OMG Skip Schumaker in a thong? I would bust a nut at the sight of such beauty.

But, if you would have told me that we would take 2 of 3 from the Tampa Bay Rays, who seem to be the surprise of the season, I would have laughed in your face because we had just lost 6 of 7 :cry:

Maybe this is the kick in the ass that we needed!

Plus, my baby's daddy Skip hit the game winning double in the bottom of the 10th inning today! (!)

Anyway,with the Mets two wins against the Yankees,and the way they won...it's looking much better for the organization and their fans!I'm proud of them and the way they just got back to playing good,enjoyable baseball!:D

Indeed it is Brad!:DI posted about it in another thread,but Jon Lester's no-hitter against the Royals was a tremendous achievement.To think the prospect he was finding out he had to battle lymphoma at such a young age,conquer it after a tough battle,and resume his career and make such a contribution last year with the playoffs and World Series and now a no-hitter,it is amazing.Such a nice young man from what I've read and one of the best up and coming arms in baseball...Jon Lester is truly a great story and I am very happy for him.And what is it now for Jason Varitek...catching four no hitters with Lester's achievement I believe.

I feel my previous response to the post was kind of callous,as I skipped over it to cry about my Mets,but I certainly hate to see any kind of injury on the field,and that kind of injury is a particularly scary one.Hope the Padre pitcher Chris Young is okay.

anyway we have win eight straight after splitting with the Angels, sorry we did not sweep them but that is the best west coast trip we had in memory, 7-3.
 
I hope we can sweep the Dodgers today! It'd be huge momentum coming up for the series versus Houston, who is surprisingly doing very well at the moment.

and the first place White Sox win in the 12th over Cleveland - this is one of the more surprising teams in the AL since Detroit and Cleveland were suppose to walk away with the division

I'm happy!
