Ya know the Mets more than made up for the loss to the Cards by out beating the Tigers.
Now That was a game!

Pedro was terrific in his first start. I dono what they did to his arm but man his velocity was as good as it’s ever been. He pitched four shutout innings. found his spots and threw a nasty changeup.
Oh man, did I love watching him strike out Cabrera with that great cutter slider.
Actually he struck out Guillen and Ordonez as well.
He basically said “Hey Johan, I’m still a player too”

Good to see Beltron coming to life as well, I love watching him bat lefty and go the opposite way. A lot of his hits go to left field, which isn't’t easy for a lefty to do. But when he can stay on the ball he has the power to hit the ball to left center field. He did that a lot last year as well.

Yes,it's kind of a disconnect....almost anticlimactic and having the feel of a glorified exhibition game.But it is a win on Boston's record,and I'm so excited that the baseball season is finally upon us!:D

No I didn't!God,he is clueless about baseball.Gay,don't think so...but it was hysterical!I saw the link and he is not a sports fan at all....it was really entertaining,though.

Yeah, if the Mets' can't beat the Cards in Spring Training, I'm sure they'll do fabulous. :p

A good point was brought up today on our local news. The Cards won 17 games in Spring Training. Every year they've won that many, they've made it to the playoffs.

Being the underdog can have its advantages :badgrin:
