The new Friday The 13th Movie

Can't we just rent the older movies and see the same stuff, though? I'll have to wait for the DVD on this one. Definitely not worth 10 bucks to see a warmed over horror flick, even if the gorgeous Jared Padalecki is in it.

Well, I've heard a lot of good things about the remake. And the originals suck.. lol so...

Re: The new Friday The 3th Movie

I would actually like to see a male last to the end (and not cause I like cock). The whole female heroine thing has been done numerous times, let's get something different, it's always a big boobed blonde or brunette in an extra small t-shirt, drenched by the rain running through the woods.

Never gonna happen unless it's some gay thriller. Those are the rules. And the only big boobed uber sexpot final girl only happens in I Know What You Did Last Summer, I think.

And yeah, they were trying to give out passes for the preview in my school. Desperately.

my boyfriend and i were laughing about this. we said the final girl usually has a big fight and chase scene. and well. in this film. the final girl happens to be a
guy
. but, i won't say exactly which one.

The model for the final girl (At least from the 70's and 80's) is someone who is sexually ambiguous. Sure, she can be a sexpot if she wanted to, but she hides it. She's hesitant in acting out her desires. Remember, the ones who flash her tits dies. Jamie Lee Curtis and Neve Campbell aren't that overtly sexy. Nancy from Elm Street or any of the girls from Elm Street III aren't neither.

Phoenix no one said it wasn't, I'm just basically stating that in most slasher films the killer is normally stalking a big boobed blonde or brunette...

Olivia Hussey (Black Christmas 1974) She has big boobs watch the movie!

I know, but most of the time films like that suck.. Which is why I was shocked when TCM remake turned out pretty good. Besides, Jessica Biel is hot.. Even as a gay guy, I'd so hit that. Best ending to a horror movie ever.

THANK...YOUUU!!!!
I'm a fag (not the cigarrette!!!) but Jessica Biel is hot as hell. She looked damn fine in that movie. I'd totally hit it.

Ahh, see, I just had to pay the normal weekday price of $4.75--so I was sitting pretty. Popcorn in one hand, Mr. Pibb in the other, and giant screen filled with Jared...oh yeah, sitting pretty.

I'm going to avoid it until it shows up on TV. Mixing up the whole sequence and totally missing the point of the original, which was a revenge tale more than boogeyman flick are enough to warrant extremely low expectations.

JASON SLASHES BOX OFFICE RECORDS

" Friday the 13th " , the remake of the 1980 slasher flick has opened with $42.2 million, putting blood and guts ahead of hearts over Valentine's Day weekend.

That's a record for the horror genre, topping the $39.1 million debut for 2004's " The Grudge ."

I get the feeling that's because there are more single people trying to avoid the mushy shit than loved up couples wanting to sit in a dark room for a couple of hours...with three hundred other people.

This movie is about revenge too... And they don't necessarily mess up the whole sequence. The whole thing with Jason's mom is a thing of the past in this movie. The directer just chose to skip that part and make a movie about Jason's return.

Cause think about it.. When people say Friday the 13th, which person comes to mind right away? Jason. Not Jason's mom. It makes sense to do it this way. And it's being done without screwing up the order of events.

Awww snap. GO JASON! :gogirl:

I'll still wait for it to get posted on one of the free movie sites to see it.

dammit!

i'm seeing it tomorrow then.

i've heard nothing but great reviews for this new updated classic!!

will Halloween 2 make as much......

Probably not. The Halloween remake wasn't so much a hit. I personally liked it... But many thought Rob Zombie's style was too.... white trash-like.

But I am pretty excited for H2. The teaser poster looks pretty cool. And my two favorite girls from the first is returning.

But I doubt it'll do as good as Friday the 13th.
