enjoyed the film, pretty much got what I expected out the film. Cate Blanchett as the Stepmother was really good. But the Frozen short in the beginning annoyed me and makes me not want to see the original even more.

A broody melodrama about a sensitive young man whose dreams of being a writer are thwarted by his abusive father.

Udaan (2010).

I have a surviving, independent video store near me.

Last week, I rented Whiplash (2014). I liked it. It is about the drive, the hard pushing, to achieve greatness in art. The film's lead character is wonderfully played by Miles Teller. And the performance by J.K. Simmons, who was awarded the 2014 Oscar for best supporting actor, is incomparable.

I was hoping to see Whiplash this week but it is no longer showing.

The Mist.....I fuckin love this movie....great cast....lists of scares

Agora 2009.

Interesting, but doesn't seem to fulfill any of its ambitions adequately.

Still, Amenábar deserves much praise for trying to make a movie set in late antiquity alone.

A goofy but enjoyable thriller with superb cinematography of one of my favorite places, Kahaani (2012).

I can't stop watchin The Interview.....Franco cracks me up in that flick

A lurid colonialist pastiche of nonsense brought to us by Rod Serling.

Sathya Sai Baba, Man of Miracles (circa 70s).
