I am not qualified in anyway to have an opinion on transgender issues.
The transgender activist lobby and their useful idiot friends keep telling us that hormonal treatment and re-assignment surgery are necessary to prevent suicide. However, I understand that the suicide rate for transgender men and women who've had surgery is substantially higher than for those who've not.
At the SCOTUS hearings this week, WPATH and the trans-idenitified ACLU lawyer Chase Strangio finally admitted that this was not true.
It took them many years, but once they had to speak under oath, they said the truth.
This bit is what WPATH and other activist organizations have been claiming for over a decade, has been debunked over and over, and which they have now admitted under oath to be not true. The transgender activist lobby and their useful idiot friends keep telling us that hormonal treatment and re-assignment surgery are necessary to prevent suicide.
This bit is absolutely true. It is also rising fast, and their deaths are occurring sooner than before: now it's often within three to five years after surgery, whereas a decade ago it was usually after 10 to 20 years. However, I understand that the suicide rate for transgender men and women who've had surgery is substantially higher than for those who've not.

And you seem to think that parents are incredibly stupid people who then would rush to get sexual reassignment surgery the following week for their kid.
It is faqcile, reductive and insulting.
Oh gee. That represents 100% of everyone who has ever had surgery within the last 30 years. My god, amzing that this anonymous person would take on being the voice for 100% of trans people. But hey, don't take my word for it. Listen to detransitioners, or this man who wrote an article for the WaPo
She was a signatory to an open letter published by The Sunday Times defending J. K. Rowling against criticism for transphobia. In an interview with Feminist Current, she stated that when referencing transgender people, she does not necessarily use the pronouns that the person uses. She said, "If a man uses 'she' pronouns... I'm adamant that he is free to identify as he wants. But we're also all free to identify things how we perceive them."
